My first dip into the Metroid series was Fusion....then a bit later I got Prime.....then I got Samus Returns when it was released. Now Dread has cemented my love of the series and my desire to play Super Metroid. Hearing this music fills me with such happiness
Oh man I love this. Metroid is my most favorite franchise of all time....with Super Metroid being my favorite game of all time. I literally would leave my TV and snes on just to listen to the music play on an infinite loop. I love Lower Norfair section of the performance...it's one of my favorite songs in the game. The Ridley fight song was good too and that guitar was on point

There were soundtracks from Metroid Prime. Most notably Magmoor Caverns and Phendrana Drifts. Then again I've only ever completed Super Metroid twice. Once on the Wii U and once on the New 3DS XL.

I wonder if you can still do it on the Wii? I'd have to dust off my Wii or Wii U and re-play the game in a bit...

Nintendo could have included this as an inclusion w/Metroid Dread just like Zelda had done w/Skyward Sword ten years ago on Zelda's 25th by including a CD which had 8 symphonic versions of 8 different songs -The Legend of Zelda 25 Anniversary Medley -Kakariko Village -Twilight Princess Theme -The Wind Waker Symphonic Movement -Gerudo Valley -Great Fairy Fountain Theme -The Legend of Zelda Main Theme Medley -Ballad of the Goddess from Skyward Sword *UNFORTUNATELY* those damn lowlife Scalpers would buy 'em in bulk and resell it for 4x the retail price just like they're doing w/ the special edition version of the physical copy.
Can I like this a million times? Truly the best Metroid orchestral suite I've ever heard, thank you!! Brinstar and Kraid brought legit smiles and tears❤
Interesting and distinctive that this medley is generally jauntier and livelier than most other Metroid arrangements, particularly the "Super Metroid Story" section at the start which invariably slams down the looming presence elsewhere.
