  • The Science and Technology Week is organized in the Democratic Republic of Congo by the non-profit organization Investing In People (IIP ASBL) in partnership with the Government. This event has three objectives: (1) to develop a scientific and technological culture in Africa; (2) to promote African knowledge and know-how in these fields; (3) and above all, to encourage vocations.
On the sidelines of the 10th edition of the Science and Technology Week scheduled from April 15 to 22, two online classes have been organized for students from Lesotho that we met during the 7th African School of Fundamental Physics and Applications (ASP) held at Nelson Mandela University in Gqeberha, South Africa, from November 28 to December 9, 2022.
The second online classe was held this Saturday, April 2, 2023 with particle physicist, Kenny Kale Sayi.
Doctor in Particle Physics from the University of Strasbourg in France after a degree in Physics from the University of Kinshasa and a Master in Subatomic Physics from the University of Strasbourg, Kenny Kale is an Associate Professor at the University of Kinshasa and an Associate Researcher at the Commissariat Général à l'Energie Atomique. He is also a member of the Double Chooz collaboration on the study of neutrino oscillations from nuclear reactors.
