i really like this kind of tour guide, talking about her relationships with the ghosts and treating them with respect and imagining how they feel and trying to actually talk to them like people. I wish all paranormal explorers were like her and had such good intentions and wanting to help the ghosts and just be nice

The disembodied voice they caught during that EVP session was crazy. This place is nuts, probably the most active and the most unsettling place Sam and Colby have investigated.
I have been binge watching your videos at 1:00 AM ever since I saw the conjuring series lol can’t believe I’ve never seen their videos before that. it’s never that scary to me because Sam and Colby bring me peace. That's what I was thinking. What if those spirits wanted Sam to leave because they were scared/disliked Sally.
Theory: Sam still has a demon following him around and even though they thought it was sallie it is actually a demonic entity disguising itself. The “friendly” spirits wanted them to leave because Sam had brought that into the building and they didn’t like it. This explains why they wanted sam to leave specifically at the end.

I have great-grandparents who died here. Our family has always had dementia run in it and back then people didn’t understand and they were just tossed in asylums. My grandmother told me that her grandma had the prettiest deep red hair that she had never cut. She always kept it in a bun on her head but when she let it down, it cascaded in ringlets almost to the ground. When she was admitted into Trans-Allegheny, they shaved her bald. My grandma cried talking about it.

i hope I’m not the only one who caught this but if you go to 30:02 Colby asked if lily wasn’t human and got no response, as soon as Colby said “it might not know” it immediately said yes. Right after it said yes, they assumed it didn’t like the question which it then repeated no 3 times, as if it was telling them that they were wrong and it was actually saying yes to not knowing if it’s human

100%, “Lily” was genuinely TERRIFYING every other spirit there. Not a doubt in my mind. They were running from whatever IT actually is.
It would make sense bc “lily” has probably be following them for awhile so the spirits in here have never seen something so powerful, especially one that can lie, change forms and may be a demon. Possible why on the higher floors the spirits wanted them to leave so then “lily” would also leave

I live an hour or so away from this, way back when, when my dad was an officer he and other officers would have to escort them to the asylum, kinda interesting to hear about!! I went when i was in my mid-teens to go visit for a tour & it was truly so amazing the things you learn, hear, and see.

The "Stabbing Bathroom" scene reminded me not of the ghosts saying to leave out of respect of privacy in the building, but actually capturing the crime of stabbing the victim. The female gasp could be a nurse who found the body, the male breath the victim panting and gasping for breath as he crawls for help. "Put it down" could be the victim telling their assailant to "put the weapon down"/stop it
They might've caught the crime happening and the ghosts basically telling them not to snitch and leave before/during the crime :0

I live like 45 minutes away from trans Allegheny and when I went I didn’t find any thing life changing, but the whole time I felt a constant pressure on my chest. The only room that I didn’t feel like that in was lilys room, Lilly’s room made me feel happy and feel good.

I do think their hollering and cursing can put off some old-time ghosts. The guides are very casual and calm and don’t react in fear. I’m noticing that when Sam & Colby keep their cool they tend to get more interesting responses. That being said, I’d totally be freaking out so I don’t blame them, and I still enjoy this content so much.

Another example of this is with Ryan and Shane. I feel they almost always come up with less evidence than Sam and Colby because they literally only cuss and yell lol. I feel cussing only works to trigger more mean spirits.
@@stgeorge5862 S+R are very much quieter (although do swear a lot) than S+C though and I fully believe any evidence they do get because of it’s minimality. Whereas with S+C their evidence is typically non-stop and very very specific meaning I question their proof often but they do provide a spooky and more entertaining watch in general.

so im randomly watching sam and colby's older videos while waiting for the next episode of their one week stay at the conjuring, and i cant help but think that maybe its sam's grandma telling them to leave when they are in places that have really bad energies? cos i noticed its always so consistent in making them leave in the places where darker energies or entities exist? she could be looking out for him when she's not enough to keep him and colby and whoever they are with safe.
OR the spirits are particularly afraid of sam because he has a demon (sally) attached to him. I think the spirits feel intimidated and scared, thats why they asked sam to leave specifically.

