Out of all the great 1982 films.. nothing has had legs like FIRST BLOOD!!! And Stallone's speech at the end actually shows his true acting chops!! "I can't find your legs..."
Great picks guys never get bored listing to your guys talk movies. My picks 10. Frist Blood. 9. Fast times at rigdemont high 8. Rocky 3. 7. E.T. 6. Halloween 3. 5. Amityville 2. 4. Friday the 13th 3. 3. Poltergeist. 2. The Thing. 1. Grease 2.
Another great episode! Here is my list and I’m leaving out the obvious choices (Halloween 3, etc) Best: Fast Times At Rigemont High Rocky 3 Night Shift Death Trap Firefox Worst: Basket Case The Dark Crystal
Superb list. I agree Darren Tenebrae is my favourite Argento that I've seen. I've got a whole bunch to watch but IMO better than suspiria and deep red.
There's another Simpsons gag about Death Wish I thought Frank was talking about. A movie critic announces he's going to be reviewing Death Wish 9, and it just cuts to Charles Bronson laying in a hospital bed saying, "I wish I was dead." Can't help but think of that anytime I see something about Death Wish.
@@jonjones6764 Yea, it really doesn't get much better then The Simpsons in their prime. That gag is actually from the crossover episode they did with Jon Lovitz's The Critic. That's up there for one of my favorites.
@@ChuckM0503 yeah, that episode had two of my other favorite gags. One where the critic badmouths MacGyver and then it cuts to him hanging from the gutter, and the famous football in the groin
Great video! 1982 was one of the best years ever! I liked Zapped as a kid, but it probably doesn't age well!! My favorites from 1982! First Blood, The Thing, Rocky 3, Star Trek 2, Visiting Hours, Conan The Barbarian, The Secret of Nimh, Friday the 13th pt 3, E.T and Blade Runner!
Hey guys ! Another great episode ! Some interesting and obscure titles were being thrown about ! A lot of Franks ‘worst’ choices I’d never heard of ! And yes - Darren, how dare you put Fulci’s - The New York Ripper on your worst list !! Absolute blasphemy !! 😂 but yeah, that duck quacking noise of the killer is pretty hilarious 🤣 fun fact : the detective (Jack Hedley) from New York Ripper also starred in an Christmas Special episode of Only Fools and Horses ! Great to see Who Dares Wins get some love ! I watched that film to death as a kid ! Rented it out hundreds of times 🤘🎃🤘
My best for 1982: 1. The Thing 2. The King of Comedy 3. The Year of Living Dangerously 4. The Verdict 5. Fast Times at Ridgemont High My worst for 1982: 1. Firefox 2. Grease 2 3. Jinxed! 4. Amityville II: The Posession 5. The Beastmaster Honorable Mentions: 1. Blade Runner 2. Halloween III: Season of the Witch 3. E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial 4. Creepshow 5. Poltergeist

