Matt brings the last pinch of salt to this brilliant recipe which I didn't know I needed until now❤️
Can we please have Matt on this as much as possible? It’s great how the Try Wives are complete! ❤️
If Rachel thinks A Court of Mist and Fury (book 2) is spicy, she’s going to be shocked when she gets to A Court of Silver Flames (book 5) 😂
Rachel is in for a surprise with A Court of Silver Flames if she doesn’t want anything more hard core than the previous ACOTAR books… I hope she has an update next podcast 😂
Literally what i was thinking! ahah
😂😂😂 I can’t wait to hear what she has to say after she’s read it. I love those books.
My boyfriends mother started reading the series and Im terrified because of that book
Rachel saying “wow becky” after Becky gave Allison Stoner’s whole biography was the highlight of this episode LMAO
Except she said Mary J Blige and it was Missy Elliott 😱
@@biancabarrios8803 Yes I was just going to say that too. I only really remembered her being in Missy Elliot music videos.
Anyone else rewathcing old episodes cause you miss Ariel? Same 😔
can we just had the first 20 minutes of every podcast start with a smutty book club review on what you're reading?! Love Sarah J Maas!
Same! I discovered ACOTAR last July and read all 5 in a month. Currently working through thr ToG series. I read Assassin's Blade and now and I'm ToG.
@@UnknownAz whats tog? I highly recommend From Blood and Ash series they are amazing!!!
@@Alyssa_Noel TOG is the Throne of Glass series, also by Sarah J Maas
Absolutely loved the throne of glass series and ACOTAR, the perfect mix of steamy with a good fantasy plot 😭

@27:44 BAHAHA BECKY! "Wes can't enroll himself in a CLASS! He has no MONEY!" 😂😂😂
i need ariel to drop her list of recommended smut novels, pls queen!!!
I absolutely love all of them together. I understand, the try guys are this team made for entertainment, but who would have known their significant others would be so great together.
Everytime they upload, I get such a smile on my face! Also I love how comfortable they all became in front of the camera, especially Matt!
Matt is a great addition to the podcast. Can we keep him, please?
The older I get, the more self-consious I am about dancing in public. But I still love singing, dancing, music in general, and I also like cooking, so I often find myself singing and dancing in the kitchen. 🙂
Fun fact - where I live, it's common for 16-17-year-olds to take dance classes. At school (our equivalent of US high schools I suppose), the whole class usually picks a dancing course and they attend it together for 2-3 months, together with other kids of the same age from different schools. We learn quite a few ballroom and Latin dances there, they also try to teach us some kind of manners or socially appropriate behaviour, call it what you may... And at the end of the course, all the kids have a ball of sorts, their families and friends are invited, the kids show what they have learned, dance with their partners' parents, there's usually a dancing competition and other fun activities... Sure, it can be a little awkward at times, but I totally loved it and I have a lot of sweet memories of those times. 😊
My younger brother is in dance. He started at 4 years old and was the ONLY boy the studio ever had. Everyone adored him and for the recital they did a dance from beauty and the beast and he was the beast while all the girls were Belle. Now there’s a for more boys in the studio but I think Wes should totally join a dance class!
I've had dance lessons and same here, only one boy but it was contemporary so we didn't need to be paired to execute the choreography. I really hope parents will be more likely to put their boys in classes in the future, cause I've had friends at university who would try it out for the first time and wish they had been sooner so they wouldn't feel so embarrassed!
Ok 1) I’m so happy the gals are reading ACOTAR!! I just finished and started the author’s other series Throne of Glass. 2) SMUT BOOK CLUB??? YES PLS! We stan
LOL my grandma is definitely the one that gets pulled in by a young, outgoing man and danced with at all the family weddings. It is very cute. And I can totally imagine Eugene doing that 😂
I love that Ariel is an expert in smut. Finally some role models to look up to
Matt's face was so red during the smut book talk. Ladies, you want to read Ann Rice's Sleeping Beauty 4 book series for true smut love. Just saying. LOL! Dance parties were a regular thing growing up in my house. We're usually the first on the dance floor at weddings and other parties. No lessons, just body moves. :D Matt is so adorable!
