I have that and the original both on disc, personally preferred the original over the sequel NGL, recently uploaded a custom steam deck boot video I made with the opening video from the first game
Definitely has better focus on the "game" aspect, but for people looking for a more open-ended and slightly more realistic experience, I would check out Rolling Line.
"Rolling Line" does a much better job at the whole model railway thing.. plenty more functions and decoration options, you can make everything incredibly detailed. It's also cheaper and even has VR support.
“Grandpa dies and leaves you the basement” (but not the rest of the house?😂). Reminds me of my father’s friend who had an amazing train layout in his basement but moved out of the house later in life. He didn’t sell the house, instead renting it out. HOWEVER, the tenants weren’t allowed in the basement because he kept the layout there. Furthermore, written into the lease was that the tenants had to vacate the house every Friday night so he and his model train buddies could nerd out for the evening.
Probably Grandpa's will left the other part of the house to other members of the family, like your grandma, your father and mother, aunts and uncles, your brothers and sisters, and the dozens of cousins you could have.
Wow, this game is right up my alley 100%. I love cozy games where there isn't too much to think about and zero stress. Seems like a game I should get for myself, but the only thing I don't have is...time for another game!
Will not activate in South Africa, the only country in Africa where this is the case...Not Kenya, eSwatini, not Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Nigeria...Only South Africa is banned...strange..I wonder what?😢
It's £8.99 on cdkeys guys, I'm a veteran of Hornby virtual railway 1 and 2 and when I saw this game it brought a lot of those happy memories back, bought it this afternoon and will try it out soon, hopefully modding takes off for the game like farming Sims community, plus updates like collision being allowed on objects
I understand the concept this game was trying to do but why, as their trying to compete with a game that's 500 times better known as TrainZ, model railroad game that does everything better than any other game that has tried to come along and compete with them. For the people than think Trainz isn't a model railroading game then checkout the in-game controls of the game tell me different. This game just looks tiring to play given it's more about the set-up than actual railroading. Game should have been called "Railroad Layout builder" as that's what you're doing.
Sadly very lame how casual this is. Soo tired of these casual games that require no thought or effort. It mind as well be just a coloring book where you paint by numbers.
What you've shown here really feels like Pc Building simulator 1 & 2. But this one definately looks worse in every aspects except graphics. If you like the idea of building a pc, running tests and installing antivirus, Pc building simulator is a great game imo with tonnes of content
I used to play a computer game called hornby virtual railway 2 where you had premade layouts, but you can make trains

Feels like someone has tried to bring the old Hornby Railway designer software up to date, and failed somewhat

Love you dude, watching your videos don't know from how many years, watched all your euro truck videos!!
The first steam locomotive is without a doubt the one and only flying scotsman clearly in an older livery.
I was thinking when Paul was going to review/play this game
This is something Luke Towan would spend most of his days playing before doing another train diorama
Great video Paul! Cute game, good idea, but... not executed very well I'm afraid

Grandpa liked Polish trains
similar to a game called Rolling Line
How did that guy get his train set out squirrel? 😂
Too bad its not double as realistic.

@@Barbabonbon It’s not about building pcs though, so not really for the same crowd, lol
@@SegginsProductions i agree it's very different. Yet the similarities between the hobbies and the games are striking
Why not just build a pc lol
@@Terraceview well I like doing both
