Best of Bond : 20 Bond Bloopers
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- There's a good reason why Bond films have remained so successful over the years and become the longest running movie series ever. The shaken combination of girls, stunts, gadgets, exotic locations, characters, and more have created a cocktail the world cannot get enough of.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Ian Fleming's (the creator of Bond) birth and, as a way to celebrate this occasion, I count down the 20 best moments of Bond, starting this week with Bond Bloopers.
Everything 007 related (c) Danjaq, LLC, United Artists Corporation, Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc
007 and related James Bond trademarks are Trademarks of Danjaq, Inc
These aren't bloopers, they are more along the lines of movie mistakes.
... "nitpickers guide for Bond" Phil Farrand
Living Daylights, and by extension, Timothy Dalton, get a bad rap. It's actually quite a solid Bond film; the last of the Cold War era.
+kev3d Dalton has never been bad in anything. He's a fine actor.
+textthing better suited for Shakespeare I think
+kev3d Both Dalton films sucked (IMHO). Which is odd because he's such a good actor and Carey Lowell was so hot.
The films aren't great in general anyway. It's pretty much wish-fulfilling fantasy, so that goes with the territory.
Dalton is my favourite Bond and TLD is one of my favourite Bond films too
Wouldn't Die Another Day be the biggest Bond blooper?
*This bloopers are some of the funniest things I have ever seen and just makes bond even better*
I didn't spot a single blooper in here but......m'kay
Choppers really can't hover with the nose down. The rotors would pull it forward, like a propeller on an airplane.
+STRIKERDelta2387 Those are movie mistakes, bloopers are when the cast or something goes wrong whilst recording, unintentionally.
STRIKERDelta2387 you stupid spoilt brat.
Blow me, fuckstick.
Looks like STRIKER can't handle being wrong . . . hahaha!
That Chatterbox one from For Your Eyes Only was hilarious. I haven't seen every Bond movie yet, but I'm looking hard for them.
It's nice to know there are similar Bond fans out there. =)
We watched that last night and pointed it out and that drew me to looking up other 007 mistakes and coming across this video!
J. Bond has always been my Favorite Hero , except for My Dad.
These aren't bloopers, they're physics and continuity errors. As for the submarine car, there's no reason why she would think it was the one she stole the blueprints for until after they crash in the water and then she realizes it once it transforms, so of course she would have an initial moment of panic.
No, I think that she just thought James was going to try to boink her, and Ringo wouldn't have liked that.
What's next? Showing us space movies were no one is floating and 'revealing' to us that it's not actually shot in space?
number 6 is not a blooper. Bond's car when locked provides a very handy anti theft feature. When unlocked, the system goes away, leaving poor James defenseless. Makes a hell of a good chase.
He suggests to Melina to "speak only when necessary", but he then keeps talking nonsense
Glad someone else gave recognition to The Living Daylights as one of the best Bond films; both of Dalton's films are two of my favourites ;D
Scrummy64 I agree. I think Licence to Kill is outstanding, both as a film and in Dalton's portrayal. Although there is very little I'd change about Goldeneye, I'd have liked to have seen Dalton in the part as originally intended (it was written with him in mind).
I think the "renegade Bond" premise of LICENSE TO KILL is pretty stupid. But the tanker truck finale is good.
+Porfle Popnecker Why do you think its stupid out of curiosity? I think it makes for a nice change personally. Bond on the loose! It's also well justified in the film, given the attack on Leiter and murder of his wife, both close to Bond, and MI6 standing in the way of him avenging their suffering. Bond going rogue was pretty cool I thought.
(1) Bond gets away with doing things in this movie that he would never be forgiven for by MI6. (2) Bond does things in this movie that are completely out of character for him, revenge or no revenge. (3) Bond keeps using elaborate gadgets at a time when he has no access to Q Branch.
Also, the Dalton Bond, for some reason, hates being a double-O agent, saying things like "Stuff my orders. If M fires me, I'll thank him for it." While he might get fed up with things now and then, Bond was never supposed to hate his job.
