Stamos said recently that he and Klugman stayed close after this show and that Klugman even showed up in a wheelchair for the unveiling of Stamos' star in Hollywood.
Sad, yes...but Stamos' character is auditioning to be their lead drummer, which wouldn't have been necessary if Dennis had been alive, sober and part of the group in 1986.
I have a tape recording of myself at seven years old talking to my babysitter on the phone about this show. She asked me what I was doing and I said watching You Again? and I think I said something like the show was okay. :)
I remembered this show and I really did loved it. I am a big fan of Jack Klugman from The Odd Couple. And I liked John Stamos in this series "You Again". Wish it would've lasted more seasons than it did but again if it had, John Stamos wouldn't been on Full House as Jessie.
Well that's because, NBC made a huge mistake by moving the show to a different time slot When the show debut in the spring of '86, the show was given the 8/7 Central Time Slot and Valerie/The Hogan Family (a series from the Producers of Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Full House and Family Matters) was given the 8:30/7:30 Central Time Slot and both shows were hits with You Again? in the Nielsen Ratings Top 20 and Valerie in the Top 25, but in the 86/87 Season, NBC Head of Programming Brandon Tartikoff moved the show to Wednesday Night 9:30/8:30 Central Time Slot against Dynasty and Magnum, P.I. and put ALF in their Time Slot and You Again? was cancelled after only 2 seasons
The BB’s like Elvis did films! Wonder how much acting talent they actually have? Since their time was taken in touring, composing, and practicing, we’ll never know!😊❤
Very rarely were any of the shows my family recorded complete. I've never actually heard the theme song to this show (Or seen another episode, for that matter), but based purely on the Stamos/Klugman factor, I'm sure it has to be good.
"You Again?" was the American version of the British sitcom "Home to Roost," which is on DVD. Elizabeth Bennett, played the same character, Enid, in both series. The British version was better.
I lived by and went through years at school with John. Always a funny guy but sadly pretty dateless in high school until the TV shows. Gee I miss those days John. JFK "fighting Irish "
The Beach Boys operate as a holding company similar to a corporation: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brother_Records Each member holds a share and they make decisions by majority rule. If all of the other members agreed to appear, it is possible Brian/Eugene Landy had no choice. He also appeared in the Full House episode "Beach Boy Bingo" in 1988.
@@80sCommercialVault That must have changed in the 90's as not all the members appeared in all of their television appearances. Brian was absent during their "Home Improvement" appearance and Carl and Brian were nowhere to be found in the band's "Baywatch" appearance (oddly enough David Marks randomly appeared in that particular episode).
Is there anything as quienessencially 80s as a concert for "Say No to Drugs"? When The Beach Boys popped up a few years later on "Full House", did Stamos have to act excited to meet them all over again?

I've always loved watching Jack Klugman in anything he played in. And there's only word to describe John Stamos / WOW..
It's sad Dennis Wilson wasn't around to experience this, and of course Full House.

i love beach boys so much i love all their songs
Uncle Jesse in character already
This was shown down here in New Zealand, but I only remember this one episode, because of The Beach Boys.
So Stamos basically played the uncle jessie character in all of his gigs

omg its an american version of home to roost with the same actress as the housekeeper i had no idea hahaha...loved the english version n love this!!!!
Elizabeth Bennet was also in the original UK TV series Home To Roost she plays the same character.
Oh, my GOD have MERCY....it's.....JESSE!!!!!
Carl wasn't available!?
That new-fangled 80's music...
How can they act like Jack Klugman's character had never heard of the Beach Boys? Even in 1986, they were like 20 years old.
try 25
I miss jack klugman

This show should have lasted. It's a shame it's not in reruns. Would love for more eps to come to UA-cam
James Greek I'm only a minute in and I already like it better than FULL HOUSE.
Yea, has the legendary Jack Klugman in it!
@@Attmay Am guessing it was cancelled because they needed to do Full House well John of course
I saw Jack Klugman on an episode of Disgnosis Murder and his voice changed. Tells you what cigarettes can do
His voice changed due to cancer.
Yes and cigarettes
Me too Attmay. Especially with the legendary Jack Klugman.

@tedm1975 He's not in the audition scene for some reason, but he's in the concert and rehearsal scene later on in the episode.
It *obviously* wasn't recorded (I would have included if it were) AND I've already answered this question.
I lived by and went through years at school with John. Always a funny guy but sadly pretty dateless in high school until the TV shows. Gee I miss those days John. JFK "fighting Irish "
Wow amazing Brian was allowed to do this tv guest spot!

@@80sCommercialVault ahh ok- I'm a major fan of Full house, so I knew that, but did not know the logistics of how! Thank You!

I have an old telephone recording of me at 6 or 7 talking to my babysitter. She asked me what was on tv and I said You Again? :)
OutsIde of Klugman, the Best part of thIs was seeIn BrIan WIlson really engaged In some sort of posItIve way.
@PTH4Fun I know bobtwcatlanta has both versions of the theme songs in his collection of 80s themes
does anyone know where you can buy the series of you again?
@donwon213 Yeah, I thought Wilson had stopped performing with them two decades earlier
At 5:00 - is that Doris from Fame?
Yes
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valerie_Landsburg
Would have been nice if it made it to syndication
did they used the growing pains set
mrmonty86 looks like the full house set to me
They don't look similar at all. Also: You Again = NBC, Growing Pains = ABC.
Have mercy he’s hot

He worked with them from 1988 to 1992 on their albums.
