I live waaaay out in the country, so I have to drive a bit to get a decent facial anyway. I’m gonna drive a little bit more to come see Amber for my next facial!
Ok, I loved every minute of the interaction between you both! I was listening so intently I felt like I was watching a tennis match…I found myself looking at Mandy then Amber…then Mandy…!! Awesome information! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What a perfect video. It was so informative. The two of you have helped me with my skin care routine. I was happy to hear that using the Epionce was the right moisturizer for me to use. The Lip Renewal is very good for me as well. I love your videos!!!
My problem is persistent flaking, especially since starting tretinoin (0.05%). I’m wondering if a drop in percentage (0.025%) would be better for my skin…
@@ambermeier1540 thanks for the tips! Unfortunately, I’ve been using my tretinoin for a year and a half lol! So I’m not really sure what to do about the flaking anymore, but I try to use it at least 3 nights/week (acne control).
@@ManUntdForever try switching to a retinol instead. It's buffered with emollients and moisturizers to keep the flaking from occurring. PCA has a great one for acne. It's called Intensive Clarity Treatment. It is a 0.5 pure retinol.
Have you looked into a retinaldhyde? I have started using the Medik8 one since I had to wait a bit in between my curology shipments. It's stronger than a retinol, but it doesn't cause the flaking like a retin a. Also, the cloud oil that I mention in this video is a LIFESAVER for flaky skin. :)
@@MandyDavisMUA do you have any other retinaldihyde serum recommendations? My skin is super flaky and sensitive and retin A is pretty irritating. I can handle daily use of retinal but would love a slightly stronger ingredient :)
Yes..I just recommend definitely using a mist with it and making sure you 100% follow up with a moisturizer so it has something to pull the moisture from.
Thank you for a great video! I use Curology 1% for my retinol. I know you said you do not use it on the two nights you use an exfoliator, but do you use it all the other nights? Also, my skin was damaged by someone who used too strong of a glycolic peel on me. What do you recommend to fix this damage?
You are so welcome Carol! Yes, I use it the other five nights that I don't use my exfoliator. Amber may have some other suggestions, but I recommend barrier repair products to really help reestablish that barrier. My favorites are the Osmosis Rescue Serum and Barrier Repair Cream from Neogenesis.
I love Cicalfate from Avene to help repair the barrier. It's my go to!!!! It's zinc and copper. Yes, use it on the other nights if your skin can tolerate it.
@@carolivy8592 I can ship it to you with the Koji pads if you'd like. I carry Cicalfate in my studio. All my clients have it in their cabinets at home. lol
This was so great ladies! Thank you! Mandy, you got me on the Fitglow Cloud Oil and it has helped me so much. It took me a bit to find the right wintertime routine. I have very mature, very dry skin and live in the Denver area which is so dry. I use a humidifier at night and wouldn't be caught dead awake without sunscreen (thank you Mandy). I have an area on my cheekbones that has a bumpy texture and it did not dawn on me that it is screaming at me to knock off any type of exfoliation in that area. I'm going to watch this again.
Yes! I would try to cut down on the exfoliation and see if that helps the texture. It's crazy how it can show up on some so differently than others. So so glad you love the cloud oil as well. It's such an amazing product!
Two perfect faces of skin WOW 😍😍
Awww, thank you Angelina!
This was great! 💗
You two look so similar! So pretty!
Thank you! We have gotten stopped while together since college to ask if we are sisters. :)
Great tip/reminder on exfoliating. I go for my hydro facial this Thursday.

Make sure you're slowly starting out using it. Try it only 1-3 nights a week for a couple of weeks then increase it.

Can you do a video of products that are a little more affordable?
Hey Sarah! Sanitas is a great affordable brand that makes amazing products. You can use my code at Freeze Co. Beauty as well and get an extra 20% off.
Is it OK to use hylauronic acid even though it’s cold and dry? I thought it could have the opposite effect in those conditions.
Hyalauronic helps increase the skin's moisture and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.

Hello my dear mua happy and beautiful cell of my heart i love you
Besides Fitglow, what other oils would you recommend for the face?
My other favorites are the Farmacy Honey Grail oil and the Chantecaille Rose oil. :)
Is there a face steamer to recommend? Or do you even recommend using one? Hopefully easy to clean…. Ty
I will let Amber chime in as well, but I don't use a face steamer, so I don't know that I will be a huge help. So sorry!
I recommend using a humidifier. No need to steam. The canopy Humidifier is great!
How do I find a good esthetician? I am in the Huntsville, AL area?
Ask friends for a good reference or your injector if you have one. Social media is a great place to look.
or if you have a dermatologist they may have one on staff..that is how I found mine