Three of the BEST, Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, First Blood and It Came from Hollywood. 10 of the Worst: Yes, Giorgio, The Pirate Movie, Ator: The Fighting Eagle, The Sting 2, Get Crazy, Megaforce, Slapstick of Another Kind, Six Weeks, The Beastmaster, Jekyll and Hyde Together Again.
I was glad to see "Conan the Barbarian" at least among your honourable mentions, as that's my favorite movie from 1982 (alongside The Thing, I must admit). Once again, guys, I haven't even heard about most of your worst movies 😅. By the way, Darren, I'm with you on Tron - that movie is a drag 😬 and I really didn't get the hype at the time... Another two excellent choices are Tenebrae and Creepshow... 1982 was a great year indeed.
My Best Movies of 1982. E.T Poltergeist, First Blood, 48 Hours, Conan the Barbarian, The Thing, Blade Runner, Rocky 3, Class of 1984, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Star Trek 2 Wrath of Khan, Honorable mentions Swamp Thing, Halloween 3, Friday the 13th part 3 and Slumber Party Massacre.
I paid $1.99 for 1 bell pepper yesterday. I sat in my car staring at the receipt laughing maniacally for 5mins while crying on the inside before pulling myself together enough to drive home. It’s getting pretty crazy out here gents.
Year of the Shapeshifting Dog. The actor of Zapped was born in a Baio but not necessarily in Louisiana. I put on Fighting Back a week ago, oddly enough, but instead of the Death Wish clone it was an Aussie flick about a rebellious schoolboy.
I actually agree with you Both for your #1 best!!! Firstblood, nothing like it, and Final Option and Fighting Back, I have the original One Sheets for both!!! Love Tom Skerrit!!
It's a tough choice for me between Tenebrae and Suspiria . Oh, and I think the only reason they are doing a Tron 3 is because the new Tron ride at Disney World has been so popular 🤣...
Who Dares Wins: I was in the UK Army Air Corps in the 90's and i knew one of the pilots who was involved in this that carried the SAS to the Embassy. The Squadron that was used was given a clapperboard from the film as a keepsake. Oh c'mon Death Wish II has Bronsons best line to a soon to be dead rapist ''Do you believe in Jesus? Good because your about to meet him...''.
I cannot BELIEVE Poltergeist was PG. I saw this in theaters last year for the first time since I was a kid and was shocked at how creepy it was for a PG movie.
I completely forgot about 'The Toy'. That was a real good film. Love to see it again.. 'Tenebrae' is one I really need to revisit. 'The New York Ripper' - not a fan. 'Tron' sorry big yawn. 'Poltergeist' is still up there, one of my favorite movies. Also 'E.T' and 'The Thing'. Big Big movies. All brilliant still. 'CreepShow' again brilliant, Big names in this film. 'Pink Floyd - The Wall' is 'CRAZY (you hear this word many times). First time seeing, 'Another Brick in the Wall' video! When it was Number 1 in UK, gave me nightmares. I was only young and it was on ''The Old Grey Whistle Test'. I did use to watch 'Clash of the Titans' over and over again. RIP Pirate VHS.
You don't like TRON? To be fair it is very slow in pace and I do understand why people aren't fond of it but it's one of those films from my childhood that I absolutely adore.
First off… Thanks for your Member contribution. Very much appreciated. I love what you guys do so it’s an honour to have you join TSL.😀 With regards to Tron… I totally get that you would enjoy it, but in a world of Empire Strikes Back, Flash Gordon (which I was still hugely into, renting the Thorn EMI VHS repeatedly) Tron was too cold and safe for me. I think I rented The Black Hole more often than Tron 😬 Glad you are enjoying the content and thanks for the HUGE support . Darren
Rocky 3 is the top of my list. Such an awesome movie and Stallone was insanely shredded, plus eye of the tiger is 🔥. The first Swamp Thing was cool too, not my favorite DC character but i still dig the movie. Fast Times is so funny and relatable, even though i was in high school decades after the movie i still related to a lot of it. I thought Grease 2 was such a horrible movie. Amityville 2 is awful but for some reason i love it. I have the two tape double feature of 1 and 2 rewatched it last summer and my god it's so bad.
Some classics there, Zapped 😂😂😂 Who dares wins oh god i was never into that a cheap version of the shitty professionals 😂😂😂 tron im glad that thing never made the best list its like a ZX Spectrum game. Sword and the Sorcerer was class back in the day there were a bunch of that fantasy type on vhs. Grease 2 lol i cant believe Darren you didnt like singing along to "cool rider" 😂 great vid from better times for films indeed 👌👌
Sid Barrett the original lead singer of Pink Floyd went off the deep end on L.S.D he basically lived on it for along time it’s rumored he took it everyday for weeks and he went into a mental institution for awhile as far as I know? But most the early days songs were influenced by his descent into his psychosis, the entire album Wish You Were Here is supposedly all about Sid and the day they were actually recording that song a guy who no one recognized was outside the studio in the lounge area with a completely shaved head and no eyebrows and laughing at them through the glass as they played and after they were done he left and it was Sid come to find out , he eventually got out and lived a semi normal life but was a recluse and very odd , Jesus ✝️ have mercy on his soul , but it’s just strange that he showed up at the recording of the song that was basically about him on the album basically about him lol not unless someone told him ? But who ? He was definitely out of their social network as far as I know? Its definitely strange
People who find things like that offensive, and my opinion, don’t actually have any real problems to take up their time Like raising children or putting food on the table or what have you?
Awesome video! Love this series! Keep up the great work guys! 💪📹🎟️
Best channel on UA-cam. Love all of your videos. My top 5 in 82 are First Blood, Poltergeist, King of Comedy, ET and Fast Times

Thanks! Will do!

They made a sequel called Zapped Again in 1990.
They did, it was worse 😂

I used to flip back and forth which one was my favorite, but lately I'd say it's Tenebrae. But Susperia is REALLY GOOD!
Just got back from Disney in Orlando, not a fan of the Tron movie but the ride was really fun!
I believe Tarantino recreated the scene with the blood spraying out of her arm from Tenebrae in Kill Bill.

Tron, didn’t enjoy it as a kid but did like the action figures and cycles..
That was all it had to offer to be fair…
The songs in Grease 2 take the innuendo to 11. Do it (for your country), Let's Bowl (We're Gonna Score), Reproduction. This is for young adults?
Another great show!!! I have to agree with Darrin, TRON sucked! And why a sequel??? Crazy stupid!
I hate ragging on bad films but Tron, that movie was soulless unfortunately.
