@@DaBigBoo_ I actually have a feeling they aren't doing this in bad faith, I really hope sbi isn't involved because this seems like an actually interesting concept for once
There might be another twist, but Annapurna, if you have given us a cozy but earnest PTSD recovery game, then that is outstanding and I think the world needs it. (Obviously buying it either way, but! Amazing!)
Sold. All because of the trailer and because I read the last sentence of the Steam Page listed below. "Wanderstop is a game from the team at Ivy Road, including Davey Wreden (creator of The Stanley Parable and The Beginner’s Guide), Karla Zimonja (co-creator of Gone Home and Tacoma) and Daniel “C418” Rosenfeld (the music of Minecraft)." I loved Gone Home and Tacoma for their emotional narratives, I loved The Beginner's Guide and The Stanley Parable for changing how I think about video games, and I am definitely buying Wanderstop!
I dunno, Ashen was handled really poorly. It's suffered from server/connection issues since its release and they've never been addressed. Always assurances that they're "looking into it" but at the end of the day it just doesn't work for a lot of people.
@@El-Burrito Often times they mean if its also on switch or xbox or if its a PS5 exclusive. Sometimes they mean PC and/or other platforms. So yes its a "console exclusive" to PS5 but its also on PC.
I love the trope of "cozy happy wholesome turned dark and terrifying at the last possible second for lore purposes" so much, sad this is a PlayStation exclusive
Oh. My. Gosh! I love the way this looks is for PC only? Or do you guys have plans on making it accessible for other consoles going to try to play it either way but just curious. Also thank u for the hard work this looks incredible!
Let me try and predict this game which hopefully I dont I think the main character is some kind of hero or something that has been trapped in a false reality or mindscape by whatever the villain is The big happy chubby guy will be revealed to be the villain....idk I just get those vibes from the description and the wierd tone of that "ptsd/panic attack" thing I feel like that's just to throw you off and think this is still a normal game about normal problems before it hits you hard with a twist
I was thinking the same thing because of the last scene in this trailer. There's got to be some kind of dark twist! But whatever it is, how will that affect the game play??
This has got to be a false reality because of the last scene with the chubby guy. Not even him, but the fact that he "speaks" in text. With an interface. Without even a voice-over. While Alta speaks directly to herself and the player consequently. There's just no way Davey Wreden won't pull some kind of false narrative on us. That's his forte.
Well... Wreden has made another trailer, in which he explains that he poured some of his own burnout after creating the Stanley Parable and the Beginner's Guide into this game's narrative. And it wouldn't be much of an introspective game about the messy nature of healing (Wreden's own words!) if it had this sort of cartoonish false reality, would it?
Reading the comments, i knew something was coming but while watching- i became 100% sure there wasn't gonna be anything more, probably just gonna be a farm game with a combat system that's until the end part. This is gonna have a twist
@@MilkyWayGrumpI think she sees herself as a fighter, and is struggling to be normal and live a normal life. Like a fallen soldier wishing they were still on the battlefield.

@battledogs3970 I think people genuinely tuned out in any reference talking about her experience as a fighter and the fact she *might* be going through some trauma along the way.
Guess im not enough into indie stuff to get hyped about all these other things. Played stanley parable and felt like it was overwhelmingly "meh" so based on the comments i guess this wont be for me. Trailer didn't do anything at all to sell it to me.
Her: Im a fighter. Me: UUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Of course you are, strong female character of unknown mixed race. Pass due to sweet baby being involved.
Ironically, if someone is used to stress, that stress going away can actually be terrifying.
Seems relevant to this game.
Those last thirty seconds elevating this from a cute cozy game that I’m probably gonna bounce off of to something I’m gonna NEED to play.

C418 made the music to this masterpiece! Love that!
And not only music. He's participing in the development
That ending hooked me. I'm looking forward to trying this out.
Ye I was kinda just okay on it but it seem intriguing narratively
Making a prediction the main guy that runs the shop is actually an ex warlord or renowned warrior who is trying to help
Annapurna, Davey Wreden, and C418. this is a dream come true!

So..... I'm buying this game.
Stanley Parable and The Beginner's Guide are absolutely fantastic
I'm all in for this. And it's really pretty
Whoa that interior shot at 0:35 looks SOOO much like The Last Clockwinder
