We also have a playlist of our live streams, you can scroll through and check out any Braumeister related episodes:

A few months old this video but great demo guys.
It says 20L, is this final wort or full capacity?
Most AG kits are 25L unless you build a recipe

Hi Al, sorry for the late reply!
The 20L designation is more a general guide than a hard limit. The main limiting factor is the amount of grain the malt pipe can hold, rather than the final volume of liquid.
The 20L Brau can hold 5-6kg grain comfortably but you can push it. There are lots of little tricks you can use to squeeze in more grain and increase your final volume too. Double mashing is the most common method (you could get nearly 40L that way). There is too much to cover here in the comments so feel free to shoot us an email if you have more questions 🙂
As for recipes, it's not been our experience that most all grain kits are based on 25L batches. But having said that it varies from shop to shop and depends on where you live. All our kits are based on a 20L batch size.
If it comes to it, hopefully your local home brew shop would be happy to adjust the recipe to a particular batch size for you.

Do not understand why Speidel do not offer this new controller as a spare part to owners (like me) of the 2015 model with the crappy controller that mists up all the time!

Sorry to hear your controller is misting up, that must be frustrating! Swapping the controllers in the past was virtually plug and play. But unfortunately the new controllers are not easily installed. Being waterproof, the plugs in the back of the new controller were completely redesigned so there is no way to easily to fit them to the older Braus without also replacing all the leads (a fiddly electrical job). The upgraded thermostat in the tie rod also needs to be replaced. Technically all that is possible and you might find that you can actually buy the new controllers and the other bits needed as spare parts, but it isn't cheap. We investigated this option and found that by the time you bought the new controller, the special plugs and tie rod, you'd be better off just putting the money towards a whole new Braumeister.
