Haha That girl is from southeast GA. I grew up with this accent
Its crazy how the most recent comments was 2 years ago
A LLLReptile employee with a southern accent. I think im in love.
I like the new southern bell from Georgia... very cute ;)
Thats one of the cutest accents ive ever heard!
I love the videos y'all make, they're very helpful!! I'm planning on getting a Ball Python within the next few months. I can't wait, hopefully I can keep the humidity where it needs to be. I live in Florida and love my A/C haha
i like how u made the moss soft
Paper towels are easier to use and clean
i live in south africa, and it is very warm :) (no really i wear summer clothes in winter)
Arwen Evenstar AND I went swimming today and yesterday AND ITS THE FREAKING MIDDLE OF WINTER!!!
Yeah!! She's from georgia cx... me too but I live in cali..
the humidity helps the snake shev! 0:43
I live in Georgia! :D
My Ball Python is so spoiled he loves to sleep next to me when I take a nap. I have never seen a ball act like him though.
this was a great video but just a word about the spider patter is that the spider gene which causes the mutation is notorius for causing head bobbing in theses snakes, unfortunatly one of the down side to colour mutations
ball pythons get from 4 to 6 feet. i know because the smallest one is 3ft 9in and the biggest one is 6ft. just depends on how often they get fed. i feed my baby bp about 2 hoppers per month.
thanks for the info
If it annoys you, you can always soke your pet in warm (not too hot) water for about an hour (water level around the snake's "height")... then the skin will be soft enough for you to gently pull it off. If your pet is not shedding its' skin in a single piece it's probably because the humidity level is a little low!
I should also let you know that I always "bath" my snake when he's shedding, then take the skin away myself, that way the terrarium is cleaner... He's perfecly healthy
This is very HELPFUL!!!!
Can you use the moss in a hermit crab tank?
it was pretty accurate but i don't think the hot spot needs to be quite 96 i think it should be 1 or 2 degrees lower but that's just my opinion
Love her accent!
she seems really nice.
lllreptile is LEGIT
Her fav movie is snakes on a plane
your right
can you do a care vid on a baby veiled chameleon
She's got a lovely accent.
My home state is Georgia too
greetings from Georgia
Ball pythons are not very aggressive.... normally. But I believe that any snake that is aggressive can be tamed with work.
how big is your tank and how long will that last for a baby....and how long will a 30x18 work
how often do ball pythons shed because im about to get one and im curious to see when it might start soaking in the water
I would just like to know how you are going to heat the tank.... You mentioned warm end between 90-95 but how are you getting the temp like that?
Love your accent
Got everything for my ball python (even the ball python) from LLL. I got a 40 gallon tank as well. I know you cover a few tips for holding humidity in a tank on your website but I've tried everything and the humidity continues to fluctuate in my tank. My room is very warm and creates the perfect 88 degrees fahrenheit temp in the tank but the humidity fluctuates between 40 to 60 all throughout the day. the best way i contain humidity is with a damp towel ontop of the screen but that still doesn't get it to a moderate and constant humidity...someone help because i feel awful for my snake and kind of want to sell it to someone who can maintain a healthy habitat for him
+Josh G side note: he went through his first shed (with me) the other week and it was awful. i had to soak him in water for upwards of 30 minutes to get the whole shed off. once i did that however it came off perfectly but i hate that he can't comfortably get his shed off in one piece.
+Josh G If you don't have one - add a humid hide cave. Put some moist sphagnum moss in the cave, and keep it semi moist. That will help it shed completely the next go-around :)
Ok thankyou
I plan to order a baby ball python from you guys within a month. I need to set up it's 'habitat' first though and was wondering what the best way to maintain the hot and cool side. I know heating pads work for the warmer area but whats the best way to keep the other side at a proper temp? and what's the best way to keep the humidity at its proper level? This is my first snake and im suuuuper excited
4everanimelover100 You just keep the warm side warm enough, and I honestly wouldn't worry about the cool side . The snake will use the differences in temperature to thermoregulate. Use moss, misting, or a fogger to help with humidity.
