Could I please request for TOP's - Act Like Nothing's Wrong in his earlier days - such a powerful performance, and then followed by Pretended/Doom DADA live - you will see how the powerful has become explosive. I know you are in Part 3, and I feel sad already the we are over the hump and going toward the end. Thank you for visiting with our dear BIGBANG and giving of yourself.
Monster is actually not just a typical sad song. It was made for VIPs who turned their backs on BB during the time when a lot of issues were thrown to them. That's why they said 'I love you. Baby, I'm not a monster.'
Monster was released in 2012. That year was so significant, because in 2011 the band went through two big scandals. The media was making everything worse, exaggerating and straight up lying to the public in some instances, which caused people to petition for their disbandment. Some people even wanted some members to unalive themselves. In 2012, they came back with a major release, better than ever with songs like Monster, Bad Boy, Blue, and of course the iconic Fantastic Baby.
If I remember correctly, Blue was the first Kpop video to get 2 million views in one day, which was huge back then. Even by 2015 or so, getting 2 million views in 24 hours was only achievable by a few groups; before the streaming parties were popular
Monster was the songs for fans who leave fandom because of scandal.

The guy with the super bowl cut is G-Dragon. He is known to be a hair trendsetter in Korea. Every comeback, aside from BB's music, they wait for GD's hairstyle and hair color/s (and that's how 'different hair color for every comeback' trend started in K-Pop industry.)

This album was their great comeback after the Daesung and GDs scandals.
MONSTER is with FLOWER ROAD, STILL LIFE Level. Coz it is about ex-VIPs. The song was released under ALIVE Album along with Fantastic Baby. ALIVE Album was their comeback album after suffering from previous hardships/dark moments. . . It took about how they felt and thought for and about the VIPs who left BIGBANG or the fandom. How the exVIPs saw them during that time. So, it's very close to the heart. Very personal to the VIPs.
The line I LOVE YOU. BABY, I'M NOT A MONSTER is literally BIGBANG talking to exVIPs who saw them as monsters because of scandals.

Wow, great reaction Chris! Thanks for pointing out all the musical re-arrangements they made to this live performance. In the Monster MV, all of them were represented as monsters being hunted down. This is representative of their situation irl at that time when they were hit by scandals, attacked by media and even VIPs left them. Hence, TOP's lyrics:

I would recommend MAMA 2010 . Dorian Gray has the entire performance with sub and explanation . BigBang just owns the stage , all looks so natural. If a time machine gets invented I would take it to a BigBang concert . You can see 100 lives and dont get bored , there is always some little difference . Is for us and for them too or it gets boring . To quote an artist from my country " Make some noise , you will never see bastards with such a biography ever again " . It really is an incredible lost they will not perform as 5 anymore.

Thank you for BB week 2! I always enjoyed a Zutter live showcase, forgot the station, where TOP forgot to poke GD’s cheek and GD had to poke both sides, lol. Live performances are amazing, I saw GD solo at Kcon years ago and he killed the stage! Later went to MADE in Las Vegas; never sat down for the entire show. Made friends with all the other VIPs around me, was unforgettable. 👑
My personal fav concert is the Alive galaxy tour final in Seoul. Its available in full with eng. subs here on YT. Highly recommend it!

So, if you are surprised to listen to them in the slower songs / ballads you should definitely do your next reaction just focused on their ballads. That s where I think they shine the most... ❤

Monster was a song after scandal..baecause of the scandals lots of people thought bigbang's career would stop. The scandal was in 2011and from 2007~2010 bigbang was top boyband with numerous mega hit songs as a band and as a solos and 'gd and top' sub unit album. They were already legend then. However In spite of many accusations and controversies, they made a history again with alive album and right after that album, monster was released

Monster was a special project, yg x hyundai card. It should have had better response if they promoted it. They were already in their ‘alive’ world tour when monster was released. They only performed it in their concerts. However, did the song top the charts? Yes, it did😆
And ‘alive’ they are.

Monster came out along with the Alive album with Blue, Fantastic Baby and Bang Bang Bang.
Personally at that time, Blue was my jam. But my little sister loved Monster.
My first ever concert was Bigbang's Alive tour when I was 18. The energy cannot be replicated by other Kpops till today. Just being there made me cry LMAO.

Nice reaction again. Agree about serious bowl cut :) I think in Monster they are breaking out of the prison they have been put in by people that want to turn them into monsters. As others have said - it was I think an mv to (ex?) VIP's that believed the worst after a couple of incidents (which they were cleared of) saying don't demonise us, don't leave us. Don't you know who we are? We're not monsters. I love the version of "If You" that you played, but the one that really gets me is their live in Bangkok, imo worth checking out on your own if you want to.
