I don’t know how I’ve never seen this. I played in a band that opened for these guys right around when They Threw Us in a Trench ... came out, 2001-2? In a basement in NJ. The progression this band has made has been incredible. They’re easily one of the most inventive musicians of the past 20 years.I don’t think this video accurately shows how tall Angus Andrews actually is in person. Dude has to be around 6’4” , and it’s crazy to think that he’s the dude the YYY’s song “Maps” is about, after he split with Karen O and moved to Berlin. Incredible band. Wish I’d have seen them when they transitioned into synths/effects. Still awesome as a traditional punk type band..
Boyzone is the best track off the album! Thrilled to see it begin this video

I like the keyboard player's jumper. It's far better than the one my brother wears whenever he calls in to ask me if he can borrow money -- and it's definitely better than a jumper from the roof, which is never a good thing. The last bit especially. :0/

FFS what happened to Liars? A couple of albums ago they were the best band on the planet, but now... THIS piss-poor dreck.
Maybe you'll like the next album.
I don’t know if you came around, but give Mess another chance. It took a while and several listens to click, but it eventually did for me and it’s probably in my top 3 of their albums. Drum’s Not Dead > Mess > Sisterworld, for me. It paints with a very different sonic palette, but it’s still deeply, undeniably, LIARS. Some amazing tracks on there. Perpetual Village is jaw dropping. Dress Walker, Boyzone, Darkslide, honestly I came to love every track. They sound a lot better on record than this performance. Give it another shot!
