Doctor Mix is there anyway to get sound patches or Yamaha DX5 software sounds to use on my keyboard? I don't have a Yamaha and I'm using it as a midi controller.

In the Netherlands, it is Barok. Derived from Barock, which is German and probably old Dutch too. A lot of composers were French, but same you can say for German and Italian composers. Since we also had some Dutch composers we're entitled to call it Barok in our own language.

    • @followyourpassion8378

No, it is derived from the Portuguese word "barrocco". But since Bach is German, writing Barock is fine.

Glad Dr.Mix is having a good time. I'm getting a little tired of these workstation keyboards- unless they have something really unique about them they always get out classed by software sample libraries; all of these sounds can be found in boards 5 to 10 years older (and probably have better build quality). If they can bring joy to someone that's great but not for me.

it's a kind of simpler to Kronos , Korg are doing interesting things , I had a long chat with their sales team & there are good things going on. Sales, Refurbished items on their online store at good prices . Picked up a refurbed D1 piano over £100 cheaper than RRP & it's as new . Some years back I had a triton le fitted with new keybed & they got all the bumps n bruises out of the chassis, plus , it came back like a new synth. I love Korg ... but you sold me on a Yamaha reface YC few days ago. so thanks Doc , keep 'em coming.

It is apparent that I have been away from synths WAY too long! Way back when, I used to entertain myself with a friend's Poly-800 and we both drooled over the DW-6000 that was set up at the local music shop. Kind of boggling that I wound up with a Roland Alpha Juno-1, haha!
Anyway, one interesting feature that I noticed about the Nautilus in another video is that an existing sustain will continue playing out when you switch to a new patch; it's not like the old days where any sounds were immediately cut off as soon as you changed to a different patch.

    Claudio, I have a question.
With your experience, and testing the keys. What keyboard?
    I have a kronos 2 73, and a krome 88 first generation.
I want to exchange my krome.
Actually I play alone, singing and playing. Producing in my home too.
My mind think in 2 options of workstations: change krome in Nautilus or Roland Fantom-0.
In live musice I play with midis, like a playback, doing a piano parts.
    - What considerations do you have for me and others that thinking in Nautilus or Fantom-0?
    - The missing controllers in Nautilus change the level of playing live music?
    - The Fantom-0 have a big difference for a big Fantom?
    - I watch your last videos, and I see a big Fantom, what characterists have weighted for your choice?
    Thanks Bro!!

It has no aftertouch and no keyboard tbh will ever sound as Kronos because that keyboard is probably the only that has the SSD in it. But the nautilus sounds good for pure PCM. And no aftertouch, that sounds really great. It could be compared to montage and the new fantom.

    • @tonylancer7367
      @tonylancer7367 4 роки тому +2

@@daeone1514 The Nautilus has an SSD. It also has quite a number of sounds directly from the Kronos.
You can check the sound list here: www.gearslutz.com/board/electronic-music-instruments-and-electronic-music-production/1294744-new-korg-nautilus-15.html
You will notice that it's the same, they just took out here and there but it's essentially the same. But the price is just wrong, unless it's not supposed to compete in the midrange market.

@@daeone1514 OMFG get tf over it. Nautlus is missing aftertouch, Karma, ribbon strip, vector stick, a bay for an optional 2nd SSD drive, a lot of Kronos 2 expansions from 2015, and a lot of buttons and knobs. If you want all of that, just pay $3400 for a brand new 61-key 2015 Kronos 2 and STFUSB. Nautilus is only $2200. It has a 60GB SSD in it like Kronos. Nautlus has some of the expansions from Kronos 2. But Nautilus also has a ton of new 2020 sounds that no Kronos can even get. If Nautilus owners wanted every single sound thats in a bs 2015 Kronos2, they can go to Korg shop and pay $399 for the Kronos sound pack, which includes Ambiance Drums, Berlind D, etc. But Kronos owners cant get any Nautilus sounds like Bass collection, vintage keyboards 2, historical keyboards, etc. Face it, Kronos is an old piece of s^%%, from ten years ago. Karma is one of the most powerful pieces of kit to ever grace a workstation. So no, it's not a 'pos' whatsoever. I actually just had an a-list artist ask me to rig 2 triton ex boards for a performance in front of some 20, 000 people. That board is VASTLY older than Kronos. It worked fine.
Nautilus has a completely different interface style. You may like, you may not. Use whichever and leave people to their business. Insulting each other over a preferred method is childish and asinine.

It seems like you need to make another video, just to talk about things like usability, keybed sensation, that strange 4 aux output jacks.... Right now I am sold to the idea of a Yamaha ModX as my next keyboard, but this Nautilus seems to be really something to take in consideration.

@@filtafacta I know Nautilus great track
. It just sounded like the intro to rotary connection “I am the black gold of the sun” which Dr mix has said is his favourite song. However with the few erroneous notes I have to misquote it. 😂Haha. Thanks. All the best

@@klisher understood. The keyboard isn't called "The Black Gold Of The Sun" though but it is called Nautilus 😀

@@filtafacta Dumb Dumb. He’s talking about the first piano riff. Lol. It’s by a Band called Rotary Connection. The band had Minnie Ripperton it.

Very versatile in your musical repertoire. I need a real keyboard. Is it better to get something just as a master keyboard for Cubase? You didn't mention what the keyboard touch felt like. Has it adjustable weighting?

Think I'll stick with my Kronos Gold 88 weighted keyboard though sounds good

In your experience, which is better, Korg Nautilus or Yamaha Modx? In terms of Pianos, EPs, acoustic instruments?