Fair enough. I completely disagree, but then I love Dalton's portrayal. He doesn't hate being a 00 agent though, he is simply preoccupied with something he feels is more important (seeking revenge). He doesn't actually do that much against MI6, aside from when he made his escape after handing over his weapon (for which they tried to take him out); he spends the rest of the film focused on Sanchez.
The whole point of the film is that Bond is out by himself, but it's Q who comes out to him (and supplies him with the necessary gadgets). I'm not sure what he does that is particularly out of character, but in terms of the different Bond portrayals they are different from each other and do things their predecessors / successors wouldn't have done. It has kept the character fresh and certainly helped the series longevity.
Helicopters can't physically hover like that..... unless they are held back by superman! Love it!! =)
Onlybond stupid is not bloopers change thumbnail
Yes, Lazenby was underrated. He could have grown on people if he'd stuck around for more movies. OHMSS is one of the BEST Bond films ever made. Connery made two comebacks, Diamonds Are Forever, and Never Say Never Again, bringing his total to 7 movies. Same as Moore's record.
These aren't bloopers, they are mistakes
W2dot - These are good.
"The Spy Who Loved Me" - Yeah, her reaction here always bothered me. If she'd already scene the blueprints for the car, then why did she panic when Bond drove into the water? Unless, to give her the benefit of the doubt, she didn't realize it was the submarine-car until after Bond shows off its features. (But that's giving the movie way too much credit.)
"Thunderball" - both scenes you pick out here are good catches - they always bother me when I see the film.
The guy who made this & called it "bloopers" is the fly that bugged me.
i totally agree with you, TLD is one of the best bonds. i also like dalton as bond. i think he's underrated.
I read a book on the history of Bond and took everything into great detail about every film - the stuntman said it was the most terrifying stunt he'd ever performed
Simply not very or even remotely funny.
What happened was that they overdubbed him saying MI6 with him saying MI7, apparently for legal reasons
No, he's the founder of MI7. The one where Johnny English will later become an agent for.
I am like the only Bond fan that likes Diamonds Are Forever. It wasn't great, and could & should of been much better since OHMSS but still, I like it in a way.
It's a guilty pleasure for me. Barry's score makes it much more enjoyable than it really is
He says "Three more ticks and Goldfinger would've hit the jackpot"
James Bond can be so overrated.
These aren't "bloopers" so much as "continuity issues" ... this video should be re-titled.
Or re-cycled.
Well, we know it's a load of old bollocks at times but we love the action. But thanks for pointing out the crap.
No matter how many bloopers, I still love James Bond.
same
I got as far as the first 7 seconds, it's not worth the effort to watch the rest.
I'm not sure you actually know what a blooper is
+Carbon Gamer He don't care as long as He gets hits on his site LOL
Cool vid. My only disagreement here is the FYEO. The transition from night to day is not completely unbelivable thanks to the shot that is clearly early morning and they are higher up for the daylight shots so it could be brighter there.
In reference to YOLT: One thing that is almost always wrong is POV of binoculars and surveilence cameras and such. It's not that the POV is slightly off ... it's usually waaay off ... and/or a dolly/steadycam shot.
I can't play the cello, but I saw an interview with Miriam in which she said she had to learn to get that piece right. Looks like she conned me there!
Many of these are not bloopers they are inended..
Demew Rubbish.
And you actually missed a much better "where's the camera"-moment (also in YOLT). During the last capture attempt of a spaceship, Bond is watching it from Blofeld's control room. They have external shots of the SPECTRE-ship and the target in orbit on their monitors... so does that mean they launched satellites with cameras beforehand just so they could watch from an external POV?
Entertaining. Of course, I know you know about the Mustang in "Diamonds Are Forever" being driven on two wheels tilted to one side as it slides through the alley...only to re-appear from the alley on its opposite side.