I have a heat pad and a heat lamp for my ball in a 30 gallon terrarium..the temp usually ranges from 80-87 degrees a few inches above the substrate, but i take a probe thermometer directly over the heat pad above the glass and it reads about 115-120 degrees..is this acceptable?
Thank you and on side note do you have have Lesser Plat Females??
I have a baby ball python and it's humidity is 32 and its shedding isn't going well I use the goldish looking wood pieces for it , anyways it's shedding isn't going well it's shedding piece by piece what do I do?
I'm using a plastic bin as a temp enclosure for my ball python. Would the plastic melt if I put an 8 watt heat mat from Zilla under it? Thanks
steff is sooooo cute :)
How often do I have to change the substrate? Also would it be better to use light colored bedding so if they make a mess you can see it better and clean it right away? Jw
well mine is only 20 inches long and 100g. so should i still feed him 2 per month or once a week?
What if I bought an Albino Cali King Snake from you and it ships while I'm in school. I come home from school around 4:14pm. NVM my UPS ships at night
should i use a heat lamp or a heat pad?
Hi i noticed you said they should grow up to 4 to 5 ft...well i have a ball python its 7 years old and it 6.5ft
Thank you for your very informative video. But why do you have to intonate every sentence as if it's a question?
How long will this last a ball python
My baby ball python striked at the mouse lower jaw, im worried it might be injured
Would a 20 gallon tank be large enough
No need for a 10gallon I use a 25quart tube with flexwatt heat tape an I don't use substrate I use paper towels cause its easier to clean an replace
I've never used moss but I'm wondering how often should you change it? Do you change have to change it more often or just change it when you clean the cage?
hi i would like to no if your use a 10gal tank for the snake, and i see u guys sell snake to,
will this fit a 6qt tub? Zoo Med mini Reptitherm heating pad
How often do you change their water? Every day, week?
do they need a light
how often will they bite im getting mine on june 20 its the 16 so i dont want it to bite people so please respond
Okay I'm having some trouble with my new ball python cage, I have a heat pad and a heat lamp going but the cage temp never exceeds 85 degrees. What can I do?
Is it a tall tank? Get a higher wattage bulb
how long do they live for?
Hi what size Zoo Med Habba Hut do your baby ball python need?
So I am looking to maybe get one of these guys, and the one I am looking at is a small little python. The tank I have atm is the same as the one at the pet store (10 gal), so would he be good for a little while? Until I can afford an upgrade after a while?
+Cody Ruffenach I wouldn't start off with a 10 gallon unless you are starting with a baby childrens python or spotted python. 10 gallon is just too small to start with for most other pythons, including ball pythons. Save up for the right sized terrarium, correct heat, bedding, decor, etc, first before you get the pet.
***** Okay, so do you think purchasing a 20 gallon would be good for a while? The onr at the store seems fairly young.
+Cody Ruffenach A 20 is ok to start. You will need to upgrade it in a year or so, give or take.
***** Okay, that will be fine then. I am going to be getting a job soon, so I will be able to save for a bigger one more easily.
+Cody Ruffenach a 10 gallon is fine....for a baby. In fact you can keep a baby in a tub (with paper substrate but others work too) and it will be happy and healthy.
where can i get this substrate?!?!
Can I get this cage on the website?
also... sorry I didn't put it in the first message...how much is your normals
Which rock outcrops size should i use for an adult ball python?
my parents wont let me get a ball python so how should i convince them that they are good pets?
Can I put red bean on it
How do you go a other buying a ball python here
should i us heating tape for an exo terra 36/18/12 with an infored ligth or should i just us a heat lape and an infered.please reply;)
I agree with arsenaly9
wouldn't the bark be able to carry mites
I got a normal Ball Python about a week ago, I made her a sweet custom cage and all that I posted a video up on my "Channel" Although, I don't really have a channel lol just 2 videos. But, Its Temperatures on the cool side vary from inside his hides to outside at like 78-85 but the hot side seems to only get 90 or so. I wanted to use my heating pad but I had moved at lost it in the process. *Well, its probably in a box I haven't found* Should I buy one and throw it on the hot side to get that 95 or so?
