As a Filipino currently studying my chinese to be fluent, I got inspired once again by this interview. I love Chinese but you know the learning really gets hard as you tackle harder grammars and vocabulary. But after watching this interview, it just made me more inspired to pursue my goal of being fluent and motivated by the opportunities that awaits a bilingual. Thank you J-K Network Services. Road to foreign language fluency.

I know of a couple of full blooded Filipinos who had studied Mandarin at their school and became fluent. My cousin in Dagupan and my step daughter who is currently studying at PISA

I love mandarin language..you have to set motivation ang goal before you start learning it, because it's not going to be easy specially at the beggining..if you don't have goal and motivation you might just give up..just enjoy learning..it's worth it.

The reason why we don't have a lot of Filipinos who learn Chinese is because of the anti-China sentiment here sadly.

There is actually alot of Filipinos learning Mandarin as we speak and more highschools in the RP have Mandarin electives. There is also up to 6 universities with Chinese Studies departments that also train teachersto teach Mandarin.