I want Ariel to read A court of thorns and roses and talk abt it on the pod!
Putting children in dance classes is so important! It will give them awareness of their limbs and better coordination and posture for the rest of their lives!
Plus, it really trains them in stage presence so reading in front of the class will be a breeze and also teaches working in unison and timing.
I love ACOTAR! Wait til you get to book 5! Talk about smut! Currently reading the Zodiac Academy series and it’s great too!
I’ve said this before but Clan of the Cave Bears (and the whole series) is one of my favorite book(s). I was introduced to it in high school (early 2000s) and fell in love with it. Yes it is smutty but the story of the main character (Ayla) was so good.
I LOVE dancing. My close friends in high school and I would always be the first ones on the dance floor at all the dances. House parties in college, I would be dancing rather than playing drinking games.
Matt looked like a decent dancer when he appeared in the video where Eugene thought them KPOP dances back in Buzzfeed.
Good memory. I looked up the video because of you, the title is "Americans Try K-Pop Dance Moves."
I was watching an episode of This is Us recently where "Clan of the Cave Bear" is referenced & my immediate thought was, "OMG IT'S ARIEL' S BOOK"
Rachel needs to write The Businesswoman's Lobsterman because I would read that so fast
I LOOOOVE The addition of Matt!!!! I hope he is here to stay! The combo of all 5 is the best 🤩🔥
Love having Matt on the pod❤️
I'm so glad Matt is here! 🖤 I can't tell you how many times I actually burst out laughing during this ep
do they talk about how “After” was originally a fanfiction about Zayn and Harry from One Direction? 😂
From what I've gathered from UA-camrs that read it, the entire group was in the fanfic lol
Omg! This is my favorite episode and I’m only 10 minutes in. I love ACOTR and so excited you all are reading the series. Plus, Matt seems so confused. 🤣
I need Ariel to read Ice Planet Barbarians. It’s right up her alley, she’s gonna love it
OH MY GOD I hadn’t even thought about this but we absolutely need it
100% Ice Planet Barbarians are, each and every one of them, hot lazy day beach read. Don’t be scared by the Kindle Unlimited.
I LOVE ALL OF YOU I AM SO EXCITED! please please please have Matt join you guys more often, he is such a delight.
Matt is like the cherry on top of every pod/vid he's on. I loveeee them! ❤️❤️
Ariel describing her perfect smut reading scenario unearthed a memory of when I was young like 1st grade we went on vacation and the house we rented had a bookshelf of those books. Being new readers my cousin and I both would read them out loud clearly not understanding the context but there we were
Matt gagging at the titles was hilarious haha
Petition to add Rachel to the screen cap of all the trywives in the beginning
Patiently waiting for them to get to ACOSF when they discover that Sarah moved from YA to adult bc of the smut
Yay! More Matt - all the partners are together!
I would 100% join a virtual book club with Ariel! I’m not sure about smut… I prefer romance to erotica
Me too! I like erotica but a great romance would be awesome!!!
Petition for a YCSWU smutty book club
You all should do a video like the try guys did about recreating their childhood iconic looks. I think that would be so cute and so fun!
Smutty book recs: Get a life Chloe brown, Bridgerton series, the Hating Game, the unhoneymooners, the series Wicked Villans (katee robert), Love lettering, the kiss quotient
PLEASE MAKE IT AN ACTUAL THING, PLEASE!! We need the smutty book club!!
I'm sitting in my car teaching myself to embroider while my 8 1/2 yr old son is in musical rehersal. He's danced since age 4 and has always been the only boy in his classes but everyone gets over it. He adores it and is just a joy to watch him dance. Enrol your boys in dance class!!
When I was in middle school we didn’t have any formal dances but the local Moose Lodge hosted us either once or twice a month. They had a DJ, pizza, and soda. I think they charged $3 to get in and you had to pay separately for each slice of pizza.
SMUT SMUT SMUT!!!
I cannot wait to finish this episode!
Regarding 50 shades, I tried to read it to see what all the fuss was about, bit like Matt and Rachel, I could not get pass how poorly written it was.
