I've stopped using any perfect fit sleeves for my more valuable cards. I have notice that they do damage the corners of my Pokémon cards. It rarely happens but prefect fit sleeves sometimes scrap the corners as you insert them and leave a small whitening. Good bye PSA 10, hello PSA 9. I would guess I've sleeved about 1000 cards with perfect fit sleeves and have notice it damaging my cards about 5 times. So it's rare, but I'm no longer risking it.
Dragon Shield's Sealable Sleeves are the objectively best choice. The sleeves get sealed so no dirt and dust gets in, which means that there's no need to double sleeve. And even if you do double sleeve, there's no longer any change of dust and dirt getting inside the inner sleeve, as it's completely sealed. Also, since you don't need to double sleeve, there is less plastic blurring the artwork while the cards are in a binder. All in all, the absolutely best choice.
@@r3ganomicz815 Yeah this was my question as well as i've pretty much switched to the dragon shield sealables for my binders and hit cards. Bulk/play sets just get the penny sleeve treatment until i use them in a game in which case they get swapped to dragon shield sealables for double sleeving in dragon shield double mattes. But yeah for grading i was wondering if they were and acceptable sleeve to use or if they're too perfect fit and they might not want to struggle removing the card over at PSA, BGC, or CGC.
People that are complaining about perfect fits don’t know how to use them. I get that the sleeves do do damage to corners sometimes but I also realized there is a way to insert them and take them out. The way he took the card out and put it in was the wrooooooooooooong way. You can tell he doesn’t have experience with them. To me they are the best sleeves to use.
From what I've seen, those thicker hazy looking sleeves near the end might be made of PVC (not good). They also tend to have rough outer edges, like if you had a stack of cards sleeved in your hand they'd feel like sand paper edges.
I have been using kmc to keep my priced cards. The beauty of perfect fit (soft & hard) is to double sleeve which protect the card 360. (See back of kmc packaging) Eg using kmc perfect fit bottomloading, then toploading with standard sized sleeve for added protection. Hard perfect sleeve is my preference to keep trainer FA as it provide better rigidity and semi laminate protection. Both are priced the same, but with rigidity come the thickness. As for pokemon sleeve from etb, they are just decent protection. They are much more catered towards playing hence the matte finish. but pale in comparison to dragonshield, ultrapro matte, and katana sleeve.
i prefer kmc bc its perfect fit and it may be hard to take the card but whos constantly taking and putting there cards back in a sleeve that alone is damaging
KMC is still the best IMO, maybe because I mainly used them for double sleeves for building decks but the best sleeves are prob those from ETB got tons of them from Shining fates 😂
My same experience with KMC - not wide enough even for gaming cards. Dragon shield inner sleeves fit perfectly however. Their clear deck protector is just as good quality too, I use both on any gaming cards.
you should try dragon shield clear. based on your preference on the allowance. and i think for KMC perfect fit, u shld use 2 finger to push. (top left and top right using index finger)
If you did that, I would put the tightest sleeve on the card upside down, into the ultra pro and then into the top loader. That way you have the card completely sealed off to keep dirt out
Which sleeves are the most rigid ones ? I need rigid ones because I have the normal ultra pro sleeves and then a toploader but my cards keep on curving
Thx for the review! I've got a bunch of Titan Shields which are ok.. but now im opting for the Ultra Pros for valuable cards and the the Titans for the rest.
surprised you didn't check out dragon shield. I'm an online only player and currently looking to get into the physical game and I pretty much hear its them or KMC's
not to be rude brother, but with any hobby there are always elitist's that needs to have the most expensive because its the best.. that is far from the truth. spend the extra cash on cards not on expensive sleeves. you just heard if from this man that ultra pro does everything you need and its affordable.. it just doesnt make sense to spend more. i get 1k of vaultx soft sleeves from amazon for 15 bucks. and the sleeves are awesome. i aint paying 7 dollars for 100 sleeves lol ill go through that in 10 min.
Are you taking the cards in and out and in and out of the sleeves or what? Im gonna use KMC perfect then maybe double sleeve with ultra Pros. Ive heard theres a double sleeve just barely like 1mm wider for the perfect sleave and then store for quite a while in the premium dex binder .
why do content creators forget about etb sleeves they are awesome o personally like the fit on the ultra pro sleeves that comes with the pokemon starter kit
He didn't forget, he talks about them right at 0:33 . Were you reading comments or otherwise distracted within a minute of loading the video? Maybe you're just randomly bringing up that other content creators forgot about ETB sleeves. Which if that's the case, never mind.

