- Today I both a hammer drill Makita and the seller he gave me this cordless drill Bosch GSR VE-2-LI for free because it doesn't work and the chuck is stuck and rusty. This is not a restoration I just fixed the drill, chuck and torque setting. I did not replace the LED light because the electronic board is sealed and I don't want to damage it.
I didn't replace the carbon brushes because I'm not a fan of replacement if it still works. Maybe you have a similar cordless drill and maybe you can find something to help you in this video.
Thank you for watching
This is the kind of restoration which needs to be done more often. Everyone is so concerned with making the the tool look new, when they should be more concerned with making it work.
Indeed,thanks for comment 🍺🍺
Great work. How you remembered where all those parts belong is beyond me. Awesome 👌
Excellent job...no boring music, just getting the job done....like it
That was very interesting. Good work.
Nice work, once again.

Is not impossible, but is very hard to replace it the carbon brushes,In my opinion buy another one.
What kind of grease is that blue grease?
What grease gun is that that you use?
Maybe a link to where you bought them would be helpful to some.
The grease is liqui molly lithium grease and that gun is beta mini grease gun, you can find on amazom.thank you for comment.
@@AlexBRestoration Thanks, Ive been looking for some actual grease when I clean out my fans of dust for the summer or so each year. Ive tried some other kind of lithium grease though and it didnt really work out too well.
@@John877 you can try Teflon silicone lubricant for fans.
Hi Alex thankyou for your explanation. Very nice. What should we pay attention to when installing the speed adjustment button (gear selector). The speed doesn't change when you wear mine
Ottimo video, utilissimo.
Mine has a problem with torque selector. Nothing happens when changing numbers and the ring don't click anymore, just spin smoothly. Any ideas?
Remove the selector and clean it,maybe there's you have dirt,or try to clean with WD40 from outside.🍺🍺
What kind grease your use? Rubber grease or for metal grease?
Hi,thank you for comment, the grease is LiquiMolly lithium grease.
Using a drill to take a drill apart.
Super tare
Is there a way to disassemble the chuck to get to each individual tooth?
Yes
How is it done? The problem with my chuck is that the teeth are blunt and drill bits tend to slip especially when drilling metal
I have a similar video bosch cordless drill brushless and in the minute 4:40, I dissemble the chuck.🍺🍺

Muito bom esplicacáo
Nice vidéo !!
Do you know how to remove the drill chuck of the 18ve2li ?!I have removed the bolt inside the drill chuck counterclockwise, but the drill chuck doesn't get off.I have put a allen wrench tighted the drill chuck and tried to unscrew clockwise but nothing...
Thank you
You have to put a allen key in the drill chuck and hit with a hammer to unscrew counter-clockwise. Thank you for comment 🍺
Queria ver como le cambiaba los carbones :(
Пайка на 2, розмазал как масло по хлебу.

Hi.is BETA 1750 mini grease gun.
@@AlexBRestoration thank you. Bro.
How to ripear a head.
Да да отличный сервис, но опять же мотор и редуктор изначально живые, в реалии мотор бы уже в хлам был убит, редуктор конечно под вопросом.
Excellent service
You took a broken drill with a terribly rusted chuck, removed, cleaned, repaired, and lubricated all the parts, put it back together and returned it to fine working condition....that is not only a restoration....that, my friend, is a work of art! Best wishes and stay healthy.
Thank you I appreciate your comment🍺🍺
Nice job Alex😊
I wouldn’t expose the metal parts to water, I’m sure there was water left in that drill.
Have you ever changed the brushes on one of these drills?
On this models no,but on milwaukee ones yes.
@@AlexBRestoration thanks for the reply, is it the same motor? Do you have a video on it?
