Your dedication to both the channels is amazing, thank you for letting us travel around the world with you both. Hope you guys are keeping safe from the heatwave that's across Europe! Take care!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
The statue at 30:00 might look weird, but it is actually rome's version of the Nativity scene, depicting Romulus and Remus being raised by the capitoline Wolf
Thanks for sharing!
I loved all the themed areas of Greece, Rome etc when I visited this park many years ago.
This park has so much potential especially with some of the best overall theming iv'e seen at a park in Europe and the many shows / entertainment they operate. The closed Wooden Coaster needs to be turned into an RMC that would be a good start, this park could potentially be another PortAventura with some investment and the addition of a couple Major Rollercoasters. A B&M Hyper would look amazing amongst the mountains and views over Benidorm or a B&M Dive Coaster.
Or just turn it In a good wooden coaster not every thing have to be turned in a painful rmc
Personally I think a Mack Rides hypercoaster would be good
100% has the potential to be one of the best in the world. Hopefully someone will put some money into it
This park has so much potential!
This park has so much potential. Used to love going as a kid, say to see iconic rides like Magnus Collosus closed 😢
You both are lovely, I have enjoyed the video a lot, as always.
Some things about the park:
-When it opened in 2000 they wanted it to be a direct competitor to Disneyland Paris when it comes to theming and inmerdive attractions.
-The piramide used to be a dark ride, a kind of weird elevator with many technical issues. Years later they made a pay-scare maze and now a days is a bussines meeting zone wich you can rent it and make events.
-The walkthrough used to be a boat ride (dark ride) with a worker sitting on each boat telling you the storie. Years later they changed the boats to circular ones like the rapids and then they close it.
-La furia de Triton used to have a waterfall yes, and soundtrack through the tunnels.
-Magnus colossus was the roughtest and nore uncomfortable ride I have been on.
-The SLC used to be in the Iberian area and was called Tizona.
-Yeard ago Aqualandia (the waterpark in Benidorm) bought the patk but they are struggling. Parques Reunidos wanted to buy it.
It used to be my favorite park but unfortunately I saw how they killed it with the years. My dream is that a big company (or at least Parques Reunidos) comes and invest money on it to make it great again. It has got SO MUCH potential on the right hands...
Grettings to both of you, I love your channel and your positive energy...
Thanks for sharing! We had a fun visit!
Can you describe what the elevator ride inside of the pyramid was I can’t find any videos or pictures of it before it got turned into the scare maze
Great info about the park, very interesting to read.
Que buenos datos
It’s suspected that the Mondial supernova IS the old Boneshaker from Alton Towers which was heavily refurbished
Wow I knew nothing about that dark ride ! Looks amazing even from just watching the POV, looks scary too like a modern trackless Ghost Train
Hi Andy u still have the 🐕
@@Joey33641 yep of course
The dark ride is excellent and definitely the highlight of the park!
What an amazing theme park and fantastic atmosphere
I wish I can have summer vacation at Spain 2024
As a Valencian i have to say glad to see this vlog. Thanks for come to Terra Mitica❤💛❤💛❤💛❤
Literalmente, los propios españoles hundimos a terra mitica al solamente criticarlo en vez de apoyarlo
@@darkkatze5885Lo hundieron los politicos corruptos. 😅😅
Thank you!
@@aaronblashyrkh7655 seh, per ahora lo hundimos nosotros criticando cada minima cosa que intentan hacer xd
Having watched the whole vlog now, I distinctly remember an odyssey themed boat dark ride (edit: googled it, it was El Rescate de Ulisesor in the Islands area) or at least general greek myth themed, I remember the guy trying to push a boulder up a hill and my dad explaining what myth it was from, and there was all sorts of other things and it was a little scary at that age but also really cool. The second time I came here it was sectioned off behind a separate paygated area and now I’m guessing it’s been removed entirely which really is a shame. It was a quality dark ride
Thanks for sharing!