The film makers knew about the mistake...but didn't want to spend time correcting it. Though they inserted a quick moment of Bond and Tiffany Case leaning one way in the car, and then shifting their positions as the Mustang allegedly changes sides. But, it's still crap.
w2dot - two more for you:
"You Only Live Twice" - Henderson serves Bond a martini and says (paraphrased) "That's stirred not shaken. Did I get that right?" Bond takes a sip and says, "Perfect." ....Ugh! Wouldn't Connery know by his 5th Bond movie that Henderson had it reversed?
"A View To A Kill" - Bond looks bewildered as May Day parachutes off the Effiel Tower. His reaction is all wrong. Bond is no stranger to using a parachute as a method for escape. It shouldn't surprise him.
Yeah. See, for instance, Moonraker really, REALLY felt like a Bond film, and if you get the past the fact that they're in space, it's a very formulaic adventure. That's not to say it's bad, but still.
But Licence to Kill had a much more serious and realistic tone, since Bond was in it to avenge Felix Leiter. Not to mention the villain, Sanchez, is a very easygoing and unassuming guy. I really liked that.
Connery and Moore were the best . Moore did 7 movies and lasted 13 yrs while Connery did 6 movies over 9 years. Connery was the original. Moore was sophisticated, debonair, and charming than any of the others. Nobody could match that. There was still cheese and some poor writing in some of those Moore movies but regardless he was an excellent Bond.
They filmed it as MI6, overdubbed as MI7, out of sensitivity to the actual secret service.
I don't suppose any of you noticed Bond had a different Beretta from the books, that they gave him a .380 and called it a .32, and that the movie posters were posed with an air gun because they didn't have a prop Walther handy? ;)
You missed THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER MADE in ANY movie -- Diamonds are Forever, car chase... Bond must drive through a narrow ally, and gets the car to lean over on two wheels to fit in the width of the alley way... Goes in leaning on the PASSENGER side and comes out the alley on the DRIVER'S side. I can't understand how any competent continuity person could miss THAT one!
Okay - one more in the before-mentioned-scene of YOLT between Henderson and Bond. Henderson asked Bond if he'd ever been to Japan before. Bond replies, "No, never." But in FRWL, Bond tells Tatiana - while tape recording their conversation via a camera - that "Once, when I was with M in Tokyo..."
Oops.
@murdoc562 -
Actually, Connery does say "three more ticks." That's in the script. But after Connery filmed the scene, either the director (Guy Hamilton) or one of the producers (Harry Saltzman) came up with the idea of having the counter read: 007.
Thus, the counter reading and what Bond says are different.
The BMW never mentions bullets. It says "Pedestrians in roadway". But the mistake is more to do with why didn't the bad guys use all that weaponary earlier. But setting of the car park scene was changed throughout filming which would have explained the indestructible garage door. But TND is a pretty big mess so it doesn't really matter...
Couple of things: Connery did say "3 more ticks" in Goldfinger. There are 2 cuts of this movie - the original showed the bomb clock as 003 but later they re-cut it to show 007 to give us a good old 007 joke. One of the best/worst bloopers is in Thunderball in the underwater fight scenes. Bond loses his blue face mask & takes a black one off a dead body. Moments later he has the blue one again! There are loads more for those bothered to look, or if you've seen them all as many times as I have!
Okay great tribute. 1:44..Plenty O'tool is smoking hot! I hate how they threw her out a window then killed her in a pool....next ..0:06 to 0:07..EPIC faceplant! LOLOL and finaly..? The chick at 1:20 is the original Alice in Wonderland!.. Little Alice all grown up now.
RE.: Goldfinger- countdown: It was originally shot with 003 remaining on the counter, but at the last minute they decided to change it to 007 for laughs. Appearantly, nobody bothered to adjust the dialogue accordingly (or Sean Connery wasn't available to do it.. I don't remember).
