Unanswered was so fucking hard
Still is

Seriously, the fact that you guys live tracked it and it’s that clean still is amazing.
Yes that blew my mind when I found out
They probably drilled the hell out of it
Alex is 100% right! The Cleansing was and is the heaviest album!
That mayhem festival was by far the best metal show I ever been too. I was at the Toronto show.
I fucking loved the cleansing album. Still a staple in my library
The cleansing is still one of the heaviest and raw albums I’ve ever heard. No time to bleed will always be my personal favorite tho.
The cleansing is my favorite deathcore album of all time and I doubt that would ever change
Absolutely one of the heaviest. Something was really special about that album
If you released The Cleansing today it would still be a hit
One of my greatest memories of my entire metal “career” so to speak, is moshing to the cleansing album (alone in my backyard) On my MP3
At 5 AM right after getting off work at Wendy’s Night Shift and smoking a whole joint by myself. That was a personal tradition I had for about a year when I was 16. I don’t smoke weed anymore and I don’t really listen to too much metal but Suicide Silence has a special place in my heart and that’s a top memory of my teen years
One of my favorite albums of all time. Alex is right.
He's definitely right
Best of all time.
So amazing I love stuff like this!
The first time I understood suicide silence my waterpolo coach in high school decided he was tired of seeing me wearing exodus shirts and that I needed to like hardcore. He showed me the cleansing and my jaw dropped as soon as unanswered kicked in. A few weeks later he told me about a hatebreed concert and I went and never looked back. By the time I graduated I was moshing at underground slam and beat down shows
bludgeoned to death is it man
Heaviness in music is a very difficult thing to measure. It’s basically purely subjective. Everybody you ask will have a different answer. If you measure heaviness by pure, unfiltered raw anger, Iowa by Slipknot would be a respectable answer. If you measure heaviness by sonic, sound heaviness, maybe something like Tomb of the Mutilated by Cannibal Corpse would be more like it.
Either way, let’s all enjoy heavy music together, no matter what the band might be… heavy music is what brings us all together.
If you think Suicide Silence The Cleansing is heavy listen to they're first EP
Luckily, I was at one of those Rockstar Energy festivals, shown in the music video with the freestyle motocross show on the side, while Suicide Silence was playing. Sid from Slipknot was doing a DJ set by himself in a wheelchair (I think he had a broken leg or something).. there were so many good bands playing in one day, It was awesome.
The quintessential deathcore album.
Unanswered is one of the greatest heaviest masterpieces of todays music. The cleansing was the start of a whole new movement
Heaviest song that ever took me off guard was "worst and easiest way" by Nemertines
The album was amazing and Mitch's stage presence is still unmatched to this day
got the cleansing album art tattooed on my wrist forever 🫶🏻
The moment I heard the start of unanswered I can relate to what Alex said.
Agree, and honorable mention, BMTH Count Your Blessings was also insanely good. If you’re reading this and haven’t listened, please do. Pray for plagues was surreal during Covid 😂
yup the cleansing was that one pure deathhore album that converted many listeners to deathhore wave! for me I was mindfuck when I listened to Bludgeon to death. I was literally WTF and have been listening to deathhore ever since. Thanks Suicide Silence!
heaviest is deicide - deicide
J-Dawg's favorite band brah brah!
That's not even the heaviest Deicide album. Maybe the best though.
The Cleansing is still one of my all time favorite deathcore records. I’m not a big fan of modern deathcore at all, which is why I resonate with Alex when he said the song structure is simple and perfect. That record kicks ass front to back. The muddy sound from the distortion in the guitars, the can sounding snare, Mitch’s vocals…. This thing had it all in one. No record has gotten close to being this fucking heavy ever since. Not in the energy, pace, and simplicity SS did it.
Favorite song is for sure Girl of Glass. And Myke Terry did justice to it during the memorial show
The Cleansing came out when I started 8th grade and it was my personality lmao
Etalon is like the epitome? I think he meant like that.
Mortician and Regurgitate are heavier. But I still love Suicide Silence too
Doesn’t get heavier than mortician brah brah
@@StopTheDamnTape gotta love the Tish brah brah
Goated album
Nothing-Meshuggah
or Obzen-Meshuggah
nobody is heavy in the same way as Meshuggah
Garza have someone from Ulcerate on your podcast
Electric Wizard - Dopethrone. Anyone who's heard that album will know what I'm talking about.
Completely crushing
It's so subjective. I change my mind all the time. To me it is always an early grindcore or deathmetal album from the late 80's or early 90's though. Nothing is better or heavier to this day... In my opinion.
Signs of the swarm vital deprivation
How much I love Suicide Silience, Alex is blowing smoke op Garza's ass, there is plenty of Death Metal bands who made far more iconic and heavier albums than The Cleansing xD
Go listen to 'Nightmares Made Flesh' by Bloodbath or 'Malice' by Through the Eyes of the Dead, those are who heavier and in my opinion, more technical, than Suicide Silence ever will be, but I guess thats comparing 'real' death metal with 'death core' .
But Suicide Silence was definitely not the first band who 'brought it in your face' .
Ain’t this the guy who likes dogs
Смешно
Hardly the heaviest album of all time. Try primitive man-caustic.
not a lot of people know about that, so how could it be the heaviest?
@@salinaember9527what kind of logic is that? Since when is popularity a criteria for heaviness? If anything the inverse would normally occur
@@StopTheDamnTape because it needs to be recognized by the masses for it to qualify. or else any obscure crap can be the heaviest but who cares?
@@salinaember9527 fuck the masses
@@salinaember9527 even anthony fantano has reviewed the album I mentioned so it's not even that obscure anymore.
