It's about one year I use this Braumeister and I find it really great. The cooling jacket is ok; this summer I made some brews in very hot 40°C days (great for testing kveik yeast!) and the cooling jacket worked reasonably well with tap water (100° to 29°C in 45 mins). For boiling as well, it works fine and 100°C is not a problem, also in this season when there are 15°C while brewing, but in this case the optional (and expensive) steel dome available for this equipment has always been helpful in obtaining a rolling boil. However heat ramps are generally lengthy, probably because 2.5 kW of power are not a lot, but such a little power is good in a domestic environment where very often the limit of energy supply (at least in Italy) is 3 kW. I find all the parts solid, well thought and very well made: the sheets of steel are thick and everything is simple to assemble, disassemble and clean. The user interface is very simple, the wifi unit and Speidel site work well and making all grain beer is really simple and straightforward; as very often happen with equipments, you get what you pay for, and this equipment is very well made. The only problem I have at the moment is with fermentation in the same vessel, because I i find really tricky the operation of putting the provided rubber stoppers in the pump inlet and output, operation needed to avoid wort contamination through the pump and possible only putting them through the cool wort and the trub on the bottom; all the information found so far on the company site and on the web about this operation haven't been useful, and I start to think that the use of the equipment as fermenter is only possible after emptying, cleaning and sanitizing the vessel.

Nice job Francesco. That is quite the considered write up! Thanks for going to all that effort.

Ciao posso chiederti che impianto ? quanto intendi dire che è lenta nelle rampe quanto ci mette all'incirca? Hai trovato una soluzione? Grazie in anticipo

I have the older version and I love it. Switching to all grain really upped my beers. Doing all grain the old way with step mashes. Forget it. No one got time for that

Nice machine with the 2021 controller. Useless if it fails to go above 99C to get a good rolling boil. My 50L BM with the 2015 controller never went above 99C and just simmered.

I truly thought they would have come up with a better solution with the cross bar. It loook to easy to knock the cross bar off when lifting, even more now with the extra lugs. Still a nice looking rig.

    *Some passionate comments here!*
What do the Braumeister users out there think? Is the cooling jacket actually useless? Is the unit really incapable of making it to 100c?
The Brewtools systems look interesting and are yet to take hold in the Australian market. How do you think they stack up?
We’d love to hear your thoughts, whatever side they fall on!

Why did you decited to get a Speidel , and not the more powerfull Brewtools B40. The Speidel cooling jacket is useless.

      @@raffaeledipalmo2077 They all work.
But the Grainfather G40 would be my choice for a starter.
Speidel is way overpriced, just like Brewtools.
