Please do not take offence at my comment. I appreciate you doing a video and taking the time and effort to make it.
Rinsing off a car before snow foaming it, is a bit of a backwards step imo.
It can leave water spots if it starts to dry before you get the foam on, especially if you're in a hard water area, and if it's still wet, it dilutes the snow foam and makes it less effective at doing what it's supposed to do ie settle on the dirt and eat it's way into the grime.
Citrus degreaser on first if you need to remove heavy grime, then snow foam.
I have always done the wheels first with an iron remover and wheel detergent, then when I snow foam the dry car, I cover the wheels too, so I am removing any tiny remaining layer of grime.
By putting foam on before you do the wheels, the foam is almost dried on the paint before you have time to finish the wheels especially on a hot day. I noticed this in your video, and allowing foam to dry on the car is not a good idea.
No need to foam twice, waste of time.
Foam once, rinse off, and there should be nothing on the paintwork to cause swirls or scratches when you do the contact wash, using a shampoo (not foam), shampoo is designed to be a contact wash not foam.
Using a leaf blower to dry the car, oh dear. These suck dust in and blow it all over the paint ! This is why proper car dryers are designed differently, with proper filters to not suck up dust and transfer it onto the paint.
If you are going to 'demonstrate' how to clean a car, why are you cleaning an already clean car ? At least clean a dirty car to show how good your methods are !!!
Awesome job
Thank you I appreciate you 👊🏽
Those Flat Out pads are my favorite!! And now they have the XL ones!!!
Thanks for commenting 👊🏽
Whoa I didnt know that !
Have you tried the XL ?
Where do you get them?
Idea for a UA-cam vid: What chemicals to use on every type of rim like Aluminum, chrome, etc.
Hey thank for dropping that idea I appreciate it 👊🏽
I like superior products dark fury for bug off and wheel and tire cleaner 4:1, superior products Cherry foam in my mjjc, I want to try p&s pearl next time, for glass and detail spray I use onr 32:1, chemical guys vrp for interior dressing and tires/trim
Nice you got a solid line up bro ! I used p&s peal but for some reason I just go back to a cherry soap. How is the dark fury ?
@@m3finishit’s good, so far does well on wheels tires engine bays and rocker panels as well as bugs. They say 1:4 but I use 1:10 now and still does good unless it’s really bad. I’ve been wanting to try pearl or gsf. Cherry foam is good for the money buy i fee like there’s some higher lubricity soaps just a little more expensive.
Use a waterless wash in those door jambs, especially in northern climates, or where you drive in a lot of rain.
Yes I 100% agree with you
I use onr 10:1 for the door jams 👊🏽
Great tips
How long does the shine supply punch it last for ?
The punch it can last for 1-2 months of protection
I was wondering if you had any tips or insight on your process of booking/retaining clients. 1st year of detailing on the side if that makes a difference.
Hey sorry for the delay my notifications were turned off for some odd reason my apologies, yes after every detail or wash ask them would you like to schedule you next appointment. If they hesitate then offer your weekly or bi weekly clients $5-$10 off if they hop on the maintenance program. Shoot me a dm @m3finish if you need more help
What did you use for bug remover and the wheels?
An all purpose cleaner
Hey thanks for commenting I used solution from shine supply 👊🏽
try the ego power blowers get it done super wuick and you dont have to have a cable
Hey thanks for dropping a comment I just bought one rn 💪🏽 let’s see what the hype is about
So you go straight to spraying a dry car? Thoughts on foam, rinse foam method?
Pre-foam (foam on dry) is to remove any contaminants and dirt from the surface prior to rinsing. The foam (depending on the strength of the alkaline/ph) will help break down a lot of that dirt. Then rinse it off and then foam again and proceed to the contact Wash (with mitt) this is just to reduce the chance of picking up dirt and contamination on the contact Wash and creating more swirls and scratches. I would however not let it dwell that long in direct sunlight, especially with black. Few minutes tops on the Prefoam.
I would spray your pre rinse first dry
Then rinse then I would follow up with 2 oz in foam with water in the foam cannon then do a contact wash 💧
Curious how many flat out pads you have as business? I usually do 2 microfiber cloths at 365 gsm per car. I have 8 sides per towel. Do you have like 40 flat outs lol or just reuse them over and over through out the week?
Hey thanks for dropping a comment
I have 4 flat outs I use. When done washing a car I rub them against the grit guard then ring them out. When it’s time to wash another car just fill the bucket up with water and 2 oz of soap and repeat the process. At the end of the day I wash them in the washer with rags to riches soap as well 👊🏽
I mean that’s probably ok if you’re washing cars like this one. lol but washing others with actual dirt and grime… I don’t know. Like I said I have 2 towels per car 3 if necessary and I have about 30 towels for this. So it’s more than enough for a week then a wash then with rags to riches.
What pressure washer are you using ?
Hey how is it going ?
I’m using a Honda gx200 with a AR pump
Can I get a link for the wash pads
Autofiber has them
