Ein wundervolles Duett. So etwas wie das wird es
wohl nie mehr geben.Gar nicht auszumalen wie schwierig es ist klassische Oper und Rockmusik miteinander zu verbinden.Ein wahres Meisterwerk.

    The most extraordinary duet...
Madame Caballe's gorgeous voice is the perfect foil to Freddie's... and he gave Rock his operatic voice.
Thank you Freddie and Montserrat: these tears are for you both.

I just had to add - observing the clip through again - the dynamics between the two, the body language is brilliant - under such close camera scrutiny it loses nothing. Stays authentic throughout. You rarely get opera duets looking so convincingly rivetting!

there was so much passion in that video it honestly brought a lump to my throat,i saw the making of that video once on one of the channels,it was so unbelievable what montserrat cabelle was saying about freddie, how much she adored him and loved his music, and he was equally flattering to her,it was a start of a beautiful relationship that lasted for the remainder of freddie's life.god bless you freddie you was one in a million, the greatest showman the music world ever seen or probably will again

La combinación es espectacular... no hay palabras para describir la belleza que pueden formar y conformar dos voces tan distintas.
La voz normal y corriente, usual, de cantante de éxito mezclada con la voz de melodia de ópera... magnífico!
    Barcelona!

    Masterpiece.
The fusion of rock -here a rock singer-and classical and other genres: the best contribution of Freddy and the Queen to the Music and its history.
I was listening to this song -the first time- during a journey in Spain, it finished when I reached Barcelona, magic!

I really miss Freddie. Never met him but loved his performances from day one. My husband left me two weeks before Freddie died, I didn't cry for my husband but I was totally heartbroken when Freddie died, I suppose it was because he was such a lovely person. I always think of him at this time of the year. I agree there has never been a performer like Freddie.

Thanks God we have videos and footage of his amazing life. A king of Rock, A king of true Music talent. The best front man a band will ever know. Sorely missed. God bless Freddie Mercury. I know he is comfortably in his place in heaven.

I remember back in 1992, I bought the CD for the upcoming Olympics, called "Barcelona Gold" and this was one of the featured tracks on it.
It's probably lost for good and I can't find it, but I always can save it on here and I just did! There will NEVER be another Freddie!
God bless ya, Freddie from your longtime fans in the U.S. and Canada for sure!
RIP, my good friend because we'll all meet one day again!

This was the ultimate dream of Freddie. Montserrat Caballe was his admiration. When he was once asked by the press what was according to him the most beautiful female voice, he said that it was that of Montserrat. No-one expected that. I am so glad that this beautiful dream came true before he died. They are really fantastic!

The best thing about music such as his, it doesn't matter what age you are. True beauty and grace never die. I'm only 19, but I was raised to this music.
And the people who truly care about his music get upset when people are closed minded. You don't have to like the person, but at least show respect to the hard work and dedication put behind the piece.

As I´m rehearshing Montserrat Caballé´ s part at the moment I can tell you it´s quite a difficult piece of work, Freddie demands more then second best from the singers.. :-)
