As long as the change is small, it should not make much of a difference. You should try to find the average focal point across the entire surface for the best result. Flat materials generally work the best.

Hey Mark! It would really just depend on the size of the guitar. A typical full-size guitar is around 38 inches long, which should fit in the 40"x24" bed of the Speedy 400. The Speedy 400 also has an option for passthrough for longer instruments!

Hello! Our machines are not designed for metal cutting. Fiber lasers can effectively cut extremely thin metal films, but that is all we generally recommend them for. The Speedy 400 will not be able to effectively cut 3mm stainless steel.
Hey Jess! Generally, wood thicker than about 1/2" will be difficult to cut through with a laser, especially if it is denser wood. There can be a lot of charring and roughness on the edges. We would recommend a mechanical cutter for 25 mm wood.

Hello! You should not move the item while the laser is operating. Only move it through the openings before or after engraving.