However, for one of my friend's birthdays, she gathered a bunch of her amazing girlfriends, we went to dinner and drinks, then watched the movie. It was so much fun!
Same and the BDSM wasn’t so much shocking as it was a bad depiction of what BDSM actually is.
super love matt being on the pod!! 🤍
I just HAD to say, (nothing to do with this episode) that while flipping through channels this weekend, I happened on an old Carol Burnett episode that featured Imogene Coca. Carol dressed as a man to pretend she was Coca's husband to get a cheaper airfare. In my opinion she looked almost EXACTLY LIKE KEITH!!!, mustache and all!
27:15 it was so refreshing when matt (a white cis guy) went ‘sometimes its good to experience being a minority’ because it 100% is when you’re privileged in the ways he is
I love romance novels, and read them regularly. It's nice to have something less stressful to read, and the conflicts are easily dealt with and end with happily ever afters - most of the time.
Any episode with Matt is next level fun!!!
They mentioned clan of the cave bear on the newest This Is Us and I thought about Ariel
Ok, so now we absolutely have to see a video where Ariel leads the try wives in a jazzercise video!
April - "I'll be the coolest mom"
Also April - "I wanted to run a jazzercize empire"
💀 ☠ 💀 ☠ 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I would love to see Maggie's scene phase! Omg!
I grew up in Scotland and had to do scottish ceilidh dancing throughout school, at every wedding and new year party. Not fun as a kid but with liquid courage as an adult...so much fun.
Im a 18 yo boy and i read a court of thorns and roses at like 14… the newest acotar book is less fantasy and more smut. Sarah also just came out with her first adult fantasy and the second one comes out this month
Please have the smut segment every time!! I need this is my life.
Omg I’m obsessed with all of SJMs books! Read Throne of Glass and House of Earth and Blood too Rachel
Try pod and you can sit with us are the only podcasts I religiously listen to❤️ All I have is love!
God I love this podcast, it really feels like having a chat with friends. I swear I've listened to every episode so many times, they cheer me up when I'm not feeling great. I hope you all know how much we appreciate this podcast and all the time and energy that goes into producing it (Miles, Rainie).
Just love me some Matt he brings perspective 💗
just a book suggestion for the readers: from blood and ash by jennifer l armentrout
its the right ratio of smut and plot and both get better as the series goes on🌿🌿
I came here to recommend this too as a good series for those who like ACOTAR
omg im reading ACOSF right now and it was such a fun surprise hearing the gals mention the series. More ACOTAR discussion pls, i want to hear your thoughts!!!
I vote for more smutty book club! this was so fun!
I must say fanfiction is my prowl (rather than printed smut) - though I read fanfics for more than just smut 😅😜😆
(...and dare I say...I write a few of it too? 🙈)
This is one of the only podcast me and my amigas listen to cause there's a lot. I am so happy You can sit with us exist. Helped me learn about social perspectives .
Lol I loved Ariel’s intro
This episode is AMAZING 😂 Matt is the cherry on top of my already favorite podcast. Also, I need more smuttalk
Smut connoisseurs like Ariel really should give books like Morning Glory Milking Farm by CM Nascosta a chance. Monster smut and silly premise aside, it's a great, lighthearted smutty book! 10/10 would recommend.
And if you're open to smutty books beyond the usual blasé hetero and human kind, highly recommend the following smutty books:
- Lola and the Millionaires by Kathryn Moon (reverse harem omegaverse with M/F and M/M; very spicy and soooooooooo good, my absolute fave; great book to start with if you're still iffy about monsters and nonhuman stuff)
- A Lady of Rooksgrave Manor by Kathryn Moon (reverse harem AND paranormal monster smut--give it a chance, trust me, it's so good)
- The Lady and the Orc by Finley Fenn (enemies to lovers orc warrior smut--probably not for the uninitiated, but great smutty book nonetheless)
I second this!! Morning Glory Milking Farm was a FANTASTIC read. I also thought it seemed silly when I saw friends on Goodreads reading it, but it truly had more to it than just the smut.
