I found your channel because I was searching UA-cam for Krond guides, and UA-cam just kinda sputtered and said "man I dunno but here's a dude who's made a tier list of the first two seats and these thumbnails look really good". And now, on this day, you yourself have given me what I was looking for all that time ago, and included an excellent mathematical breakdown on how gear and feats interact with buffs. I finally feel complete. I can now ascend to a higher plane.

I seem to be getting lost/sidetracked with Patron variants/perks, Favor runs for Blessings, Tiamat, Time Gates and Events. Some topics that would help me are Legendary Item and Blacksmithing Contract Tier lists and a Gem Guide (Familiars, Gold/Silver Chests and when to switch) , but generally just what you recommend to focus on while collecting time gate pieces and unlocking champions.
Besides up-voting this, wanted to comment as well to hopefully bring even more attention to @tyredack -- YES PLZ to the above! I love these videos, and I also would echo basically everything the post said/suggested. Would love to see a "tips and tricks" type video as well, all kinds of easter eggs in the game, like watching the credits for an achievement as an example. Thanks again for the awesome videos Tyre!

I'm struggling to find a good champion combo for each one. For example, I'm using all short folk for Vajra and the whole Black Dice Society group for Strahd, but Mirt and Zariel are a mess. Glad to hear you enjoy the videos! The problem with something like that is it varies wildly from person to person based on their unlocked roster and who they are choosing to focus as a DPS. I might be able to figure something out eventually, but it might be a little while.
Could you consider doing a beginner guide? Like what are the things you think newbies should be working on, what are the important stuff newbies should focus on working towards to?
The first video I did on Idle Champions is an Overview of the game as a whole, and while it wasn't necessarily designed as a beginner's guide, I do cover most of the base mechanic in the game step by step if you want to check that out.
Ive kept Krull as my go-to for an evil formation (especially if I have Arkhan for my tank), I havent really used Krond much because I cant seem to get a purple for him no matter how often Ive picked him for a time gate. Im not sure why I havent had much luck with that. Ill give him a shot after seeing your video. Maybe a nice combo with Warduke would be ideal after seeing these stack multipliers. That sucks you're getting a string of bad luck man. He is definitely a good one! But unfortunately, doesn't pair well with Warduke, as neither of them can support one or the other.

That was awesome and clear as day while still leaving room for the imagination. I've had enough time to fool around with Warduke, now, and I'll have to stick with my Asharra team and my Lucius team for awhile (and they'll be good for background parties)... It's decided. I'm going for the Krond! ^^ Honestly I think the game lacks one or two Good DPS, besides Zorbu. Most of the good to great DPS seem to be Evil or Neutral, except for Zorbu, but he's a massive investment (aka grind) in and of himself... I'd love to have 1 solid option for each alignment (well on the Good/Evil axis, not on every possible combination ^^). But as it stands, I found myself with only Neutrals as viable options now, and only Evil as future upgrades. Anyways, after Warduke this couldn't have come at a better time to remind me why Krond is Krond. And Krond is what I need now! ^^ Thanks again, man. Please keep up the great work.
Appreciate it! It's true Evil are currently the kings of the top DPS bracket, though I admit I'm always a fan of the Evil motif. Another potential "Good" option is Farideh. She doesn't have the best scaling out there no doubt, but she's fun and has some amazing availability between her own attributes and the fact her daddy Mehen can drag her along with his as well.

Could it be your support toons are geared way higher compared to mine? Just comparing your numbers on your Krond, mine are higher (1711% vs 513% , 486.4% vs 542.2%, 1025% vs 388.3%, 1327% vs 570.9%, and 385.2% vs 366.3%) but yet a much lower BUD. My DPS at full level is 1.99e285+4.71e285 vs your 1.03e342+3.76e342. How can it be that large of a difference? I am running both survival feats. Please help! haha I am running magic core.
It's very likely the supports and their ilvl, but also legendary gear plays a big role. In this video my Catti-brie, Blooshi, Torogar, Briv, and Nova are all ~1k ilvl (Briv at 4-5k) with leggos all ranging from 4-8. And if your core is fully optimized or not. I only realized after I edited that I was actually using my Fast Core too lol.

what level is your blooshy spurt gear etc ? i only get to e322 with that formation, with other champs to support krond i get to e340+ are yours just that much higher ? with legendary equip? ir it the bugfix, that fixed legendary to not count the effect twice ?
Yeah, it will always vary wildly from person to person based on their own item level investments. My Blooshi is up there with Legendaries but my Spurt isn't that high and has no Legendairies (at the time). Depends on who you were replacing them with in your formation and how much you've invested in those people, what your formation looks like, etc. One note, though, is that Desmond fully comes online when all 3 of the dead are in their pseudo dead state. Voronika always counts, but Spurt needs his ultimate activated and Blooshi needs to be slapped up a bit before she "dies," and that counts for a LOT of his damage when all three are in their dead state. So make sure you test it out in that scenario as well.
3,200 is Krond's base increase from his Survival of the Fittest with no gear. it's what it starts at. He starts naturally higher than other Champions in the game there. Edit: I'd also like to mention this vid is a bit old and there are plenty more Champions that work with Krond now, so keep that in mind!
That was the case when he first came out. They touched up on him... hmm, early 2019? Where they equalized all of the Cantrip damage between Eldritch Strike and the gear slot for all Cantrips and it just came down to the unique mechanic between Stun, AoE, or Multi-hit.
Artemis is considered the best DPS in the game. Krond is considered the second best by many. People will always have different opinion, but that is what most people think.
I focused heavily on krond instead of artie and love him. I just love the idea of an eldritch knight. Desmond and the deadites have a really great utility with him and warduke, it's a shame that voronika and spurt have poor legendary utility for krond. I tend to not use briv only because I normally gem farm with krond in the background. His weakest trial restriction his wisdom, at least for me. Losing blooshi and aila
Evil Half-Orc Eldritch Knight is about as good as it gets. If his availability was a tiny bit better, he would have been my focus 100%. Aila? She has the same Wisdom as Krond.
It counts everyone who is either Evil or a Strength of 16 or higher including Krond. If you're at 9 that means you're either running the first campaign (A Grand Tour of the Sword Coast) which is the only one where you can only slot 9 Champions - or one of your slotted Champions doesn't meet that requirement.
Do you have Catti-brie equipped with her +1 Strength Feat? She requires that to count. I'm assuming you're not talking about Avren/Nova/Valentine as that was the whole point is you start losing those who count but gain power through them instead.
Xaryxis. It is the last campaign you unlock and it's notable because there is an 11th slot that is always taken up by an escort. So even in Free Plays Desmond gets an extra +1 to his Lament there.
That's hard to say definitively because everyone gets a different Attribute restriction. Find the best buffers you have that still qualify for his Survival of the Fittest as best you can.
