Imo this album is second worst for Thom's singing...purely because he has continued to hone and improve his vocals over the years! Amazing on this record, don't get me wrong.
Nude and Reckoner have as good of vocals (basement) as any Radiohead tunes, but The Bends has some of their best vocal performances. I love Bulletproof especially, but the whole album has great vocals.
@SquirrelSeb84 I think i prefer Pablo Honey. Mainly because I was deep into my grunge era at that time. Sure, they made better albums and Thom improved but I have more memories relating to PH
This was the first song I ever heard by Radiohead and was immediately obsessed with back in the 90s. I have a deep love for this band. Almost as much as I love Tool.
Radioheads last album A Moon Shaped Pool came out in 2016, they took a break after touring through 2018. Singer Thom and guitarist Jonny have a new project The Smile with drummer Tom Skinner, and have put out 3 albums and been touring now over the last few years.
I've seen them 4 times. Each an amazing experience...but if you do see them, don't expect to hear this song. They hate it and haven't played it live in over 20 years.
There's actually another video for this song that is the one I've always seen. It's an awesome video. Either way, the song is amazing. Try "I Might Be Wrong" or "Street Spirit" 😁☮️
I was obsessed with The Bends when it came out. So many great songs. Just is a good one - great video, Thom does his Mick Jagger impersonation in the music video.
Amazing band... As for music categories, i put them in Alternative Art Rock, Experimental Rock. This song has been used in a T.V. show called Cold Case and the movie 50/50. The list of movies that have Radiohead on the soundtrack is long.. Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz is amazing.
This is from The Bends, the album with Just and Street Spirit on it. I know Thom gets all the attention but y’all… Jonny Greenwood is a brilliant musician too. Such a pretty song. Definitely some bittersweet memories attached to this one. Planet Telex is my favorite from this album. Airbag and Subterranean Homesick Alien from Ok Computer are great as well. And hopefully you guys get to see Paranoid Android from Later with Jools Holland sometime. It is magnificent 😊
Gotta be King Of Limbs.. From the second i Saw Thom dancing on the Lotus Flower video and those first notes.. ordered it online seconds later(like my CDs

So glad you got back to Radiohead. So many songs to recommend but you will love the atmospheric "Pyramid Song" with ideally a lyric video that Smokey can get his analytical mind on. The highest compliment I can give is that it takes me to places usually only Pink Floyd can reach. For recent songs "Burn the Witch" which you have reacted to is from their last album "A Moon Shaped Pool" from 2016 and I would recommend the dreamy "Daydreaming" from that album.
Please more Radiohead! I'll be here for them like Ren and Nu Metal Mondays. 😊 Here's a couple of lists I made for Radiohead reactions on another channel. Delete what you've already done. :-) 1. Creep 2. Street Spirit 3. Karma Police 4. Paranoid Android 5. Every Thing in it's Right Place 6. How to Disappear Completely 7. Weird Fishes 8. Jigsaw Falling in to Place 9. Lotus Flower 10. Burn the Witch
1. My Iron Lung 2. No Surprises 3. The National Anthem 4. Exit Music 5. Pyramid Song 6. There, There 7. 2 + 2 = 5 8. Reckoner 9. Nude 10. True Love Waits
This song was on a movie “50/50” about a young guy who discovered he has a rare form of cancer with 50/50 survival rate. Great drama comedy about who will be by your side when your world turns upside down.
Radiohead are a genre unto themselves, each album has genre bending and blending all over it. People always say art-rock but to me they are progressive as hell even if they deny it. Geddy Lee from Rush and Rick Wakeman from Yes both love Radiohead and they both poked fun at Radiohead and said they're a prog-band whether or not they admit it.
He's singing to himself. You were spot on there. Many of these songs off this album were about his relationship with fame. The album's name, The Bends, alludes to a medical condition that occurs when a diver ascends toward the surface too quickly (ascending in fame) and the carbon dioxide expands too quickly. It can be deadly, as can quick fame. It refers to their career taking off immediately and significantly after Creep.
I haven't listened to you listen to this one yet, but I'm going to go ahead and recommend their song, Sit down Stand up. Ive been feeling that one lately.
if you check out them live you should check out any of the Glastonbury performances, I was at one in the 90's which was incredible, but I saw one on tv from their recent perforce there a few years back, this had a lot. more of their modern music, but was also a incredible live set.
Bro there is an amazing amount of content you can get out of Radioheads Ok Computer and next two albums. Seriously those 3 albums are some of the best music ever made. LETS OOG
You should check out something by The Smile, it's Thom and Johnny's new band. They're more experimental but still have great songs. Teleharmonic for starters
The case could easily be made for this to be the best album of the 90s...in case one thinks im a radiohead fanboy..ive got..2radiohead recordings..the Bends and King of Limbs..
Radiohead are Indie Music that IS their genre and they are at the forefront of it. A genre that comes from the UK and includes artists like The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, The Charlatans, The Smiths, New Order, Blur, Primal Scream and Oasis although Oasis are absolutely the bottom of the Indie barrel. Indie is short for Independent, as all the bands belong to smaller Independent record labels rather than the big major labels. It began in the latter half of the 80s into the 90s and is what we were doing over here while the US was bringing us Grunge and Alt Rock. Every single one of the bands I mentioned in my opinion are NECESSARY for you to check out to understand where 90s music came from, except fkn Oasis obviously as they are just CRAP. One admittedly incredible debut album then getting significantly more bland and just plain awful.
The Bends was Radiohead’s big bang. The beginning of something special
This whole album is a banger with probably Thom's best singing.
Imo this album is second worst for Thom's singing...purely because he has continued to hone and improve his vocals over the years! Amazing on this record, don't get me wrong.
Best Radiohead album in my books.
Nude and Reckoner have as good of vocals (basement) as any Radiohead tunes, but The Bends has some of their best vocal performances. I love Bulletproof especially, but the whole album has great vocals.

