I had the pleasure of meeting this amazing trumpeter in Trondheim, Norway. As well as being an incredible performer, he is a really nice guy! :)

The piece is originally written for corno di caccia (hunting horn).

Please post his recording of the Haydn....he is one of the truly greats. His tone and musicianship can't be bettered.

the piece is originally written for post-horn, not for hunting horn that hasn't valve...

Unexcelled tone..ideal musicianship and wonderful (diaphragmatic?) vibrato. Is there not a recording of Arban's Carnival of Venice by Antonsen? It would be great to hear it. One of the world's truly great trumpeters.

This tune doesn't demonstrate his virtuosity at all, or much else. Poor score, great player.

This tune demonstrates so much it is sick... keep listening, you'll hear it one day.

Remember: virtuosity isn't everything. The most important thing in music is music.
