These are a great race brand... I've been using the SB401R on carpet for the last two seasons, you'd swear it was on rails! Then recently I've finally caved in for letting it get dirty outdoors at a race event - it didnt disappoint! What a machine.. really solid RC. I also have the 2WD stadium truck, the 2WD S1 V3 Evo, and only last night I ordered the S1 RM as a birthday treat for myself 😎 Crackin' video as always, thanks for helping to bring PR to the masses, a very underrated brand.
I've been running PR RACING S1V3R EVO and SB401-R SPORT here in America for 4 years now these cars are great and easy to maintain. I race on hard packed dirt/clay at both of my local tracks so I run the center differential in my SB401-R with 500k oil in it. Great video I'm looking forward to seeing you race more this year with it.
I love that you gave this car the chance it deserves. I have this car and was so impressed with how it ran straight out of the box. Ran the whole season with it last year, and managed 6th in the Australian nationals against scores of said "big brand" racers. Great videos mate keep it up
Really diggin on the 2 camera set up!!! Not really a shelf queen guy myself but love your channel!! I know this car isn’t a shelf queen but you know what I’m saying. 👍
These cars are great . You could contact Julian Hardy in New Zealand he is the PR guy and knows the brand plus he's the NZ supplier . He has made a lot of upgrades for all the PR range.
I love mine although it’s the older one. Only thing I didn’t like was the exposed gear in the middle. But. No problem I made a cover and printed it off. No worries about the wires catching now. Body is awesome. Need to update mine. 👍🏻
Nice drive sir. As expected, it is a user friendly car. Watching you drive [especially on the straights] you are no longer a "noob", with an insane motor/esc combo on a first run, wow. I remember when I first drove mine [13.5T motor], everything was toned down.
Side note, where can I get a pair of aerials for a used tamiya frog? Love the paint job, you've given me some confidence to try someore complex paint jobs.
Pr racing using to have a big Uk off road team but in recent years this has fallen away once the original distributor changed hands etc. however in my experience it’s quite a well developed product for racing and has everything a racer would need. Just needs a new UK team to help push ahead with setups and development again.
Great body and very nice driving. Try the tyres 1st and then the rest... I would say tyres are 90% (maybe more...) of the setup 😉 The Corsatec motor and ESC were up to the task 😮🤪🚀
It’s a friendly club and we all just have a laugh. Sure the really fast guys in the A final take it a bit more seriously but it’s still focused on fun more than a time sheet.
Great build! My son and I just started racing in June of last year. I just built my first Schumacher L1R a few months ago and absolutely love it. How would you compare this to any of the top names in rc?
Quality Video Gav.....nice car and speedo combination. They are definitely worth considering and dealing with Modeltune is always a pleasure to deal with. Also interesting to see over time how much your driving skill has improved. Not sure about the Titanium screws tbh is hey will actually save and weight ....but that could be a subject for another video. Thanks mate !
You have two types available. 4mm and 5mm, I use the 4mm as you can also use adapters to run 5mm lipo connectors so it gives you more flexibility if you fit 4mm
Its a grease made by Team Associated that's normally used to help lubricate the O Rings and to prevent damage on the shock shafts. People also use it to help seal the diffs by coating the gasket material.
I really really really want you to finish up the Porsche 959 conversions, pleeeeeaaaese👍, If I’m correct you started 2 different ones. Thanks in advance 😄
car looks prity dialed if its not for a little touch of to fast on the straight and the technical sections, tune down the esc a bit to calm the car down and that will improve the handling in the tighter sections where lot of time is waisted on over shooting corners spining out and crash.

Any setup tips for a small carpet track?
I think you turned this into a little piece of art. Beautiful car!
Really diggin on the 2 camera set up!!! Not really a shelf queen guy myself but love your channel!! I know this car isn’t a shelf queen but you know what I’m saying. 👍
Really nice (and a surprise) to see Modeltune in a video, known Andy for 20+ yrs
😊

Man, the paint job with those stickers looks sick. Great job!
That buggy looks fantastic, and goes really well too! You seem to have got a really good setup for you, nice one!!
Thanks 👍 More to come as I just purchased the electronics so next will be some upgrades
Motor and esc look epic on track

👍👍👍👍 even 4 thumbs up Gavin
GREAT BUILD GAVIN and that body looks insane, FANTASTIC
Fabulous paint Job 👍
Great vid.. Speedplays rule 😊 Pete

Good driving man
Nice racing with some solid racing and love the paint scheme.
Thanks 👍
Great vid Gav and your drivings coming along well
I got one of these second hand a couple of years ago, i think they are a nice solid car. Paint job on yours is excellent well done!
Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome paint job💪
Thanks 👍
You're driving got way better.
Hi Gav, brilliant video as always. Could you point us in the direction for those stencils, just what I'm after 👍
You can get them off eBay :)
Side note, where can I get a pair of aerials for a used tamiya frog? Love the paint job, you've given me some confidence to try someore complex paint jobs.
nice job on the paint on the body, been wanting to learn how to do that
beautiful buggy
I forget if you have mentioned comparing this to the LC Racing LC10B5.
YES, please do this

Yep I would say getting the cars in the spotlight is the biggest challenge in the UK for sure
Car was a missile! Be well up the field once you’ve got it dialled in!
Great body and very nice driving. Try the tyres 1st and then the rest... I would say tyres are 90% (maybe more...) of the setup 😉 The Corsatec motor and ESC were up to the task 😮🤪🚀
Yep the ESC and motor are perfect for this.
Some of the most gracious driving by that man. That is what makes a good club. Appears you UK cats have it more figured out than the yanks. -U10

It’s the same as my B6.4 was. If the box said Team Associated or Schumacher, you wouldn’t know.
Good race for sure. You did the car proud being it's your first drive. Are these cars best suited for carpet or can they rip just as well on dirt?

I was surprised how much you can save across a full buggy. I’ll do some comparisons before and after
Very nice Gavin
Your a great driver car looks awesome runs great tooooooooo!!!!!
corsatec electronics is it a new product or a rebranded hobbywing?
Nope, scratch built independent company.
what bullet connectors are these
You have two types available. 4mm and 5mm, I use the 4mm as you can also use adapters to run 5mm lipo connectors so it gives you more flexibility if you fit 4mm
Great driving Gav
What is the 'green slime'?
Team Associated FT Green Slime Shock Lube. Used on the internal shock seal parts for smoother action.
Its a grease made by Team Associated that's normally used to help lubricate the O Rings and to prevent damage on the shock shafts. People also use it to help seal the diffs by coating the gasket material.
Just a question, is there or will there be in the future Sworkz buggy's on the show?
At some point I would guess as I like to get new brands on the show
Damn it was fast on the straihjt 😊😊😊
Yep punch and breaks are wicked
I really really really want you to finish up the Porsche 959 conversions, pleeeeeaaaese👍, If I’m correct you started 2 different ones. Thanks in advance 😄
Finished the vintage one years ago, the chassis swap on was done and working but the body needed painting.

I was the mint green car in the race. Need more practice and Could do better 😢
👍🏻👍🏻
