What source of data do you use for these rankings? We have noticed in our current location that it is very hard to correlate official data sources with our own measurements, raising questions about the accuracy/reliability of that data.

Good question Richard. The data source we used along with the analysis can be found at the bottom of the article here: smartairfilters.com/en/blog/25-most-polluted-cities-world-2022-rankings/ The data comes from aqicn.org (collated from various government and public sources). It's true that there will be some data bias (as Paddy explains in the video), and there's also the possibility of micro variance within a city/region, so this list shouldn't be taken as gospel, but is a useful indication of which cities and regions face the most air pollution.