watching back these videos and I realized this is one of the first videos I could ACTUALLY hear almost all the bangs, thuds, and evp’s!
I live in West Virginia (Beckley to be exact), about 4 hours away from Weston (where this is located) and I have been here twice! The first time I did a midnight ghost tour with my friends and the second time was a daytime tour of the whole place which was fascinating. During the midnight tour, I felt extremely heavy and just full of dread the entire time that we were on the floor with the more violent patients. I’ve never experienced anything like that before. I felt so anxious and upset but as soon as I left the steps and onto another floor, I felt lighter.
It’s truly a fascinating place to explore and it’s huge! I really enjoyed it whenever I went those two times and I’m trying to convince my husband to drive up there with me so I can explore it again and take him for the first time.
I like the fact that Michelle immediately when she was scared jumped and grabbed colby's arm it just shows that colby can be a very sweet safe place for everyone

As someone who has done a ghost tour here, I can say for sure it's truly terrifying. I had a terrible time in the best of way. Extreme heart rate jumps in Lily's room, in the hallway of the 4th floor, and the room I don't remember the name of, but where the hanging torture occured.
I'm glad yall went though, as a West Virginia native, I am so glad when others visit

They didn’t tell the worst part about Dean’s murder. First the two men hanged him with a bedsheet repeatedly. When he would black out they’d drop him down, wait until he woke up, and then would do it all over again. When they got bored with that is when they finally laid the bed on his temple and jumped. I can’t imagine how scared he must’ve been. No one deserves to be treated that way. When I first heard his story I cried.

THEORY: I think the reason why all the spirits were telling them to leave is because on the first floor, where they invited “Lily” (or whatever disguises itself as Lily) to follow them for the entire investigation, and it said it didn’t mind. So it did, and when it followed the team to the other spirits, they could see what Lily truly was, not what Lily was manifesting itself to be to the eyes of the living. And maybe what Lily truly is is something so bad (something demonic?) that it scared the spirits. So they told the team to leave, hoping Lily would follow.

Does anyone notice that at 15:00, the time when Sam sees who he think is Michelle in one of the corridors but when he checks it out there is no one there, he didn't think about a doppelganger?
Earlier, they talked about doppelgangers (at 7:44), but supprisely, no one thought that what Sam saw there was a doppelganger of Michelle who disappeared when Sam saw it.

The recording thing was terrifying to me, cause I wasn't looking at the screen, heard the lily response, thought that was on the recording and not out loud like that, when everyone was questioning if people heard it and kept repeating the recording and it wasn't on there, literal chills. Glad it got on camera because that's amazing.

when they said lily it sounded like a deep male kind of voice. He could be like with the thuds he could be like: oh i want you to get the fuck out. Yes!!! Agreed, as I know my friend and I both wouldn't miss any, she still somehow, find older of the abandoned places. I would absolutely love this on here, Netflix or anywhere we could, just glad they take some time for themselves, helping them be okay through all they do. It is really cool to see Sam and Colby go to a place that I would go to from my birthday parties and my brother would sell Boy Scout popcorn in front of the haunted house, when we were kids. I believe my parents are still friends with the owners but I haven't been here in like 10 years. The late time I saw this place of before the renovations started and and they had just started do the haunted house.
I loved frank and Larry, they made a flashlight float at the end of the ward and when I turned on the light it was just sitting on the floor!

I’ve been in the same room and for two nights would hear this knocking circle from my friends feet to mine whilst we were all awake (I was the only one to hear it), and than when I left they could hear it, except it didn’t stop where my bed was.
And apparently, the room opposite us that was unoccupied (it was like an apartment), the girls underneath could hear the beds moving every night.