I always felt that KMC is for double sleeving a card, thats why its perfect fit
To be honest, as long as it protects my card, it’s a good sleeve

I have Dragon Shield's sealable sleeves and they are awesome. I'm wondering if it would be an appropriate option to use to send in for grading?

Unfortunately sealed sleeve sometime do damage on your card. If your album is full and heavy, it might leave a press mark on your card.
I love KMC's perfect fit, great for putting into magnetic covers too!

like what MJ mentioned, you should use two fingers(index) to push downwards.
Which is the most translucent to bring out the cards’ holo foil?

Just started this video and I’ll admit, I already trust this man’s review! Thank you

(posting for future reference for myself lol)
ultra pro : price 3/5, quality 5/5, look 5/5
kmc: price 3/5, quality 4/5, look 5/5
aegis: price 3/5, quality 5/5, look 4/5
beckerbgs: price 2.5/5, quality 4.5/5, look 4/5
nobrand: price 4/5, quality 2/5, look 3/5
Well you posted to help me too!

Dragon shield?
are the ultra pro sleeves good for using with ultra pro toploaders?
is 3 x 4 normal size for pokemon cards
you should try dragon shield clear. based on your preference on the allowance.
and i think for KMC perfect fit, u shld use 2 finger to push. (top left and top right using index finger)
Does anybody know if the Aegis sleeve is thin enough to be used as first layer and then fitted into the ultra pro sleeve for double protection?
If you did that, I would put the tightest sleeve on the card upside down, into the ultra pro and then into the top loader. That way you have the card completely sealed off to keep dirt out
It's three years later but: with how snug the aegis is, I feel like it should fit easily.
Which sleeves are the most rigid ones ? I need rigid ones because I have the normal ultra pro sleeves and then a toploader but my cards keep on curving
Whatever sleeves you can afford is the best sleeves, anything is better than unprotected cards
Thx for the review! I've got a bunch of Titan Shields which are ok.. but now im opting for the Ultra Pros for valuable cards and the the Titans for the rest.
BCW kinda feels like the king, Ultra Pro a little too wide for me. No hate though! Own preference

he should do a review of the best microphones
Why doesn't Ultra Pro make sleeves for Pokemon cards
once i bought one without looking and realised the card slot is to the side. not top. still work great though
Some one please tel me the difference between inner and outer sleeves
I’m just using what ever I have on me lol currently using kmc and ultimate guard for inner sleeves
Why are ETB sleeves bad?
they are made of rougher material, which makes it easier for surface damages. More suitable as an outer sleeve
@@TravisFlips ahhh oki!
my kmcs were not that tight
for jumbo cards?
Are you taking the cards in and out and in and out of the sleeves or what? Im gonna use KMC perfect then maybe double sleeve with ultra Pros. Ive heard theres a double sleeve just barely like 1mm wider for the perfect sleave and then store for quite a while in the premium dex binder .
Lmao I pulled a secret rare and no sleeves and had to rush home which takes an hour
I just bought 1200 sleeves from temu for 6$, if that isnt a 6/5 price idk what is.
I also sold my soul so that could pull it down a bit
I using dragon shield inner sleeve + dragon shield deck sleeve for years
dam that sucks. sometimes i hate it when i light my money on fire for no reason.
KMC solo es cuestión de práctica el no hacer presión al meter la carta y entra fácil y para sacar empujas desde abajo y sale tambien
beckett sleeves normal pricing is 4-5sgd but i managed to get them for 3sgd so depends on where you can get it from!
The BCWs are 98 cents per 100 on the website.
