Amazing content! And great with calm music to it. Still haven't ridden a wave out there, only tried and got wrecked by racetrack, and ended up left of the cave. Low tide so easy to walk around. Not the easiest to get pass the break and into the line up.
I was about to comment this, my trip was more trial an error since I knew very little about Uluwatu and Bali, but this information is gold and 100% accurate. My biggest regret was going cheap on the surfboard, Purchase an used one and broke right the most epic day of the swell, took me 2 days to get a replacement and missed the best waves :( another regret is not been careful at town, I was walking at night at kuta and some guys stole my phone on my last day (lost 50% of the pictures there)
Thanks for the video! When do you think an intermediate surfer can attemp to surf in Uluwattu? I have surfed in Balangan and Dreamland and i wonder if i can give it a go. Thanks!
Thanks very much. The two waves are quite similar, but I think it's easier to get barreled at the bombie, and outside corner can sometimes go a bit fat after the initial drop.
how do i avoid getting into th bombi section or the outside corner becasuse thats my fear taht i will be sweapt out. like if i would surf from, the temple into the bombi.

I like the mention of the ‘famous cave’. I wrote down the side of a picture in my photo album in 1978 ‘inside the famous cave’.
You were lucky to enjoy Uluwatu back then without all the development. Must have been pristine.
early 80s was my local break for 6 years I will never return to the zoo its become
3 week surf trip in Bali starts tomorrow. Thanks. Sick vid!
Thanks, and have fun!
Feb 2020 wet season - probably the only time me & my kids will ever be able to surf Ulus ( chest high). fantastic experience for us! Miss it much!
It was actually chest high the other day. Smallest it's been in a long time! Thanks for watching the guide 👍

Thanks for watching, and hope this guide helps you get a wave out there soon! 👍
try again on a smaller day not at low tide I got denied and cut up the first time I went out too

lovely video made, well done. Just a question, is there much difference between outside corner and the bommie?
Thanks very much. The two waves are quite similar, but I think it's easier to get barreled at the bombie, and outside corner can sometimes go a bit fat after the initial drop.
great, it would be great to have the same for every surf spot in bali
Thanks, we're actually making another one right now and more will follow!
Well-made video !
Thanks again, guys!

Lo máximo surfear las olas del mar
Bali bagus!
🤙🤙
Notice it don't say what the swell size of bombie is and the other one
On a huge day I missed the cave and had to go all the way to Padang by myself. Terrifying
The sweep heading North is unreal on big days! We forgot to put down that paddling to Thomas Beach/Padang is also an option.
Very good movie :)
Thanks 👍👍
wow .. remember the days when there was just one cliff top warung .. like a fkn shopping mall now
My Dream Place!!!

💯❤️ 🇮🇩
🤙🤙🤙
Always left always right on.

Lefts are the best in uluwatu
..if we can come back one day, then...
Fucking nailed it brah
1980s was paradise a few small thatched warungs serving 1 dollar jaffles now its a packed zoo full of hipsters better places abound
Tips&Tricks #1 - can’t believe people hobble in over the reef with such regularity
Easy mate don’t wear boots! You will get used to quite quickly
keen for the surf, not so much for the aggro.
Sweet! Thanks
Great wave but now infested with clueless kooks who dont know their limits or any understtanding of the rules when surfing.
