You are so right , ive been trying to exsplain this error on the drummer boy quarters, nobody believed me, thanks couch you da man!😊
I would look at the edge of the coin. The edge will show you two different metals. Silver also tarnishes black.
Never saw a drummer boy
What error on the drummer boy ?
WHAT IS ITS WEIGHT?????
Is it different than Clad??
Right, Scott!
Can you tell by the weight? Is it different?
Yes and likely by the rim
@@idotheyeet9498 id like to know about the rim. That is something i just heard today
I have same coin
@blcscott7897
I think the rim would probably be a half copper appearing.
How do you know what the material is? What is the coin made from/the metal? (Like what do you look for specifically to identify from others? ?
Cool. My guts says that there are far more transitionary yr coins(nickles, dimes, quarters etc), on silver or wrong planchets than people or the mint thinks. Same goes for copper & pennies. It's one of the best things about coining, and idk about this one so thank you for the valuable data
Like how you explained the coin manufacturing process thats easy to understand.
I have a 1977 quarter coin liberty IN God we trust
Looks like its seen quite some circulation wear also, wow, and improperly cleaned, ouch...
I was born in 1977 today. I found in my change 1977 quarters.
And one of home is weird looking because we're the says 1977. And And God we trust is copper plated.
And that is the only part it shows that is copper looking
I can make all kinds of mistakes but I can not find a mint mistake! 😢😂
I have this same coin and it weigh..5.6 grams
I.have.1977,1988.coin
Hear
I’m still trying to figure out what is this quarter please look at the front and back
Good year
People what are those marks behind homies eye. I've got 2 different year quarters one on front one on back.
I have 2 of them
When I first started coin collecting I started with wheats then merk dimes then quarters point of the story is I found a west point quarter and sold it for 35 dollars and everyone was calling me a lier so when I found more I kept them till I had a few well needless to say the person who called me out came over and I showed him I sold all ten I had at the time for 200 dollars to a collector
My youngest son was born on 1977 .. 👉🏼 this is GOOD🍀 LUCK for him.. thank you dear friend 👏👏👏👏👏
I have 1989 same coin
How can you tell if it’s been made off of a silver plant it is used it’s been in circulation and not the greatest condition is it still valuable then??
I have it 1977 quarter, and it has triple D mint mark. Its 40 % silver and 60% copper.

I have that
No you don’t lol
Hi
I have a 40% and a 90% when my husband was with a band he got it at the caboose in mpls mn still have them
I think I have one of these. I stored it away more than 20 years ago because it look different from other quarters. Gonna have to look for it now.
What' mintmarks?
Why do you always make it a point to leave the weight difference from your videos and ignore comments? OK so the 1965 Quarter that is 90% silver weighs 6.25 grams the non silver quarter weighs 5.67 grams
you mean 1964. 1965 made with silver do exist, but are errors and are very rare.
For real seems like an important bit of info to leave out
Boa tarde tenho uma Quater dolar de 1977 1982 e 1965D que eu gostaria de fazer negocio
Yl 😂wooooooow,I lost it for a moment

A silver 1977 quarter? Or just a plain clad 1977 quarter?
@@wisconsincrhunter5614 all l know is the whole quarter is all silver even around the edges
@@wisconsincrhunter5614 l can only tell you that it's all silver around the edges and the whole Quarter is all silver
@@debrafisher6005nice 😊
"clad" so its still gonna have the copper/no silver center? And your saying there are silver clad bicentenials out there?
Interesting.
Can you buy 1978 liberty
Is the ridge, or edge smooth or rigid and no brown color at all. My 1988 dates are different than others but one is green stained. I didn't want to try cleaning, should i?