The statue is the twins Romulus and Remus, who founded Rome and were bought up by a wolf
This park holds a special place in my heart, since that wooden coaster is the very first coaster I have ever ridden! I was very scared of coasters, but my brother convinced me to ride Colossus and I fell in love. The hanging coaster was my second coaster, went on immeddiately after the woody. You can actually see where it used to be at 28:22, there is a clearing behind the drop tower. That’s where it was. Thank you for sharing this vlog. Brought back so many memories. Amazing.
Thanks for sharing!
It was the first coaster I ever rode too!
This brought back massive memories, from when I was about 3 (I’m now 26) my mum and grandparents took me here every summer for around 10 years until we stopped going to Benidorm, this park started my love for theme parks due to how heavily themed it is and now travel the world to see the best theme parks out there, I remember how busy it is used to be and how painful colossus was which is probably why it’s closed. The shows were always great and the pyramid used to be a scare maze. Thanks for covering Terra Mitica, will need to go back again soon for the memories!
Thanks for sharing!
I went on that wooden coaster about 10 years ago, very rough, come off in so much pain. Not surprised to see it closed!
That is an absolutely beautiful park, a little sad that large coaster is SBNO and that the park seemed to not be too busy during the middle of summer. Would still really like to visit some day.
We had a fun visit and would definitely recommend the park!
I rode colossus about 10 years ago. The roughest woody I’ve ever been on. Shook my spine so much on the biggest drop I though my back was going to break 🤣🤣.
My only purpose in life, is to watch clips of Charlotte on water rapids 😄😄😄
Brilliant!
The highlight of every TPW for me is a Charlotte rapid reaction 😂❤ love ypu both!!!! ❤
Thank you!
The wooden coaster is SBNO for a good reason. I rode it many years ago while at Uni. To say it was the roughest, most painful ride I've ever experienced is an understatement. It actually had permanent medical staff present to deal with neck and back injuries. Sorry to say but you didn't miss much with it being closed.
I have vivid memories of that being a bone shaker to the extreme
I remember riding it many years ago!
That is what's known as the RCCA experience
Such a shame. It looks magnificent and would have cost a fortune to build. Hopefully it can be saved, like Shawn said, can be converted to newer model.
Great to see you professional positive review, I watched Walk with me Tim vlogg and he was so negative, you really do appreciate what these countries have to offer, the fact it’s a whole theme park to enjoy on a sun holiday away
Thanks for watching. We had a fun day and loved the theming here!
I absoloutely love terra mittika, they just need to either get that Magnus collosus back open, or give it rmc treatment. Great vlog!
We had such a fun day!
Great park love the themed areas looked like a great time was had ❤Lisa
The theming was lush!
I think if a bigger company would get this this can turn out as one of the best parks in Spain, that lake view screens for a pegasse express like gerstlauer, RMC the woodie and add in rides, park looks solid and better than expected
It could be indeed!
It used to be owned by Paramount at the same time as Port Aventura was owned by Universal!
That park looked amazing
Thanks for another amazing video
Love you 2 ❤❤
Thanks for joining us!
Thank you for this vlog, one of my first parks back in 2003. The SLC used to be called Tizona and was in the Iberia section. It was Yellow when it first opened in 2003.
Magnus Colossus was great, the double down was a blast albeit a bit painful from what I can remember.
There is a strange ride in the Pyramid building which may still be there.
Thank you for the vlog, great to re-live!
Thanks for watching and sharing your memories!
So pleased to see a full and fair review of the park. Looking forward to seeing around Benidorm with your adventures to see if we might be tempted....
Thank you. We had a great time!
Benidorm looks to be a major city, but I have never heard of it before!
Colossus was the first rollercoaster I ever rode. My dad dragged me on kicking and screaming. When I got off I was ecstatic and full of adrenaline and my love for rollercoasters began. So happy you've visited Terra Mitica and took me down memory lane, I'm really glad you went to check the place out. Also, I have a credit you two don't? That's wild! Thanks for going guys!
Its such a good and great park with some good rides im very impressed
We had a fun time!
