That heart shape cookie is really loved by every Indian households and in West Bengal of India we call it butterfly cookie (usually coated in caramelized sugar)
Those corn tube things (idk what they're called) are my absolute fave japanese snack. Followed by the ramune powder bottles. I struggle with textures a lot, so I get sad that I can't enjoy most foreign snacks (like mochi)
@@japaneat or Safeway! And yes they are literally so bomb and addictive...you can get bigger ones with half of it dipped in dark chocolate, very very yummy! 😊
That one cookie that others refer to them as “Heart Shaped” or that is also called Butterfly cookie in India, Here in Mexico are also very very popular!! we usually have them in bigger sizes or these tiny ones, it depends!! they’re called Orejas!! they’re really good!!!
That Genji pie is called Orejitas (‘Little ears’ in Spanish) in Mexico, my family loves to buy them and have with coffee at night, i wonder if the Japanese version tastes different
Allergen safe 😂😂 Celiac disease and i MAY be able to eat some mochi and WHOLE rice crackers 😭 I have said if i ever went to Japan id take the last day and eat all the good staples like real ramen. Die on the plane.😅
the idea of the allergen info being in a booklet you get after buying the subscription seems weird to me? like you might be paying for something that you cant safely eat? 😰 shouldnt they ask your allergies when you sign up & put alternate snacks accordingly?

Using a creator based in Japan with a primary American audience to advertise Japanese snacks is truly S tier marketing

My mexican family calls those orejas (ears)
I've heard about them but never got to try one, can you tell me where you can get those?
We also have them in Germany but they are a very very large puff pastry coated in sugar and sometimes dipped in chocolate so we call them pigs ears.
In Puerto Rico we call them espejuelitos which means little glasses

The pipe crust thing you mentioned I'd found in India (West Bengal) .
Here it's coated with sugar and usually eaten with some tea 😊
Sounds fantastic!
They're pretty common in Hispanic stores too, called orejas (ears)
Looking it up, they're originally French and called Palmiers. Neat.
Sounds like you can find these just about anywhere. I've been living under a Japanese rock it seems.

Does any of this month’s box treats contain alcohol or animal gelatin ?
I don't know, but the Sakura co box has jelly in it, so maybe gelatin? But I don't think either have alcohol.
Genji pie aren't actually from Japan, they're from Europe.
That heart shape cookie is sold a lot in Mexican market, mostly ate during breakfast
