Great review man! I appreciate you putting out competitor keyboards so we get a good understanding of the market position of the keyboard you’re reviewing.
Great Video as always. Here is the thing. I think the main board is Called Keycool KC84 which has been running since 2014 days. and Yunzii or whatever it is is sort of reseller tag added into the mix. I got my units a few days back with BT 5.0 and Native mac support. Loving it so far. Interesting this is the software. Firstly i tried the one that I got from Kprepublic but per-key RGB didn't work. Then I tried the one given in your description and voila! Also the interesting part is, the software and PCB look pretty similar to that of RK84 , which is another budget offering. I also have recently come across their barebones kit variant in Tmall which I think could be an ideal tool for those looking to start their own budget custom build for the first time!
Dredgen bro! Love the editing of this video very much! I also got the Akko PBT keycaps and I agree they are quite good for the price point. For the ticking spacebar, suggest either balancing the wire or do holee Mod
I have a set of those caps. Other than a few issues with warping and some inconsistency in the legends they're fantastic (And I'm not sure how perfect you can expect a keycap set to be for 50 bucks) Also, AKKO's customer service seems to be really good... I emailed them about the shift key that I had issues with and they sent me a new one.
What keyboard do you use for primary gaming? I really like this keyboard but it sucks that we cant use custom coil cables with it. I did see the AK84 by yunzii and it has good placement for the cable but its not white. What are your thoughts on that?
JWKs are smoother though this has lesser travel which I really like. I still need to test it on a proper keyboard for sound but I actually like it vs JWK recolors because of the stem. Personal preference, smoothness is not that big of a factor for me.
Your videos are very helpful po for me as a beginner for this kind of things..I would like to ask, my work mainly involves in typing so which switches best fit for me po.. thank you
@@TheDredgenProject i also read in some comments that linear may require a lil force to activate the keys po so I assume is the brown tactile switches better po? And thank you so much for replying ❤️
I got mine for 25 USD. B) Did you know that they recently released FR4 plate options for this guy? If anyone is getting this, its a nice keyboard and stuffing abit of foam makes sound very nice. The north facing switches are a pain with Cherry Profile caps tho. :(
LOVE the new key caps, and the sound...perfection!

omg thank you so much for clarifying the kind of switches that can avoid interference!! its cool to have a local keeb channel, subscribed :)
Thanks!!

Another lason ideaaaaaaa aaahhh!! haha Anyways, always love watching your videos
Hahahahaha lason responsibly! :)
@@TheDredgenProject hahahah thankss Sir! Also I remembered what you said, I really enjoyed the build process more than the final product!
awesome video. keyboard seems to be a rebrand of the keycool KC84. the kprepublic XD84 pro also comes (or came when i bought it) with the same case.
Yup! It's a rebrand of an OEM keyboard. You can even see Keycool on the PCB.

Eyy thanks man! I am planning to experiment on that on my next builds to test it out! P.S. let me share your channel real quick to get that 1k!

Oh that is nice! most companies won't go through the trouble.
that looks sooo clean
what's your favourite keycap colour combo?
Thanks. I have to say I really like all white keyboards with black on white keycaps :)
glad I found this channel
Thanks :)
Loving the thock from the kingfishers
Quite good for the price!
It's honestly fairly good after mods, I wish these keyboards use cherry profile keycaps from the factory.
Would probably have interference so they stick to OEM.
@@TheDredgenProject oh yea that's fair
How is the kc84 compared to rk84

Thanks for the Collab!
I recommend to add a more separated look for the future products. It has a wider audience
@@zx6972 Thank you so much for your suggestion. We are working on it! Thank you💗

can u control the lights for individual keys with the software? for example
w key - blue
a key - green
s key - red
I think you should be but I am not 100 percent sure.
@@TheDredgenProject can u pls check 🥺
I want to know is there any hollowness?
There is a bit but it's fine!
What do you think about using SA profile keycaps on this board ?
It should be good. SA keycaps sound deep especially with plastic cases.
@@TheDredgenProject wouldn't IT be to high and uncomfortable ?
@@Pieteros21 I have Keycool KC84 with Domikey SA WoB. I use it with a wristrest and the height is ok.
Great videos, man! Any plans on doing an Aws84 Build? I saw it for sale on Shopee/Laz and I'm planning to use it for my first build. #lason
This might be a dumb question but, what is the difference between the "Keycool" "Yunzii" and "Epomaker" 84 keyboards?!? They look identical O.O
Some are just rebrands but Epomaker has multiple models that has small differences.
Are the kingfisher thockier than durock linears?
Hmmm I really don't compare switch sounds side to side but my best guess is that they should be thoccier. Not super super with that one though.
How do you find the kingfisher switches in terms of smoothness and sound? would you take that over a JWK switch?
JWKs are smoother though this has lesser travel which I really like. I still need to test it on a proper keyboard for sound but I actually like it vs JWK recolors because of the stem. Personal preference, smoothness is not that big of a factor for me.
@@TheDredgenProject good to know!
Where can I buy that mousead?
This was a limited groupbuy. You can try and search for Sushi Suitchi deskmat.
that desk mat is so nice, where do u get it?
Sushi Suitchi Deskmat. It just finished group buy though Zion Studios will have extras :)
Subed bro, very nice video

It really boils down to preference. Most of the community likes linear switches but tactiles are also good for typing.