There's three people in the bathroom when Bond says "Sorry Felix...007..." - Bond Felix and Quist. Quist later reports to Largo who throws him in the shark pool. So either Quist is stupid or didn't hear anything. Either way, Felix deserves to punch Bond back ^^
If you watch the film, you'll notice a scene in between showing the car changing sides, which was added when someone noticed the mistake. The car exited on its left wheels because they had to do that scene multiple times and somewhere along the line, they forgot that it entered on its right wheels.
Another one that could've made it in is from Live and Let Die, when Bond burns Rosie Carver's hand with a cigar, and she shows no sign of pain in any subsequent scenes.
It must've been hard choosing only 20 from all these scenes, huh?
You sound so ignorant right now. Bond WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO SMILE. Pick up an Ian Fleming Bond novel and then come back to me. Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig are by far the most accurate on-screen portrayals of the character.
Every Bond movie is nothing but two hours of bloopers. But the biggest one of all was TWINE, in which we were supposed to believe Denise Richards was not only a nuclear scientist, but in fact, an actress.
It's a bit hard to spot in this video, it's clearer on the dvd. Basically if you look carefully, the man in the car (who is dark haired and middle aged) when Pola gets in is not General Gogol (who has white hair)
I believe bloopers are supposed to be mistakes done by the actors or crew by accident and then the person or persons showing they just realized what they've done. Not mistakes put into the movie to make the movie.
The car in TND is activated with some sort of barrier when it is locked, but when the car is unlocked and driving, the bullets can penetrate because the barrier is not activated. So it isn't really a blooper.
Have you noticed in the start of Goldeneye when Bond is jumping off a dam, theres cars and people on the dam, they wasn't there when he jumped off...
There are also the laser sounds in space in "Moonraker", and the water masks: in every scene filmed under the water Bond loses his one, then takes the mask of a dead fellow pretending to see with it!
Most of these are not bloopers at all. In fact, quite a few of these simply require suspension of disbelief for the sake of entertainment, such as the helicopter scene in "Tomorrow Never Dies."
I think you should really rename this something like Bond movie mistakes or whatever, bloopers give the total wrong impression to people
lol a what? a hypocrite is someone who acts in contradiction to what he says or tells others to do.. lucky you're from the UK otherwise I would have said you should know better..
That's funny at 2.04 ---One girl speaking in "Thai" but another in "Chinese", and in the movie it seems like they can understand each other.....I'm Thai, so I know how weird that is. ha ha
The FYEO one had me laughing out loud. Well done!
yeah if there should be a shitty Bond movie, it eould be Die Another Day, not The Living daylights or On Her Majesty's Secret Service, the 2 most underrated films in the series!
No, I think the author was right to miss that scene as all of us Bond fans would know it anyway!
Actually, you would actually spell 'venkir' because you would only ever enter the number once.
you missed the best one where bond drives his car into an alley on two wheels on the left hand side then comes out the right side.
OMG, the car chase one in For Your Eyes Only ALWAYS confused me as a kid. I'd always be like, "Wait---so it's daytime again? Wtf..."
your video clips were way too quick and should have been supported with visual graphics pointing the flaws. Very poorly constructed video and the audio was too quiet.
The passwords before and after are clearly different, and while he could've changed the password, it's highly unlikely because it wouldn't fit in with the rest of the story
You know, I never even thought about those bloopers. Whenever I watch a Bond movie, I kust watch it to see Bond kick some ass. But your obsevations are very amusing.
#4 oh my god! i watched that movie yesterday and didn't even grin, but with the subtitles i was like ROFLMAO litterally!!! xD
The timer says 007 seconds but he says 3...the 007 was deliberately added in post production but they (probably knowingly) didn't change the words to match it
The Mustang two-wheeling sequence in Diamonds are Forever - now THAT was a mistake :D
Wy don't you just upload it on youtube? That way you can just use the share video function in your comment. Much better way to advertise your video ;)
Just coz Agent XXX knew the car could do that doesn't mean she'd be completely non-plussed to actually be sat in it as it dived headfirst into water.
deceiving video title to get a "view". Really? ;)
A view...to a kill.
