  • After surviving a tractor accident, Andy Hitz was faced with the decision to amputate his left arm, leading him to a new life with his prosthesis.
As a retiree, Andy enjoys working on his small farm in Waxahachie, TX. His prosthesis is a myoelectric arm and hand and it is controlled similar to a person without limb loss. When Andy wants to grab the steering wheel on his tractor, his brain sends a signal to his residual limb. Then, the myoelectric arm translates the signals to open or close his prosthetic hand. And just like that, Andy is steering his tractor.
Now that Andy is back to operating his farm with two hands, he approaches life, chores, and day-to-day tasks with energy and spirit.
We strive to restore mobility to people with any level of upper or lower limb loss or limb difference.