First drop tower I went on there years ago looks the same. And that wooden coaster was really fast what I remember. Good vid guys 😁
Me and my boyfriend visited this theme park last month when we were in Benidorm and I thought myself how quiet it was and we were there on a Saturday! Such a shame, the show was incredible and the rides they have are pretty fun too!!! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Great vid
This park seems to have so much potential. Personally, I'd put in a Mack Hypercoaster like DC Rivals in Australia, as the views from the top would be breathtaking, and the park seems to be large enough to build a ride of this scale. I'd also like to see maybe a highly themed B&M Dive coaster with some terrain work, as I think the park could theme it really well. There's just so much potential!
Yeah, it was a massive project when it first opened back in the day, but the park has been dead for many years now. Highly doubt they would ever invest in any major coasters.
@@joepublicnpc8998Aw, that's a pity, isn't it. It would be nice to see some rejuvenation for the park.
I rode Magnum Colossus in Aug 2014 and that was a ride worthy of the name Boneshaker!
It is a shame theyve just left it to rot, but heres hoping its saved and reopened 🤞
The park was so busy, such a pity to see it so empty. Great vlog as always guys ❤️
OMG FINALLY I HAVE REQUESTED THIS THEME PARK FOR SO LONG IM SO HAPPY YOU HAVE BEEN
Strong agree with your review of the SLC. I was expecting it to be painful (especially considering it was relocated) but I was pleasantly surprised!
It wasn’t too bad at all!
I feel like if they could get that woodie open somehow then this park could do really well. The theming is incredible and they have some really high quality attractions, it’s just trying to get people to actually visit
Definitely!
My favourite theme park
I've just got back from Alton towers.. and now i have smiler DRIP plus I faced my fear of inversions
Remember this place so well. Did ride Collossus quite a few years back and my god it was a bone shaker. Thanks for this Vlog.
My grandad used to stay in Spain . I’ve been to terra mitica twice and got to ride colossus such a great coaster
Still looks the same from 2001, We went on the woody back then and the view is great up there still as I remember with hardly any people and tidy 👍
That's a great Rapids ! You went on one recently that was SO quick & so short. This one is great.
Ive been to Terra Mitica twice in 2011 when Magnus Colossus was open and again in 2018 and both times id done everything there was to do in just four hours!
Looks a good park , we went to Aqualandia but next time i will book to go to this, the view point tower looks a good attraction to go on , and the sky flyer, great vlog x
It's lovely to see you guys vlog this park, as it's a rare one. I visited here back in 2005 just for a day and the 2 rides I remember are the drop tower and Magnus Collosus. I hadn't been to many theme parks then so these were my first woodie and first drop tower. I remember loving Magnus, it was fast and forceful, but I do also remember the banging headache I had once I got off, so it must have been a boneshaker! Not quite Coaster Express level though... 😂😂
Thanks for joining us!
Thank you so much for showing us this park. It really is one of the most beautiful, themed and planned layout, and would be "complete" if the woodie was open.
Thank you for watching!
Always wanted to go to benidorm, i love the series, watched it several times. I would love to visit and this park looks cool too.
We loved the tv series so much!
When i was there it took my breath away with all the theme hope to go back there
Hi Shawn and Charlotte, Walk with me Tim done a vlog from here the other week. I'd never heard of it before then . Looks like it could be something really good in the right hands. Loving the Spain trip it looks so lovely out there compared to wet and windy UK. Thankyou for sharing with us. Love to you both as always Tracey 💕 xxxx ps I love you both you always make me smile 😊 xxxx
Love all your videos from Tenerife ❤❤❤
Thank you!
awesome vlog
Thanks!
Rode colossus years ago was a great ride. There used to be an attraction in the pyramid if remember rightly was a mirror maze
Nice to see Charlotte is getting more comfortable with the flats, even during your USA trip I was impressed with the amount of flats that she did. Keep up the good work guys loving the constant content, loving the channel also!
Thank you!
Cool.
Thank you for a great video guys, brings back great memories of Terra Mitica for me. Don't remember the rapids ride though last time so maybe a new addition, and a lot of the rides weren't open. Enjoyable day out though, but as you said more coasters would be great and get the wooden Coaster back open.