Yeah. I also think that moment looks awkward whenever I watch it. But then again, in my opinion, the entire movie "Live and Let Die" is awkward.
@jksonny don't think that AVTAK and Moonraker are that bad and License to Kill is better than Living Daylights IMO
And Number One.... There Where No Drones Yet.... Or Satellites that Can Watch you From Above. 😀😀😀😀
6 is a bad blooper. Bond activated the safety thing to protect the car when he left, and the when he came back, he turned it off.
totally agree with you on yolt, it isn't a good bond. and about fyeo, it would be sensible for Bond to do that first wouldn't it? lol
Actually, *everything* in Die Another Day could constitute one big, giant blooper
@mrmaki7771 It's an alternate name for SIS (Secret Intelligence Service). It was known as this and various other names in WW2.
In that position the helicopter will definitely be moving forwards...and fyi the rotating blades were added in post-production
Just so you know, a cello with a hole like that would sound almost indistinguishable from one without.
Hmmm...why so many dislikes? Do people click dislike because they don't agree? News flash! Nobody is going to with every entry on your list either!
They click dislike because they were looking for bloopers, i.e. the actors making mistakes, but these are not bloopers, they are physics and continuity errors.
1:30 Not a mistake, there are 21 branches in the British Military Intellegence. MI7 = Ministry of Information (1940) which fits Q quite well as he is "the boff". MI5 = Liaison with Security Service (Home Office), MI6 = Liaison with Secret Intelligence Service (Foreign Office). There are 2 main branches of central intellegence now MI5 & 6, the rest of the departments fall into Home Office when dealing with national security or Foreign Office when dealing with foreign affairs.
Thing is they didn't get rid of Dalton, the studio went into financial trouble and couldn't finance another Bond film and by the time they got it back together Dalton declined to continue in the role, they wanted him for the next couple of films, he wasn't fired. For that matter neither was Laznby, he also quit the role after deciding to become a hippie or some such nonsese. Moore's stuff got pretty cheesy and he was way too old by the last couple of films.
Living Daylights was such a poor movie, and so was Liscence to Kill they got rid of Dalton after 2 movies, almost as bad as George Lazenby. Dalton almost cost the franchise due to him being one of the poorest Bond's ever. There would be no logical reason for MGM to get rid of Dalton after two movies if he was as good as you follish believe he is. Roger Moore was before Dalton, and was the longest serving Bond ans so therefor shows that he was one of the best. Brosnan was amazing. Connery is best
So, when considering which one's the worst when it comes to directing and missed potential, that would be Quantum. It could've been the best, but it's disappointing. Not a bad movie overall, but one of the not so good ones in the series.
Although, each and every Bond movie is amusing/entertaining in a special way. It's really all depending on the taste of the individual. *shrugs*
I just said my opinion which was more or less based on facts.
...I didn't say which one's the best. It depends on the taste, really. You're right that I'm not mature yet, but that doesn't really mean anything, does it?
Quantum had its moments. It was fun at the times, I admit. But the action scenes were badly directed. Not maybe as bad directed but badly put together. When the scene is put together from many frames, each one lasting less than a second, you kinda start getting lost in what's happening. I was able to follow, but barely. Many people couldn't
i think ur too picky - ppl will believe anything for 007. that's why we love them, that's why they make 'em. if you really want to bitch about something what about continuity? sean connery is the second bond (now) after casino royale (craig) so wouldn't craig have a male boss, be more interested in SPECTRE or russians or something? this is my one and only problem with the many bonds, well that and On Her Majesty's Secret Service which to me was a poorly drawn cartoon of a Bond film.
He hit Felix (and by the if you want bloopers Felix has been a middle aged white guy with dark hair, and older, balding black guy, and YOUNGER black guy with a moustache as well as middle aged white guy with WHITE hair, take your pick) because Felix was in a public place i.e. the hall of the hotel.
