Lol I think at that point he just felt so bad for how pathetic those two are (after Tummlers “”””bragging”””) and decided the least he could do would pay them what was already on the table.
Holy shit I'm from charleston. And there was deff a scandal at a local joint here and there was "mystery" meat in 5 gal buckets....place got closed for a few weeks. And idec. I know it ain't chicken on those sticks. That ish good tho
Tbh I’ve always been captivated by the fruit store anecdote, I always wanted to believe there was some deep meaning to it, but there probably isn’t any
I believe it’s irony. Tumler thinks he’s doing something witty but it actually just highlights his stupidity even more because 1. A grape doesn’t cost a dollar 2. He lost even more money in his attempt to be witty
It's a joke. Tummler is shown at another point telling jokes as well. What's great is he gets no response here at all. The joke is the guy overcharged him for apples so he sarcastically refused his dollar change and implied that the grapes must be a dollar apiece if he wants two dollars for an apple. Tummler seems to have secret aspirations of being a standup comic.
It just goes to show how stupid he is you can tell when the man says you want this by the cat or by the pound had he said cat he would of given 1 dollar a cat

Guy is holding the scale hopper to make it look like the cats weigh less than they do, so he can pay the kids less money. Good detail.
Yep. He’s exploiting druggies
When they confronted jared about the cats, he said he was using poison to kill them. So the Chinese dude had a heart attack from eating tainted cats.
@Petter After he mentions the glass, he mentions "sprinkling poison around the dumpsters". That's a pretty fun theory about the heart attack

He was selling the cat meat not eating it.
That isn't a accurate way to use a scale. Guy was ripping them off.

if he said he wanted it by the cat...he still would have handed him the same stack of money he was holding

one of the best lines....my other favorite is "I told him if he wanted, he should take up tap"
There's a local Chinese restaurant here in wheeling West Virginia and I caught the old lady that runes it catching cats in raccoon traps

I don’t get the fruit store thing
You aren't supposed to. It was just completely random and didn't match the conversation they were having
The gasoline or whatever drugs he took talking.
Tbh I’ve always been captivated by the fruit store anecdote, I always wanted to believe there was some deep meaning to it, but there probably isn’t any
Tummler is telling a joke he presumably heard somewhere. But he chose an awkward time to tell it and the audience didnt seem to get it.
sheesh....He told the guy to keep a dollar bc he stepped on a grape....meaning he thinks a grape is worth 2 or 3 dollars
Bullshit. A dollar a pound is way too much.
I dont get the story about the apple and grapes... someone please explain?
