I grew up on Eminem, and literally bawled like a baby when he said he wasn’t doin music anymore. Being a kid, and knowing this song by heart, and then going back and listening to it as a mom of 2 kids just hits completely different.

Hes been droping album after album, and the death of slim shady doesnt mean hes gonna stop doing music, if you know his story he refeers to slim shady as the bad side of him, the addicted one and the one who take the music over his kids. the death of slim shady only means that part of him is dead, and that he is in a better place now, recovered and have his priorities right.

I was like 11 or 12 years old and specifically remember him retiring being the talk of every radio station and everywhere else because he was struggling with his addiction at the time. There was definitely talk of him retiring, and just the mention of it made my little self heartbroken. Okay?

I am struggling a bit still, looking for another job again, but I am doing okay. Really wish there was a place I could go for therapy because my doctor keeps telling me to get into it, but I just dont have insurance to cover anything.