Conserve your GAS supply? Someone (again I wonder who?) has voiced over it. In English (and Roger Moore is English)you would say conserve your air supply. Besides he told HER to conserve her ‘GAS’.
The circle is around 25 feet roughly two and a half lengths of the car, turning circle of an Austin Martin Vantage (DB8) around 11 metres, in a drift, for example skidding on ice, around 8 metres!
836547 spells HCFEDG, the original (seems to be a recurring theme these ‘voice-overs’) Bond it is 6 figure code. Different scene when the PASSWORD is asked for so no mistake.
The glass broke because it was being shot at. The other, from an earlier scene they shoot at the BULLET-PROOF-BODYWORK!
Girl in the pool, the people Bond is supposed to deal with aren’t stupid and it isn’t rocket science to find addresses so let that one go huh?
Leaves Bond behind? No, it’s a little more bit to lighten up the movie.
If you were driven off the end of a pier at speed in a car, blueprints or no blueprints, wouldn’t you be a little worried?
007 on the clock, NOPE 003 seconds, someone (again I wonder who?) has change it. Oh by the way, in the film read-out is in orange this is in white!
YEH, you can see the glass, a little oops there.
Maybe, but would you notice with the whole orchestra playing? A better one is when they use the case as a sled. Two people in a cello case? Hmmmm.
You got that right; helicopters just aren’t built for that.
Yeh, give you that one, but it hardly classes as a blooper more a physical impossibility.
Yep, you can see the stuntman LOL.
Sorry ‘M’ actually says MI6, someone (I wonder who?) has voiced over it and substituted 6 for 7.
You missed the biggest blooper... no blunder of all time. Basically the whole Moon Buggy Nevada desert chase in DAF. The Wheels come off the Buggy in one shot, roll past the camera and lo and behold, next shot all 4 wheels are back on the Buggy. Also, same chase, one of the tri-cycle drivers is knocked off his trike and as he starts it up again, he sits and waits calmly until Sean Connery runs half a mile down a hill to knock him off again. Terrible editing in that sequence. DAF makes no sense.
CONTINUED--> before CRASHING into a mountain side. We don't see this before Bond tells her to get in the jeep due to poor movie editing, but not an actual blooper. The ice-circle shrunk! VENKIR?-X-ray vision is so cool. Saftyglass can be penetrated with the right gun. ...within earshot of the UNconcious thug. Bond YAPS to DEATH. You may be right about the FYEO daybreak scene. Who cares about the life-vest guy in TB. As for the live camera shot from the air during the Japanese lift. THANK YOU!!!!
CONTINUED...Notice HIP looks over his right shoulder in the exitement? Needing to have split-second timing, I might have, too, as I would want to keep an eye on the approaching villains. Perhaps the director figured the audience would get the implication that Bond had got in after or before the girls and that Hip assumed he was in. PROMincraftia is right. No introduction? I'll have to review. You're right-Bond can't count. Actually, the plane has a VERY short distance...MORE...-->
Glass-pane is a blooper but still scary because ITS A TARANTULA!!! & Connery MAKES the scene as he repeatedly slams the thing with his shoe. The Cello would NOT be affected. 'Tomorrow Never Dies' was AWESOME but I agree-this Chopper scene was DUMB. I think the guy might survive untouched, but the jeep may lose its roof(the plane may explode). Why is Gogal even THERE?!?! I can barely hear the 'Mi-7' goof. Plenty's scene is a blooper. Notice looks over his right shoulder in the exitement? ....MORE
IcE Palace-plausible, rocket car-tested at navada salt flats often, G-G-so what? Its a villains name(Dr,No, Goldfinger, Odd-Job, Anya ONNATOP, etc!), Iron-man like control siut-Military is testing simular stuff now, Heart-stop trick-actually real in some martial art forms. As for the inviso-car & the Korean-to-white guy, We are both in agreement(WAIT, I take that back! Some guy named Michael Jackson come to mind... :P).