Legendary band with an unmistakable sound
Such an amazing song. Definitely on my bucket list to see Radiohead live.
Saw Thom last week. I wish it was Radiohead but you have to take what you get. Still, what a experience that I will never forget
Thom was amazing alone on stage 25th October. Reckoner was eerie.
We were in the 5th row!
I've seen them 4 times. Each an amazing experience...but if you do see them, don't expect to hear this song. They hate it and haven't played it live in over 20 years.
Fun Fact; My first kiss was to this song, Radiohead one of my favorite bands of all time
There's actually another video for this song that is the one I've always seen. It's an awesome video. Either way, the song is amazing.
Try "I Might Be Wrong" or "Street Spirit" 😁☮️
They've done Street Spirit 🤘
I was obsessed with The Bends when it came out. So many great songs. Just is a good one - great video, Thom does his Mick Jagger impersonation in the music video.

Climbing Up The Walls is an awesome song that nobody reacts to.
@ yes!!
You should see the version of this that guy did on The Voice Portugal. It is out of this world.
I’m GenX and have lost count of the concerts I have attended. RadioHead by far was the best!
"It's the best thing that you've ever had / The best thing you have had is gone away"
💛. Great job guys!
I adore this song!! The bends is one of my favorite albums: every song is a gem.
Guys please react to one of or both of the radiohead live at the basement sessions. They're so good live.
Gotta be King Of Limbs.. From the second i Saw Thom dancing on the Lotus Flower video and those first notes.. ordered it online seconds later(like my CDs

This was always one of my favourites from them
More Radiohead! True Love Waits live please.

Radiohead is such a great band. I think OK Computer is their best album but I Could Be Wrong.....
Might be wrong
This song was on a movie “50/50” about a young guy who discovered he has a rare form of cancer with 50/50 survival rate. Great drama comedy about who will be by your side when your world turns upside down.
Thom is doing solo acoustic tour, performing many solo songs and many Radiohead songs.
Look for the other video for this song. It is very different.
one of their (singable) best songs since Creep
Radiohead are a genre unto themselves, each album has genre bending and blending all over it. People always say art-rock but to me they are progressive as hell even if they deny it. been catching your videos for a few years. love you doing Radiohead!

That's my second favorite song on the album, but I really like the whole record.
@@jameshannagan4256 There, there
For my money, it's Radiohead's best song. Or at least the most criminally slept on.
This is such an awesome song.😊🎉🤘💯
Definitely need to do a couple more songs from paranoid Android and at least 1 or 2 from In Rainbows(preferably from the basement)
There were two videos made for this song. One had a suitcase bomb in a small town café
if you check out them live you should check out any of the Glastonbury performances, I was at one in the 90's which was incredible, but I saw one on tv from their recent perforce there a few years back, this had a lot. more of their modern music, but was also a incredible live set.
The genre is quite simply 'Greatness' or easy listening 🤣 Cheers
Check out the new Radiohead side project... The Smile. The song, the slip, has been on repeat for me since this new album came out recently
I f*cking love you guys, so open and free 🫶🤘
💛💛💛
Bilal does a great cover of this
Bro there is an amazing amount of content you can get out of Radioheads Ok Computer and next two albums. Seriously those 3 albums are some of the best music ever made. LETS OOG
Would be dope to see your thoughts on their evolution from the bends to where they are now.
Please react to kiss - lick it up
Guys, maybe give Weird Fishes - Live at the Basement by Radiohead a go. They really are amazing. Thanks.
MTV played the shit out of this song for like two years straight. Luckily, it didn't ruin it for me. Great tune.
You should check out something by The Smile, it's Thom and Johnny's new band. They're more experimental but still have great songs. Teleharmonic for starters
I always come for your reactions yet with Radiohead I don't even think but click
I got to see Thom Yorke in Osaka just last week. Best experience ever
😎👍
You’ve got to do Fake Plastic Trees. Best song on the album
Hannes from Sweden. Just saing. ❤️
The case could easily be made for this to be the best album of the 90s...in case one thinks im a radiohead fanboy..ive got..2radiohead recordings..the Bends and King of Limbs..
Fellas, did u forget about Peeping Tom?
Have you ever reacted to Jeff Buckley? He is or was😢🙏💔amazing.
High and Dry is by Def Leppard this sucks 😂 just kidding if ya enjoy this God Bless ya! But high and dry by Def Leppard is a true Banger!
Great song and one of my least favorite songs on the Bends. That's how amazing they are to me.
Time bomb French fries was a much, much better video.
