seems like this one is the only one that you cannot download (yes, I'm a member) can you check? thanks!
you know what I really want to know about Cliff... his story BEFORE he joined Metallica because the guy was already a fully formed talent
There was a bass magazine special on Cliff where they interviewed a ton of people. Well worth looking up if you can find a copy. (I looked up the date, 2022, much later than I thought)
If I remember right, he played piano as a kid. It's why some early Metallica parts have some more complex harmony and what people say is "Bach influence." (I'm not learned enough in classical to say if that's accurate). I'm sure he played classical guitar at one point as well, but I may be misremembering.
The book "to live is to die" is really good if you would like to learn more about Cliff
It’s so sick hearing the actual track so clear, i bet it’s exciting tabbing out something you’ve tabbed in the past by ear ! I can see the little differences and it makes me excited to see more cliff tracks Re-Tabbed. I recall in one video you mentioned Metal Militia as a lost or buried track. I wonder if you could pull the stems out now with whatever new program you’re using to get these sick isolations. Keep up the work we will always appreciate you, Frrrriiend \m/
I really appreciate that! Yeah, now I’m gonna handle the tracks we didn’t have isolated bass for. There’s not too many actually, and we already did Ktulu (kinda), To live, Horsemen, and now Leper. Stuff’s really exciting and what’s even more exciting that you friends share this geeky excitement! Cheers
I can’t believe u transcribed the bass joe cliff played it was so hard to hear what he playing also at bar 19 to bar 22 I was shocked I always thought cliff hammed on a string to the b string but a pull off to the c and b in the a string 🔥🔥🔥😮
Thanks a lot!
really looking forward to Damage Inc. In a video you said you heard a low grumbling note in the bridge so I wonder what the seperation will turn up. Hopefully not too many artifacts, because i once tried seperating the tracks for a song and the software thought the bass was playing low Bb, B and Db's because the guitars were doing inverted 5ths. So the software might fall for the same auditory illusions as humans with this kind of stuff.
Damage was the toughest to isolate. Gonna work on it more, because at this point there’s not much of new things discovered
@Yeahuy do you still use Moises, or something a bit more advanced?
@@TheBigShow999 Right now it's Moises. But I'm looking for advanced alternatives too.
I've heard that RipX is a good alternative. @@Yeahuy
@pjg86 I always thought Cliff was doing a full E power chord with the two octaves using the Morley in that section. But if there’s something else there, I’m suuuper excited for that too!
FUCK YES BRUH
Me with no instrumental abilities: "tries to play this with my own fingers".
Cliff sounds good, nice job!
This bass line is not for beginners :) Thanks!
@@Yeahuy I mean't to say i was using my fingers pretending to be a bass, but i forgot xD
