It's so hard to find a honest 60 diesel. I went through a nightmare after a nightmare and know what you're going through. It is so hot for me to trust anybody with my truck.
Up to you but I have bought and a couple people I know has bought new engine from Asheville engine they are on top you can build it the way u want and will be shipped to your shop 100% recommended

@@JUSTINHAWKSMITH I floated in your same boat. Used a local “diesel mechanic “ and my truck came back shambles. Found those guys and they fixed it up and never had a issue again and it’s been 3 years
I"m surprised someone hasn't went after Main Street Auto & Diesel with criminal charges. There is Poor Mechanic work sometimes with places, and there is also Straight up Fraud.
Apparently these trucks just don’t perform as well or like being 6spd very much. After everyone I talked to. & the exciting thought of driving a Manual just faded away especially after adding up the expenses.
Just not my thing after the research I done. & not to mention too many things needed for the swap than what I wanted to fool with. Bet your truck is sweet !
Yeah I’d rather just have an extra 8k-10k in the bank and fool with it myself whenever I’m not working to be honest. I don’t really need the truck it’s just for my UA-cam channel I have other vehicles.
@JUSTINHAWKSMITH true. I ran into the same kinda issues. Shady mechanics saying they know what they are doing and then me having to turn around and put a new engine in it after all. I'm out 20k over the course or 4 years. Now I need a new hpop and that whole deal ,then I hop I'll be done. Might sell it.
@deanwilliams8463 first two times. I was driving an 18 wheeler , this time. I run my own lawncare, and landscaping company. Well it's about 20k total for everything I've put on the truck and for the the truck. I figured it beats paying close a lot more. Maybe in a year or two I'll be able to afford one of those nice pretty trucks and I can run this one for a second setup.

My turbo drain tube had a small leak because of minuscule cut/crack in the o ring, might be worth a look
Yeah I’m thinking it is a HPOP cover , oil cooler , turbo drain tube. To be honest ! But won’t know till I put some UV dye in the oil and diagnose.
