Hello Paul, very detailed washing machine explanation of equipment and functions and this guidance improved my understanding and other's skills too. I am wondering about level switch does control same , constant level or veritable level of each washing program, means, normal, heavy load etc. I have observed in machine level was same in all programs.
I bought a Samsung EcoBubble unit not long ago and I wish I watched this video before. Although is a slightly newer & fancier model, that poor quality spider worries me a lot. I just hope they've put a good one in my machine. Very well explained, video is top. L.E: Apparently things a bit more complicated related with that spider. There is both an economic reason and one related to how physic chemistry works. Basically, are two metals that are giving and taking each other ions, each part with own electrical charge will get or give these elements. So, they figured out that a stainless-steel drum is more expensive than a drum spider to replace so the part to sacrifice has been chosen: the spider made of magnesium-aluminum alloy which will _feed_ in time the drum maintaining it shine. Of course, there is this idea of composite materials to be used, but paired with high grade stainless steel or other metals will increase the cost of the unit quite a bit. Collected the info above from reddit, various technical forums and a study I found on Research Gate website.

I agree that it the aluminium spider isnt the best choice in terms of durability. But simply saying that it wouldnt cost more to make it out of stainless steel is simply said than done. My Samsung has already suffered the spider replacement twice !!!! The original one withstood 6 years. The replacement only lasted 4 !!! I have just replaced it and i know that in 4 years it will collapse as well. Shame on you SAMSUNG. But anyway; great video !!! PS. Does anyone have a clue how to extend the spider's lifespan ? I’ve heard about some strange attempts like resin coating or painting, Others claim it will only make things worse as the moisture will fill the potential cracks leading to faster corrosion ..... ant thoughts ?
Electrolysis is normally the main problem but also water hardness and the type of detergent are you using can also affect it but without knowing what type of water you have it’s hard for me to comment. I would also make sure the machine is well earthed
I have a problem with my Ecobubble washing machine, where is trips the house electrics about 10 seconds just after pressing start. any ideas? I looked at the loading door lock but looks as though that works ok. (Took the switch apart and watched the thermo strip move to the lock position, just as it gets there the power trips)

@@How-to-repair Thanks for the reply, But I swapped the whole front part of the washers, door and controller. The fault stayed on the same washer which tells me its not that. Think it may be a pump issue because its the only thing I haven't swapped out, other than the drum itself.
Thank you sooo much, you are *

First thing to check is the motor. If it's the old version with carbon brushes, then this could be the problem second do you want to check the heating element? I've got videos on all these on the channel
South Korean made machines weakest link is the spiders
