  • Today I both a hammer drill Makita and the seller he gave me this cordless drill Bosch GSR VE-2-LI for free because it doesn't work and the chuck is stuck and rusty. This is not a restoration I just fixed the drill, chuck and torque setting. I did not replace the LED light because the electronic board is sealed and I don't want to damage it.
    I didn't replace the carbon brushes because I'm not a fan of replacement if it still works. Maybe you have a similar cordless drill and maybe you can find something to help you in this video.
    Thank you for watching

    This is the kind of restoration which needs to be done more often. Everyone is so concerned with making the the tool look new, when they should be more concerned with making it work.

    What kind of grease is that blue grease?
    What grease gun is that that you use?
    Maybe a link to where you bought them would be helpful to some.

      The grease is liqui molly lithium grease and that gun is beta mini grease gun, you can find on amazom.thank you for comment.

    Hi Alex thankyou for your explanation. Very nice. What should we pay attention to when installing the speed adjustment button (gear selector). The speed doesn't change when you wear mine

    Do you know how to remove the drill chuck of the 18ve2li ?!I have removed the bolt inside the drill chuck counterclockwise, but the drill chuck doesn't get off.I have put a allen wrench tighted the drill chuck and tried to unscrew clockwise but nothing...
    Thank you

      @AlexBRestoration  2 роки тому

      You have to put a allen key in the drill chuck and hit with a hammer to unscrew counter-clockwise. Thank you for comment 🍺

    You took a broken drill with a terribly rusted chuck, removed, cleaned, repaired, and lubricated all the parts, put it back together and returned it to fine working condition....that is not only a restoration....that, my friend, is a work of art! Best wishes and stay healthy.