Thank you!
I just love the way you continue your commentary throughout the ride 15:45
Thank you!
This is the first vlog of this park that’s made me actually visit, looks a fun place. Charlotte’s face on the rapids 😂
We had a great time!
Have been to Beni many times always thought about going to this park but never have will make effort next time..cheers fir another great vid
It’s definitely worth a visit!
I don’t know if it still does it but, when it opened, because of the trackless system, the dark ride had it where, depending on how well you were doing at the ride, the ride path would be change throughout, emphasising how it was supposed to be a labyrinth.
The theming here is amazing
We loved it!
I remember Magnus Colossus it was rough but so much fun, long ride too so was always the highlight of the day. An RMC up on that mountain would be sick! Titande used to be Tizona with the queue under the temple bits which was better than it is now, they also used to have two family coasters mirrored like a bull chase through a hedge maze which was awesome. It's sad to see the parks decline but am so happy to see it's still going and hope so much for a bright future!!
Thanks for sharing!
soooo excited to watch this will reply to this with my favourite part 🎉
Thanks for watching!
The woody isn't the most thrilling coaster but the location makes it so special. Gutted to see it closed
I was in benidorm a few months ago for my birthday! Raining it! Family hated it but still lovely!!
We loved Benidorm!
Charlotte getting soaked on the rapids was hilarious.
I haven’t been to this park in a while, this vlog has reminded me that I need to do a revisit. 😄
It use to get quite busy, maybe people didn’t bother because of the heatwave and the lack of shade. Hopefully that’s the case and not the fact that it doesn’t draw the crowds anymore.
We had a fun day!
Awesome vid you pair ..! Love a park that’s got animatronic rats with green eyes … summer fun with Charlotte on the rapids …. SOAKED 😂
I went to aqualandia in benidorm in summer 2014/15. I remember seeing this park off the main road
"Light sprinkle" 😂👍🏾
great vlog not been beni for a few years and never got there when i did go i’ll have to give it a go 😀
You guys never stop uploading!
Thanks for your support!
I got to ride Colossus when I visited the park when I was younger. It was a really rough ride and it hurt all the way through lol. Hopefully they get it up and running again at some point- and if so I'd hope it to be much smoother (or as mentioned in the video, make it an RMC) 👍
It would be great to see!
The scaremaze used to be a mini rapids ride similar to thr gruffalo at chessington, it was really good actually from what i remember. I agree with everyone else in the comments though, some investment in this park could make it one of the best in the world!
Thanks for sharing!
The statue in the Rome area is of Romulus and Remus, the twin brothers and founders of Rome raised by a she-wolf. 😊 Nicely themed Park. 😊
Love a good fountain package 2:55
I believe the park was originally owned but Paramount., we went on Collusus and it was, a bit of a bone shaker but fun with a fun layout.. The park is well kept and themed well. My daughter luved the dark ride Minotaur, the slc was a bit klanky. But not too busy OK for re rides and stay ons 🎉 They used to have a fab Pirate show too...
Thanks for the content brings back our family memories ❤
Thanks for sharing!
Excellent video Shawn and Charlotte from a visit to Terra Mítica located in Benidorm, Spain! In this vlog, we share on ride povs from all of the major rides at the park, including the 3 different roller coasters on offer, along with the water rides. We take you on a tour of this beautifully themed park, experience the awesome interactive dark ride, and much more! keep the god videos coming on the channel. 😀😎👍👍
Great Vlog as always Shawn and Charlotte
Thank you!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide you’re welcome
Correction Shaun, the Boneshaker at Terra Mitica is in fact the one from Alton Towers. Surprised you didn't catch that in your research, would have added a little extra to your ride!
Looking forward to the Benidorm vlog on your other channel 😊
Thank you. It’ll be coming up!
Hello from the UK !
