    I’m a retired female who has never camped once. I found your channel on the home page of UA-cam. I started watching after I retired. I found your channel to be very educational. I may never need to use the information you share. However, I was brought up to believe that it’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Thank you for your service! And thank you for sharing/teaching what you have learned.

      63 is still young. I'm 61 and have been shot, stabbed and blown up my body is held together with pins, rods, super glue and bailing twine. I still make it a point to go into the Rockies in all 4 seasons just me and 1st Sgt JD, my dog, and create a camp while cutting my firewood and during hunting season. Don't let a few extra summer's slow down the enjoyment of living.

    Outstanding video Corporal Kelly. My advice is to keep the whiskers. I've had some kind of beard since I was a teenager and I'm going on 72 years old. I do trim it from time to time, mostly to keep it out of my mouth. I have also shaved it a few times and ALWAYS regretted it the next day. Plus, it keeps me warm in the winter and adds to my wise old bastard look year 'round. Keep your chin up Corporal Kelly, don't let the whiners get you down...

      I had no idea these existed! I’ve seen and slept in Bothies and know about those, but I’ve never heard of crannogs? Is there any ‘modern’ made (just like the old ones) that are still around? Plannin a road trip up the highlands in a couple weeks and that’s defo something to look out for ( love from the olde toon)

    You're the man. I appreciate your commitment to providing your knowledge and insight on such a regular basis. I don't participate in comment sections, but felt inclined to let you know that you are appreciated as much, or more than you appreciate us. I literally watch zero tv and spitefully do not take part in social media, but I catch myself watching UA-cam only for some Corporal's Corner that I stumbled on a couple of years ago when I finally did choose to actively pursue becoming more inclined during COVID. Again, thank you for being thorough, concise, and informative......as well as being a genuine dude and being cool AF.

    I have to say corporal's level of creativity with bushcraft is admirable. I dont follow literally any other channel that has this creativity and walks you through the assessment of the problem and its solutions. Impressive individual. Plus I have learned 10 times the amount of knots I knew before thanks to him. Amazing content

      You don't need to buy land. Pick any National Forest and take these basic idea's and grow on them to fit the environment you're in. No need to dismantle the structure you build as wildlife will also make good use of them when you're done. However, if you set snares or other entrapments to catch game, ensure you remove them. If you dig a hole in the open for anything fill it. Leave no trace behind at all, nothing, not even a candy wrapper. Don't kill anything you won't eat and learn to source your food entirely from your environment. We are living in turbulent times and the skills the Corporal and other's on UA-cam are sharing could not only save libes but enrich lives.

    • @Firmglint91
      @Firmglint91 3 роки тому +1

      @@DaveJohnsonad5nm on public and national forest lands it’s perfectly fine to do this stuff, but always leave no trace, dismantle so others can’t do something dumb and also as the shelter deteriorates it can become a hazard for animals too, so always leave no trace
