Thanks Ryan! As a finance student and investor, your content has helped me a lot. No one else on UA-cam goes over quantitative methods step by step.

Great video Ryan! Thank you for taking the time to go in to detail. This type of spread (either put or call) has been my best strategy in terms of win percentage, but as you note, its limited in profit and therefore much less entertaining.

Great clear explanation. I did my first one on Fidelity yesterday that expired today. I bought a 566 spy call and sold a 568 spy call yesterday that expired today. I don' understand though because at close today the market is at 590 but I'm showing a loss? It showed me my breakeven was 567.40.. obviously it's way above that. Can these show a loss until the exercise/assign/closing is all settled? Kinda worries me to see this.. and if I did something wrong.

I'm new to investing, and I've lost a good sum trying out strategies I found in online tutorials. I would sincerely appreciate any recommendations you have.

Hello! I would suggest looking into Mark Meldrum's courses call "Applied Level". His company is not a channel sponsor or affiliate of mine but I have had him on here for an interview. He has two courses you may be interested in, one is on portfolio management and the other is on options trading. I'm going through the portfolio management course right now and it is very well done: www.markmeldrum.com/product-category/applied-level/