I just got a 1976 silver quarter no mint mark as change at a store. I plan on sending it to pcgs
What is pcg
No mint mark is Philadelphia mint
If I have one.
Who do I check with what is pcg? Thanks
That coin there probably was in circulation for decades before people even thought of them as rare.
I have one in my book collection with my quarters
But,,,the silver quarters were all struck in San Fransisco......How did a silver blank end up in Denver?
I believe my uncle collection has 3 of these 😮..🤔💭
Now I just collect for my grandson
It weighs 5.7 grams
Is there a 1968 no mint mark aluminum quarter?
And it has a double dip on both sides no mint it also a off center and I’m pretty shure it’s silver and I may also have a zebra Morgan dollar that I would like to get rid of

I have a 1970 Washington quarter with all the errors can you guide me in the right direction to sell? The quarter also is thin and it has a half copper back I don't know what that is?
Cool
If it's that rare wouldn't it be worth more?
What montmar
Its fun bro.. i have the same quarter sitting right here on my desk in front of me. What are the odds of that.. strange days 😮
A 1977 silver quarter
?
@@idotheyeet9498❤
@@idotheyeet9498 I have a 1978 silver quarter. With the initial D in pristine condition yet on the edges it has a bronze colour.
@@bouchmakaveli5325 then it is just copper
How do you identify it???
The cural up of hair on down is a silver. Its planted
Uhh what@@mollielambert9501
What do you recommend for cleaning, copper and silver?
I just found 2 quarters the face side is facing right with different hair style, is that normal?
Are all 1977 quarters silver then??
I have a 1922 silver dollar what is it worth?
i have a 1977 silver quarter dollar but it dont have a mark at the bottom right side of his plait end like yrs does. how much would mine be worth i have a silver 1968 but its got the makers mark they both shine beautiful n they both have the eagle on the backs i just cant work out why my 1977 dont have the mark n the other ones i have do.there been packed away properly since the day they come out thanks for yr great explantions it b great if you can find out how much they are worth please if you can please.
I've been trying to figure out how to identity silver planchet others! How does a very novist person make the identity. I'm really interest, please if you could elaborate on what to look for. Wish I'd started earlier in life. Better late than never. I really live your videos. Thank you
It is true I have it
Sooooo?, there's no copper visible on the side?
I have a 1965, 1974 & 1978 liberty quarter. Can you buy?
Nice 😊😊😊😊
What if you have a 55 quarter that's silver?
1 queen for me foam Afghanistan 1967
I have the 1977 and it weighs 5.48
Weight is 4.9, and I'll share pics if n e 2 wants
It would be very interesting to see the history of these mule coins and improper planches. I really believe they are being done on purpose and then taken from the mint by the people who did it..... Because they know that people will pay obscene sums of money for things that truly have no value whatsoever other than face
I have 2 1977 quarters how do you tell if its a good one?
I have 1977. 84 and 85 quarter dollor.
Silver clad doesn’t make any sense would it be struck on a pure silver planchette anything after 65 unless it’s the pure silver error as well would be silver clad
How much for a 1943 Quarter?
Would the rim resemble silver quarters as well?
My nickel? Rim is smooth
I. Have. Two. Of. Them
I have $300 in quarters, i know what im doing this weekend
How can I tell if my 77 quarter is worth money or if it’s silver
Cause it really dull
How can I tell if my 1977 Quarter is worth money? Please elaborate.
I have this quarter, how do I go about selling it? What do I need to do?
How much does it weigh??
I have same but was made in 1989 , how much is it worth?
How about the 1978😊?
Could you please advice us where we can sell our coins?!!
They all look silver on the front and back?
I have a silver 64 quarter.
How did the silver/clad planchet get to the Denver mint????? Denver did not produce any silver
Bi-Centennial coins/sets. Was that coin then struck at San Francisco, because they had the silver/clad planchets for the Mint & Proof sets?
That’s what makes me think this is standard mint employee mischief. Likely someone high ranking that traveled between the mints and had access to all areas inside them.
Philly made the silver ones.
@@mkl13 No they didn’t
Nice
How can you tell if you have one of these? Thank you very much
4 grand wow ❤ amazing i wish i knew too weigh them ❤❤
Hi my father in law has got this coin and more coins
Question I have a few rare errors that aren't certified. How do I get them sold? Cause no known coin shop deals with errors unless it is a 3 leg, 55 or 69
I have a rare 1957 silver quarter.