I used to live in Benidorm so had season passes to TM. Colossus was a painful rollercoaster to ride. Even 10 years ago this park was never really busy with many of the food places never opening. At one point you had to pay separately to go to the side of the park with the observation tower and the rapids which I don’t think help with crowd levels. We found that food options were limited. The inverted coaster used to be at the other side of the park and then moved to its current location-it was fitted with VR headsets at one point but always suffered from tech issues. We always found it clean and was a nice afternoon out to cool down on the water rides. THere also used to be paddalos in the lake at the entrance. Such a shame this park obviously has funding issues-I don’t think nothing new has been added for at least 5 or 6 years. The scare walk through used to be a very boring water ride type attraction. Looking forward to the Benidorm vlog on your other channel.
Thanks for sharing!
I love your videos, but to say that the dark ride was "Absolutely fantastic" and "One of the best dark rides in Europe" made me chuckle. I've been on travelling fun fair dark rides better than that, it was embarrassingly bad. Each to their own though, loving the videos. Keep up the great work.
It’s a great ride in our opinion, however everyone has different opinions which is always awesome!
Spanish park with 200 guests and day and zero queues- "welcome guests, we are open longer than you guys can stay awake"
UK parks with two hour queues on everything- "it's 4pm guys shouldnt you be in bed, get out"
Ive actually been on that wooden coaster and it's so fun (very very shaky but i love that haha) me and my sister have a picture of my dad with his hair all stuck up due to the insane force of the ride lol
I rode the wooden coaster which was stunning, the park stayed open until midnight!! So several night rides. Sadly they were having financial trouble back then. It looked stunning at night especially the lagoon. But without the big coaster it has lost its attraction. It could be so much more
Shawn you should look into tivoli world in Spain. The park shut in covid but some contact law does not allow the staff to leave so they go in still now to maintain the rides in the hope one day it will open. I'm sure they would show you round as they want to get their situation in the press
24:57 Please correct me if I’m wrong Shawn but I’m sure that is Engergizer/Boneshaker relocated from the Towers.
An SLC and a Zacspin... this park could really do with a Volare to complete an unholy trinity! Or more sensibly, I could see a single rail coaster fitting in well here, or a new Vekoma... you just wonder where and when the next investment is coming from though. But it's a great location!
Fond memories of this park, it's one of the reasons I fell in love with theme parks, we used to visit every year whilst on holiday when I was younger but not been since about 2013. It honestly has so much potential with the right management, shame to see it so quiet in such a popular holiday destination.
Sadly one of my worst theme park experiences came when I was about 13 and so fixated by magnus colossus watching it go round through the wooden fencing, I failed to realise that the queue was moving, my family went on the ride without me not realising that I hadn't followed them in the queue, I got lost on my own for ages and never got to ride. Would love it to reopen so that I can get the credit and complete the redemption arc 😂
Thanks for sharing!
I have been twice, once the year after it opened, the other about 11 years ago. At first it used to be at least 20% bigger, the theming from the start was always EPIC, and they had planned a lot of large queues and space to expand. But it was never busy, too few rides, very hilly and was always quiet even at peak season. 2nd time, with the reduction of part of the park to a villas. The castmembers were joking about how that was a ghost town. Still didn't draw the crowds. As much as Colossus was supposed to be the Big draw, it was very VERY bumpy and rattly. Way to uncomfortable so never was the big draw ride. All the others rides, which weren't enough of them and good enough, couldn't draw the tourists off the beach. Surprised it still is running.
Thanks for sharing!
I love your videos I got a photo with you on jumanji opening at chessington
22:45 LOLLL
Be honest Shawn. You really went there for the water rides!
Inferno was one of the most painful coasters I’ve ever been on 😭
This is my home park :(. We have a nice park, but we need a good coaster
great vlog shawn i just heared that the first of the supports of the new roller coaster have arrived at thorpe park and drayton manor announced the manufacturer of the new family thrill roller coaster is going to be intamin
Thank you! Very exciting times ahead!
I visited the year Magnus it went SBNO so I just missed it! The location is amazing, with investment this park has so much potential
It does indeed!
I can’t understand why this park has had so many financial problems over the years. I went to this park about 15 years ago and loved it
We had a great day too!
Those waterfalls were perfectly timed for poor Charlotte
Mannn colossus looks so good 😢
