  • This project took a long time to get started and get wrapped up. Honestly, I had been avoiding it because I knew it would be tough.
I had planned to install edging at the back of this flower bed to prevent washouts. I found a pre-rusted metal edging that fit the bill.
After a few hiccups, I got that in and then weeded and added my amendments. I was able to add in some Honorine Joubert anemones and some double coded butter pecan coneflower.
I also had some All Gold Hakonechloa grass put in under my pear tree for a pop of chartreuse to brighten up that shadier area.
Lastly, I was able to plant my Alnwick Rose. I’m not sure if that’s where it will stay, but I was happy to get it out of its plastic bag!

Ooooo.... that rust should help with slugs and snails, right? Looks great!
