  • Air Chathams operates the Auckland-Paraparaumu Service, using the largest commercial plane currently operating routes to Paraparaumu - the Saab 340! In this video we watch the plane land, and then depart again later.
    Whilst the Saab 340 is currently the largest plane flying here regularly on commercial flights, it is still smaller than the Dash-8s that Air New Zealand used when they were operating this service.

    Love the video showing a small airport. I was on Holidays in New Zealand a few years back and really enjoyed flying from Wellington to Blenheim

    Hi Alex. I have flown on Air New Zealand's Saab 340s 3 times between CHC and Palmerston North. Comfortable and sturdy aircraft seating configuration from left to right 1 seat aisle then 2 seats.