I used to hate dancing when I was younger. I went and still go to so many weddings, but I love dancing now! Afghans and Uzbeks know how to party!
everyone is so great it's such a breath of fresh air listening to this podcast!! makes me smile ❤
Middle-school Wes: "Just a thought, Mom... but- and hear me out here- What if Uncle Eugene chaperones insteadofyou....?"
🤣🤣🤣
Allison Stoner was in Missy Elliott's music video (not Mary J Blige) but carry on lol love you Becky ❤😂
The one song I must dance to no matter where I am is Footloose! At work, in the car , in a store! MUST dance to Footloose!
Loved this episode! I love to dance and I love erotica: what's not to love about this episode. And Matt is here too?! What a delightful treat! Thank you, Ladies!
I didn't think Fifty Shades of Grey was particularly good. The Crossfire series by Sylvia Day is the superior series - it's the wealthy billionaire smut story done multiple times better. In addition, I loved Never Seduce a Scot by Maya Banks (one of the Queens of Smut) - Historical Smut where the main protagonist is Deaf, but people thought she was mad or crazy, but she was very aware of what is happening to her. When Erotica and smut is done correctly, it is a wonderful world to be lost in.
Keep up the great work and yes, I'd love to continue sitting with you all. Thank you for making my Tuesday mornings so much better.
not Matt and I retching at the same time as the Minotaur one 😭
Hahahhaha I rarely miss an episode but sometimes I do watch it a couple of days later. I just saw the title and I'm sooo here for it! 😂 I really love that from Ariel😊
We had the same first dance as Becky and Keith :D didn't know that. We chose the song, because it was more fun, with more energy. Most songs at weddings are really slow and boring.
Not Mary J Blige, Becky, MISSY ELLIOTT!
It’s probably just me but I feel like Ariel is constantly commandeering the conversation. I want to hear more from Maggie and Becky honestly
I was just about to comment the same thing on another YCSWU episode but kept wondering if it was just me and me favoring the others a little more. But yeah I also feel like it’s been spotlighting Ariel more
"When you become a stripper in your mind" 😂😂😂
I love listening to all 5 of you talk! Y’all always brighten up my Tuesdays
You need to read Morning Glory Milking Farm! Full smut but good!!
YOU GUYS, if you like ACOTAR you are going to LOVEEEEE the From Blood and Ash series AND A Discovery of Witches series. I am seriously obsessed, I only found acotar once I was finished with the other two and was so sad they were over lol.
Wait until you get to A Court of Silver Flames ladies. Then you'll call the ACOTAR series smutt hahaha.
Gorgeous!
And to think that Matt danced in one of Eugene's videos :)
Not Becky saying Mary J Blige when she meant Missy Elliott 🥲🥲🥲
I LOVE that Ariel and Rachel are so passionate about reading smut! The Fifty Shades trilogy could've been better. I read all three books and watched the first two movies. Love the podcast!
Dancing, singing, art are all human activities to be enjoyed if you wanna. Period. Those are fun community or solo activities I think we need to act on and express sometimes whether or not you are 'good'.
Not sure if this has been asked before - but do you guys have "Good Reads" lists where you keep track of what you have read / want to read?
high key 👀 👀 wannna take a peek at those lists. 👀 👀
Jazzercise with the try wives + Matt!
As someone who reads a stupid amount of smut. I'd die to listen to them have a smut reaction podcast. So funny
You should read the brown sisters trilogy!!! It´s romantic, well written and spicyyy
Yayyyy! My book club told me you ladies were reading ACOTAR! ACOMAF AND ACOWAR are my faves 🥺🥰
Omg I thought this podcast was on hiatus! Turns out it was just wasn't showing up in my subscription timeline. 😭 time to catch up on the last 3 months
This podcast is so much fun
i feel like I'm hanging out with you guys ❤💜
The prince in disguise is amazing!
Darryl Hannah - Clan of the Cave Bear. Alison Stoner danced for Missy Elliott. Books from Laurell K Hamilton-Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series
I highly recommend learning some basic shuffle/electroswing moves. They're super easy to learn and look like you are doing more than you are.
LOL, Ariel saying " I went to college in Minnesota, so none of us knew how to dance." From Minnesota.. knows how to dance >.
The milking minotaur one sounds so funny.
