    I hate little blonde hairs on my face but not for this much work. You look great. With my skincare routine, I already feel time guilt. This just is not something I can do but thanks for sharing the video! Best part was the sunscreen application! You properly dosed. Great example! Such an important part of any routine!

      Hi Type1Dmama, oh thank you for your kind words. It's ok if it's not for you, and yes it does take time. But now that you know it's something you can do at home, if you ever wanted to try it, you know it's out there. YES, I had skin cancer so I use a lot of sunscreen. I will say, I'm not the best at re-applying, but I really am conscious and wear it everyday. Thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate it. :)

    Esthetician here, you have the blade in the wrong way. If u look at the bottom of the blade, it should line up perfectly with the shape of the handle and it clicks in nicely. Just wanna help you 😊

      The blade has a slant, as does the handle. They should match up. Scalpels are SUPER SHARP. If you haven't taken courses or practiced on faux skin, clients I don't recommend letting anyone but a trained professional use that form of blade. 😊

    You can get 10 Rounds too! It's the length, not the shape. 10s are shorter than 14s, then you choose either pointed or rounds.

    question (especially for medical professionals/licensed estheticians) : other than length, is there a difference between a 14 blade and a 10R? and is one better than the other for dermaplaning?
    ive been dermaplaning my skin for a few years. ive done it myself and gotten it done by an esthetician (depending what i can afford at the time). now that ive switched jobs and work in healthcare, i cant afford to go to a pro to get it done (LOL the irony). but every time i go in i have zero issues with my skin and my skin looks incredible, but when i do it at home my skin gets irritated and i cant get a good close EVEN “shave”. so id like to try a new tool, but i want to use the correct tool. thanks in advance!

      The 10 blade is to get into smaller and hard areas on face and the 14 is for the larger areas of the face

      I use the blade that is curved on the end. That is what I recommend you look for. :)

    • @SunLuxSkincare
      @SunLuxSkincare  2 роки тому

      Hi M Rodriguez, the biggest benefit I would say is the physical exfoliation you get by doing this, and then it is said to help stimulate collagen production. I have been doing it for years and I absolutely love it, and my skin feels so smooth and wonderful after. :)

    I've read conflicting things during my research, can this (dermaplaning) help minimise super enlarged pores and acne scarring? Very helpful video ❤️

    • @SunLuxSkincare
      @SunLuxSkincare  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Kirsty, dermaplaning is more for a really good exfoliation, and it's said to help stimulate collagen production. The only thing that I know to really help reduce large pores are laser treatments. So for that I recommend you talk with a dermatologist, and they can help you with that. But for a great exfoliation and smooth skin, I absolutely recommend you try dermaplaning. Thank you for your message and for watching my video. ;)

      No, micro-needling is a better choice for your current concerns.

    • @jkc8407
      @jkc8407 3 місяці тому

      Microneedling, or TCA cross. TCA cross is used for boxcar, rolling, and icepick scars. It helps! You do need a couple t/x, but it's definitely worth it!

    Ok, saying this with love 💕
    I would not never recommend people do this on themselves at home. It’s an advanced technical procedure that should be done by a pro. Lots of training and hours and practice is needed. Those are scalpels. Scary 😟 overdoing it can be harmful to your skin in the long run.
    And yes, you put the blade on wrong. There are pre and post care precautions and care that people need to know about. Some people are not even good candidates for a dermaplane.

    • @SunLuxSkincare
      @SunLuxSkincare  Рік тому +2

      Hi PaperBesos, yes I agree, and that is why I have a video for Beginners where I use tools that have blade guards. But I get asked all the time, how to get more advanced with this. That is why I share this video. But I hear you, and I hope everyone is very careful. :)
