i must comment that it is just awe inspiring listening to these classic games being reimagined with such a vibrant orchestra. It almost gives the games new life
Imagine. Me and my brother dident like the game as kids when our dad brought it back from the video game shop. When he returned it to the shop the guy wouldn't accept that we dident like it and convinced my dad to take it back. What a legend
I love it when this song played to open Super Metroid. I remember I was 5, scared out of my mind, yet deeply engrossed. I beat the game 6 times as a young child, and I grew more scared of this game the more I played it as a young child! XD Flash forward a few years, and I got Metroid Prime in my Gamecube for the first time. I was thinking "man, this game is going to suck." This song starts at the opening, I kill a giant bee creature thing, and crap goes down. Metroid Prime was awesome, too!
Why does it seem like the best music came out in gaming at a time when the technology was really insufficient to deliver its full potential? Can you imagine Super Metroid with a fully orchestrated score? It'd be fucking amazing. Shame, shame.
Actually, look up Samo Studios. He has an album dedicated to Metroid. And it's orchestrated. Available on iTunes. There's also a Metroid synthetic orchestra that sounds legit also available on iTunes. Check em out.
Kale P They had to focus on making consistent, strong beats back then, since they had less to work with, and music composed in that way is much more memorable. Take Guile's theme for example (meme notwithstanding). Really, most modern music that's good follows this principle. Personally I love, say, 300 Violin Orchestra.
HerroShad3 well maybe that is a problem with nintendo. Sony is a japanese company treats the west great. Nintendo should too and maybe the wii u wouldnt have sold bad.
It really does have a problem, I mean look at Other M, Sakamoto tried panderizing Other M to the Japanese and the were like, eh it's okay, while we all know what happened here.
hard to believe that now Metroid 2 is now the most vital game in the series (mainly the remix) it introduces the idea of Metroid evolution SR38 which would return in fusion and be a vital part of dread and the 3ds version sets up Super Meteoid seemlessly with Ridley discovery the untapped power of the last metroid in existence and how Samus has allowed the X Parisite to infest the entire planet and eventually ZDR
No Nintendo franchise cares as much about continuity as Metroid, and that's probably part of why its fans are so dedicated, even if it's not a top seller.
I seriously wouldn't care if they could rip this music up into sections and put it directly into a game instead of creating new music this stuff sounds perfect for a new Metroid game with a Super Metroid feel and tone
I did some research into these tracks and found that they are considered some of the rarest musical albums in the world. I would love to have them if just to copy over to my iPod. I would like to know where the one who posted this, j04353, found it, and the others like it. I would also greatly appreciate it if he would point me to the place that I can get them, if it still exists.
@@Sprocketman Poor form the whole concert is ruined #awful. But in all seriousness this is such an amazing performance and arrangement of one of my fav video games themes :)
@@erimahmet4461 lol, no, you're fine: and I just watched multiple covers of this by the Video Games Live concert and they do the same thing: I guess it's just a hard series of notes to play

I must admit this orchestra is absolutely so epic and deserved to be number one!

because back then people put more effort in to their games

If there is a movie of this series, this would be perfect for the credits.
"See you next mission!"
Oh this was too good, thanks for posting :)
... Rusty's Real Deal Baseball 2
god damn this gives me the same vibes the star wars theme music does. shit is so underrated
PLAY IT LOUD! PLAY IT LOUD! PLAY IT LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, this makes me wish that we had a Super Metroid like how Zero Mission did it for the original, except in a 2 1/2D style like 3D but 2D platformer.
why is this not happening?!
+Mr. Popo because nintendo hates metroid.
Ridley the pirate More along the line that the Japanese don't really like Metroid, too western for them.

Nothing will be as good as this
4:12 such a beautiful arrangement I love listening to it it’s amazing I wish this was on streaming platform. This would be really cool.
@spybloom The world would explode from the sheer amounts of awesome such a collaboration as those 2 could make.
7:40 Whoops. Someone is gonna get Hannibal Lectered.
7:40 And everything was so epic up until this very moment. Why?????
What happened?
This was part of a recording of an entire concert, so I’m going to guess exhaustion
@Noah H drunk metroid))
@@Sprocketman You can't win em all eh)
@@Sprocketman Yeah probably exhaustion. Just a couple of flat notes in there.
Yeah. It seems bizarre, but there's something about the electronically synthesized bit music that just never gets old.
The best song of the concert.
Aw! My heart melted at maridia starting up, idk why but I've always wanted to hear it like this.
I don't remember hearing maridia in this tho
True, as long as you aren't implying that the music in the Metroid Prime games is bad for not being 16 bit or anything of the sort.
My father made a Metroid Music CD back in like 2003, and this was on it. Guess what killed the (Multiple) CD Players?
Wonderful 🎉
I can finally have to pass super Metroid un 2 days
i need to know where to download this song

Dang, this good...
@hydropie
thats so true!

@NorfairPrince actually, now he does (blame Metroid Prime)

:O
SPEEDRUN TIME!!!
If Nintendo did a Metroid movie and hired John Williams to do the soundtrack.
I think its more kind of Danny Elfman mixed with David Arnold.
