Ha, no kidding. Still stings a bit to think about all this equipment and infrastructure just collecting dust. But hey, we're all stuck in this alternate hellscape together...so... Cheers!
I spoke to u in part 2 of this series, great advice and learning from u sir…so I pulled the trigger on line 6 hx rack to go with my Mesa boogie 2x100 stereo rectified power amp ..super stoked and thanks
Dunno how I missed this comment. Thanks Tom! Yeah, when I was buying everything I was in the mode of - "what's another $2k, CLICK." ...of course, the timing of this video series is hilarious when you line it up with Covid. Remember when we all had plans? lol.
I run a Bias Rack as well! I just use it as a power amp for my HX stomp. Just ordered a Line 6 G90. Ready to rock That's weird about the faulty Bias Rack. I like having it because it's powered and makes for a good backup.
hey chad, just wondering, ive been playing for about a year and a half and have been progressing very well, so im wondering if i should get a line6 wireless to possibly use if i buy an orange super crush 100 and start gigging regularly.
I highly recommend the modern Line6 wireless systems and I couldn't imagine gigging without one. Even in a small venue it's helpful to not be tied down. The Orange Super Crushes are amazing, by the way. Good luck!
halo.. which you prefer, the line6 g90 or shure GLXD ? Which one for best sound? And how about their sound quality on stage? these both make me confused.
I've been using Line 6 wireless units in various live situations for years and I've never had a range or frequency issue I couldn't fix. Wish I could comment on the Shure, but I haven't used it in outside of just playing around with it.
Thousands of touring bands can attest to the strength of rack ears. They work. As far as impact and vibration, that's where a shockmount case comes in.
Hey, Chad. I'm using a Fractal AX8 with a Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170. I was using a full rack midi loop switching setup with a tube amp and got tired of lugging all that gear around to rehearsals and shows. I decided to slim stuff down and couldn't be happier. I had thought about getting another small rack set up as you have right now, but I wanted to have everything on one pedalboard. Now I just need to hook up two cables. I'm thinking of getting a Line 6 HX Stomp to use with the new Powerstage 200 for some fly gigs coming up. Did you end up getting one of those HX Stomps yet?
That's a killer setup Vito. Definitely keeps down the load-in/out fatigue. I'm holding off on the Stomp until I start gigging again (prob early summer). Good call on one of + Powerstage for fly gigs. Hilariously compact and you can get the same tones as the big rigs. Anyway, good luck on those shows man. Let me know how they go!
You should have gotten a 10 space on wheels and then you would have purchased a drawer to put the pedal in and enough space for the Crown XLS 2500 power amp or MATRIX 1000 1U space.
Thanks for making the video on your setup. A little constructive critique on your editing. The transitions when switching to camera make zero sense. The camera you have setup showing your back is pointless. You instead could have placed that as a top down to showcase the product. That way you could go into detail.
What's your current rig? Let's talk gear!
Chad Edward - Songwriter/Audio Producer yes
Him: "I don't plan on gigging for four months." Me: *looks at date video was posted* "Little did he know.."

Wow I just thought exactly the same thing as he said it and looked at the post date. Mental ay
@@Mrpsblobsoflowendmung I just thought: this was filmed while pandemic! 😂😂
Rack is back baby ! Rack is back ! I've got a helix rack based rig - its epic.

The pedal is worth every penny because it’s the pedal!
The first thing that comes to mind watching this video is: "add to cart --> checkout!". Great video and a fantastic set of gear!

Hey! Thanks for such a great video and explanation! Which exact fan you were using for cooling?

The GLX half rack units comes with the the full rack ears and you can route the antennas to the front of the rack. It all comes with the unit.
Make sure you get a pouch for the Line 6 body pack. The battery doors are utter trash.

When is the Part 2 coming Chad? I'm so eager to watch the assembly of your rig.
Somehow completely missed your comment. Sorry. It's out now!
/ when?

How to you intal the Helix without it shaking around? Those 4 little screws seem pretty weak when considering this is going to be on the road.

Agreed. I'm kicking myself for not doing something like that. I wanted compact, but this is really pushing it. I'll probably swap out soon.
fish eye camera?
I thought you weren't a fan of Line6 ;)
Yeah well, they've come a long way since the Spider. 😆 miss your dumb face!

mofos come up with the dumbest excuses to buy a whole new rig
I fail to see the problem here
Took you nearly 5 minutes to open a box, more work less chatter...
Those gator cases are 💩
