Great job on the video 👍We did the circuit in 2010 in kayaks. We took our time and did it in 8days/7nights. Wildlife was everywhere, big and small. You covered all the spots that we did so it was great to seeing them again. Unfortunately we didn’t have the best of weather in the first few days but I would love to do this again. We hung our carved paddles too !
Wow I did that 55 years ago, late summer in 68, there were no markers ,cabins or campsites ,otherwise it's the same ,I remembered many of the same spots ,I saw that mooses ancestor ,wow thanks for those memories, I didnt have a camera then. ❤😊❤
Great video! I did this circuit twice in the 80s while in the Boy Scouts. We were from California. The best adventures of my young life were on the Bowron Lake circuit. So much fun! Thank You for sharing!
That is awesome. Hopefully the Fall colors are out in full force for ya by then. Will be interesting and also kind of sad to see the destruction from this summers forest fires. Have fun and happy paddling. We already want to go back as well!
@@babbs286 pack light makes it easier on the portages, leave early mornings to have good pick of camp sites. Bring mosquito repellent for the west side.
Nice video but I would skip the music. As I did this circuit more than 20 years ago I was most touched bye the gentle silence. Would be nice if this could be transported via a clip.
Thanks for the comment Alfran. We are always striving towards trying to make better content. Better audio has been a particular focus as of lately, during filming and in editing. Hopefully some of our newer content and videos that are yet to come help capture that better. 😊
If you wanted to, could you bring a high efficiency cooler full of meat or would it not fit in the food caches? I went canoeing like that once and there's really nothing like steak and bacon on a sandbar in the middle of nowhere 🙂
You could. As long as campsites aren't too busy you shouldn't have an issue fitting it in the cache. Even if your not overly concerned about the weight of packing along a full cooler you still need to be mindful that Bowron limits 60lbs of gear in the canoe if your using a canoe cart. They are strict about this and they will be checking and weighing you in prior to your departure.
I’m currently planning our trip here- what would you say you wish you brought/ are extremely glad you had? I can see you have extra gear like chairs, I would appreciate any and all info/ suggestions! 🤗
So cool to see this loop again. My dad and I did this loop in the early 90's . Thank you for sharing this video.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks! That's too bad about the weather but sounds like you had a good time anyways. Better luck next time!

My brother and I did this at 13yrs & 16yrs back around 1997. Awesome experience. Thanks for sharing yours.

I paddled this circuit in 1976.
Nice to revisit it again.
Fantastic, great work putting this video together of one of my favorite places on earth. Makes me so happy to see people enjoying and sharing it
Nicely done! Thanks
nice edit
Great video. 👍
Do you know what “s4s” means to a woodworker? “Smooth four sides “.
Interesting. Didn't know that!
Great video overall!
Nice video.. We did the circuit in June also. It was our first canoe trip. We loved it so much, we are doing in again the last week of September.

Going on my first canoe trip this July to Bowron Lakes. Any advice?

great video of your adventure. what are the specs (model/length/weight/material) of your clipper canoe?
It's a "Clipper Tripper".
Kevlar composite, 17'6", 58lbs
@@Searching4Solitude thank you
What do y’all recommend for your freeze dried meals?!?
We prefer the "Backpacker's Pantry" brand.
Nice - we are planning a trip for the last week in June this year. Where would you take a layover day? Any preferences?
Absolutely fantastic video on the Bowron Lakes. What Canoe cart brand were you using? Thanks from Woodinville WA
Thanks. Its the Expedition Canoe Cart from Clipper/Western Canoe and Kayak. They are available for rent from BC parks.

Also did you make that sail you used? Or is it sold as a sail? Was it helpful (and I should plan to bring one?) also best lakes/ areas to fish?
Another question, so sorry. Where did you get the map you’re showing us in the video at 6:24??
Wanna sell that beauty canoe?