How do you get the moss so soft like that...I have the same zoo med moss and I had a handful of it and poured warm water all over it for a good 25 seconds and squeezed the water out of it but it still isn't any where near that texture. I want it to be like that bad this vid is what made me go and buy the moss in the first place. Plz help
Put it in a bucket of water and leave it for 10 minutes :) At the stores, we have a designated moss bucket that's full of water and moss.
Jens not doin the video................?
hi, i have a few questions about my 3 yeat old ball python. i got him from another person who did not know how to care for him properly.. is there a website or email i can contact you to het some information?
Hi may i know which better cage
Plastic box or glass cage? Tnx
wow. Not once did I feel like correcting something she said O_O..... +1 to squeeze55... +10000 to "Steph" =p
Is orchid bark a better substrate than aspen? Cause it looks too sharp...
No necessarily better, they just do different things. Neither one is sharper than the other, just the shape of the substrate particles.
How often do you change out the bedding?
+Stephanie M. I do it once a month
Pretty often every 2 weeks thats what I do
my tank is 55 right now
55s actually are skinnier than 40 gallons so I think 40 is best
Umm what size cage for an adult
Sugar_bear 44 40 gallon
What kind of moss is that? I use moss in my BP's tank too but the moss I use doesn't look anywhere as nice as the kind you're using even if I let it soak.
Robin Locksly New Zealand Sphagnum moss. :)
***** Thanks :)
Cute little wobblehead
FTDOOM that’s a defect in spiders it may be cute but not for the snake
Completely agree hate spiders the only way I’d get one is a rescue
i live in Masachusettes so do i need a heating mat or just the same stuff?
+Lauren E (Neya) You'll need some form of heating equipment for your snake. Either an under-tank heater or a heat lamp. No matter where you are you'll need the extra heat :)
haha i go to the mission balley so much that they know my name
Think her name is steffanie
I have a 20 gallon long we had a leopard gecko in it. would our tank be on for a ball python?
Jason Roux yes that would be good
Jason Roux no they need a bigger cage
20 gallon is good for a baby, but it needs to be replaced when they get larger.
Jason Roux 40 gallons
40 gallons is best but 20 gallons would work as a temporary tank
Ah i love ball pythons!!! Take a look at my 2 pythons & pets in my channel.
once a week
Georgia that's where I am
Do they need lighting
No
omg right at the end that face was scary!
I want to work with snakes ): But there are so few chances in europe or am i wrong!? ):
how big does a ball pyton get :)
it issssss!!
does it work to freeze cypress mulch to get rid of the bugs? I'm thinking of using cypress mulch from lows so it'll probably have bugs. but i don't know if freezing it in the freezer will work. any suggestions?
Tommy Ma I’m way too late but yeah it’ll work freeze it for 1-3weeks and you’ll be good
Is it normal to house reptiles in boxes without front ventilation?
For snakes, especially ball pythons and smaller colubrids, racks are commonly used for breeders.
Thank you! Racks always has side or front ventialation but i'm talking about aquarium like terrariums, like on the video, that don't have side or front ventilation, only te top. In the books i usually could find that there will be not enough air circulation and reptiles will soon get fungal or backterial disease. Is it wrong? For what terraium inhabitats are those aquariums suited? I think it couls be ok for frogs, or it is not hight(maybe up to 40cm) for any ground animal. Am i right?
Racks do not have any side ventilation or front. They are tubs. They vent out the top. A regular terrarium with a screen top is fine for ball pythons and other smaller colubrids.
Thanks!
An adult ball python (Male or Female) needs a minimum of 40 gallons. Trust me, I've been keeping them for years.
same lucky us
