I think the 50 series may work well with SUVs but not so much on classics. I have 50 series on my 65 Ranchero and still had drone at 2000 rpm. I solved it with a pair of J pipes. Had to do research on UA-cam but well worth it. Nice sound and no more drone.
The 3.6 seems to resonate (drone) sound in the cab around 2k rpm on the highway. Pulling long hills at that rpm gets annoying if you let it. Other rpm’s don’t bother it as much. I posted a turbo tube cab noise and while it was pretty quiet at low rpm there was the one frequency that likes to get your ears.
The effect you were hearing with the Thrush is called droning. I have to admit that the Flowmaster doesn't sound that much better than my stock Colorado.
AKA "resonating". Did you remove your resonator? if not, it wont sound much different. The poster of this vid did, but it wasn't mentioned in above in his video. I only know because he responded to the question here in the comments below.
This is not a direct fit muffler. There are different tube sizes and inlet and outlet configurations. This model is 3in center in and out and fitup by the muffler shop.
rudedogii thanks! Is it real loud outside of the truck when accelerating? Im looking for something that doesn’t sound overly aggressive on the exterior noise. I love the way it sounds inside
I like to know what the engine is doing when in 4WD-Low. Very hard to tell when you can't hear the engine. Also a performance muffler should give you a bit more power.
You title says Super 50, but in your vid you mention "Delta" those are two different models? I assume from your link you used the Super 50 and not the Delta 50??? www.autoanything.com/resources/flowmaster-muffler-comparison-guide/
@@rudedogii Same happened to me, so I went on here directly in my settings and made sure my notifications were turned on (it was off ?). Still don't get e-mails but l do see notifications here.

Great stuff.. just what I needed to know .. I I’ll be headed to Valley muffler this week thanks
Very nice! Good job rudedogii!
I like it !
Do you think you seen an improvement in horsepower or throttle after the 50 series muffler install ?

@@Asphaltsquadron yeah I’m convinced the colorado resonators don’t make a huge difference.
might as well put that thrush muffler on the blue bronco. they sound good on a v8...
I saved it for something.
Hey! Didn't realize you were a local guy. I've been to Valley Muffler before.
I've taken all my trucks to valley muffler.
where did you get that Superado Decal? its awesome
Custom made, send me your address and I'll send you some. rudedogii@msn.com
Sounds nice . Did you remove the resonator
yes
@@rudedogii A very important note that should have been mentioned in the vid hahahaha!
Are you running a catless exhaust?
Not in California.
Does this drone bad at highways speeds? I’m thinking about this setup
It's got a low humm but gets loud when you put the pedal down.
do you know if this would fit a 2016 LT make?

rudedogii thank you for the helpful information 🙏🏻
Do you have a link to this particular muffler?

@@thecoachesbooth Sorry but I really couldn't say. Sounds good from the drivers seat!
Man on a v6 should of put a OBX muffler you can’t even hear the Flowmaster sound
I tried a Flowmaster DBX on my 4.0 Tacoma. Not impressed. ua-cam.com/video/9rkvPi1nPVM/v-deo.html
Will this fit a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado WT edition? Crew cab. V6 3.6 liter
Should be the same.
pretty impressive. Does the Colorado have a 3" exhaust stock?
I think its 2.5" .
My 17 ZR 3.6 is 3" in and 2.5" out. The Super 50 is about 25-30 lbs lighter than stock.
2.75
@@johnnytactical3054 Yes you are correct!
As far as the muffler goes on a Colorado why not just leave it stock?

Really??? Why add custom wheels, or window tint??? Its just a personal preference.

All Flowmaster cambered mufflers use Delta shaped baffles. Some more some less. Yes I used the Super 50.
@@rudedogii Thanks for the reply.....a year later LOL.
@@Asphaltsquadron I use to get email notificans from UA-cam on comments before but that stopped sometime ago. Why? I don't know.

Nice. It makes that 3.6 sound as mean as it is mean. Most V6 mufflers sound like sh_t.
The flowmaster is also made in in China. I tought its made in USA
My box says Made in USA.
What kinda job do you have? You always have money to do all these things, and your always home. I'm gonna need a job there
Semi-retired until the money runs out. Got to sell them Broncos!
Now the Flowmasters are made in china too
no matter what , the v6 sounds like shyt.
buy a ford
Sounds great!
