I use a Frontier GM1072 without issues. I used it with a 2019 1025r and now on my 2022 2025r. I would say the only small issue would be with the 1025r if I wanted to change directions like going from forward to reverse and Vice versa. The caster wheels on the mower did not always rotate Instsntly and hence they did it gave me a very lite small bump. To be fair I did not have my rear tires filled so maybe that would have helped.
With my 2025r I have filled tires and No direction change issues what so ever.
I never had an issue with lifting the mower with either tractor!

Since I routinely need the ground clearance for forks and bucket: I was able to find a used rear finish mower in great shape for $500. My other option was to purchase a basic zero turn so I would not be constantly hooking and unhooking the mid mount. Either was cheaper than the dealer installed mid mount. But if I was mowing several acres of pristine front lawn? Then I would get the mid mount, but that’s a different job description from mine. Thanks for a useful video.

You have some really great videos!! You'll soon be the Messicks of John Deere!! lol Seriously, keep them coming their great!! Anyway, I have a 3-point 6' finish mower that I pull behind my compact tractor w/a cab. I mow ~7 acres (a 5-acre lot next to the 2.5-acre lot the house sits on) all flat with very few trees. The 3-point finish mower is great for the 5-acre lot, but for the 2.5-acre lot a belly mower or ideally a ZT would be better. My biggest complaint with the pull-type mower is it takes longer to get started. When I want to mow I don't want to have to go out and hook things up. I just want to put fuel in and mow. I will say though that the blade tip speed on my finish mower is fast and it has a really nice cut! When I started looking I initially wanted a 1025R with a drive-over auto connect deck. I'd still like to have a 1025r for work around the house/property.

Can you add the belly mower after the fact? My dealer told me the quality of the belly mower was crap and I should get the grooming mower. They also told me it’d take $1000s of to get one installed. Turns out, I was only told this when the store manager and service manager delivered my equipment, there was one on their lot just how I wanted. Well, after I weighed all the information provided to me, I went with a separate mower (X350). I’m totally disappointed in the information my dealer provided me and feel like they weren’t up to par with what the quality was or wanted to sell me an implement or riding mower. So frustrated right now!!! My mower and tractor have less than 1 hour on each of them. My tractor has the loader and the back how. Another sour taste was not listening to me as I they’ve had realized I need front third member and rear remotes. It is what it is. Thanks!

The mid mower sucks, everyone has problems with it only raising to 2.5-3". My X738 goes inches higher. Rear mower for the 1025 for sure.
