I've just installed the same lights and used your video to help me, thank you very much. Do you know if there is a way for the dipped beam to stay on as well when using full beam?
Hi there, great info on video......there were two white allen head adjusters on the top of the new units - can you remember do they adjust the up/down or l/r of the dipped beam and main beam lamps?
I have the 1.9 which I'm learning on (didn't realise they were so easy). Done everything myself. Same front-end as yours which I really like the look of. Changing the turbo looks like it was easier than the head lights ha ha. Keep up the good work. Vans looking mint
Hi, really useful vid thanks. You mentioned a link to get the replacement led bulbs - I may be not looking properly but can’t see that - could you advise please as not finding from simple searches online so far.. N
Hi there. I have changed my headlights on my 2006 t5 h4 bulbs to headlights with h7 low beam and h1 high beam. I tought it will be plug and go,but it is not. After pluging new lights ...indicators-work,parking lights -work,high beams h1-works......only h7 low beam dont work. Any toughts? ...wiring harness,or? Thanks for reply.... Mark.
I have angel eyes on my T5 and they are great although they are for a LHD. Do you know if you can alter them to make them RHD? It would really help if I can do this as I bought the van with them on.
I think Travelin-Lite do a wiring harness that is plug and play which sorts it. Theres also a way vy removing the steering wheel and switching a couple fo wires over, but you'll need to search in some of the T5 forums for that one as I've never tried it!
These ones are bulbs, but some other designs are strips. Bulbs are easy enough to replace (usually with the headlight out) and LED strips probably need a bit of minor soldering to replace
Thank you so much for replying ! I have the code - va 1370 lights from van style do you know we’re I can get a replacement led strip for them ??? Thank you 👍👍👍👍
Probably worth calling Vanstyle, but if not then I’d remove the light, see what the strip looks like and then hit eBay for a suitable replacement to solder or connect in. Not a 5 min job.
I bought some extra bright H7 & H4 from Halfords, but would encourage you to get in touch with TravelinLite as they’re experts at supplying the perfect bulbs for aftermarket headlights. Some bulbs are awful, others excellent 👌🏼🎥🚐
Hi there you said you were going to past a link to the leveling of your new headlights at home on a garage or wall in the description but I can't see where you linked it in there. Please can you link in the one you used please. Thanks
lol, that's my son, he was camera-man... but full of a cold, just had a laugh about it when I was editing it, there's a few occasions throughout the video where he is heavy breathing, slightly odd!!!! lol
The halogen bulbs are H7 & H1 - I went for upgraded (brighter) bulbs. Be aware that some upgraded halogen bulbs may be too hot for the light and could cause potential problems.
You can change the normal H7 & H1 driving bulbs with some nimble fingers, but no chance on the DRL LED angel eye bulbs, headlight out (bumper off) for those!
Thanks for the vid pal. Got a set of new lights to add when I’ve finished colour coding a spare bumper(with a sexy splitter) this will help me out a lot.👍🏻
So I noticed you have fitted a debadged front grill and filled the gap on your bonnet. However at one point in the video the bonnet badge gap is there! So question Is , have you actually had the bonnet gap professionally filled or are you using the plastic filler that was supplied with the grill? As it looks invisible for most of the video.
Well noticed sir! I did a load of bodywork whilst the bumper was off, one bit was filling in the bonnet notch. I used a plastic insert, bonded it on, then filled it with filler, sanded down and primered it. Didn’t do a full video, sadly not enough time, but have a rushed video that Im posting up next week of some of the repair work I’ve done. It was dropped off this morning to get sprayed!
Awesome ! Good man I have the same job to do on mine. I'm no body work expert though, so anything you can post to show your work will be fab. Ta buddy.
I have the same configuration but i want To know if i can put the hood of the facelift (t5 . 2) like this : ua-cam.com/video/I0rieJ9kvwg/v-deo.html Thanks à lot
What's the prettiest front end in your opinion, the T5, T5.1 or T6?!?
G Dub TV T5.1 👍🏼👍🏼
I have a t5, but out of the 3, i like the 5.1 front end👍🏽
T5.1 with xenon headlights👌🏻
5.1 for sure
I've just installed the same lights and used your video to help me, thank you very much. Do you know if there is a way for the dipped beam to stay on as well when using full beam?
Sorry pal, for the life of me I can't remember... I seem to remember there being a little loom you could get, but might be wrong

i'm going to have to get a set of these for my bus..so glad to see you haven't "upgraded" your front end to T5.1
Thanks, I love the front end on the T5, plus couldn’t spare £1k for facelift parts!!
i couldn't agree more! besides..going forward how many original T5's would be left? lol..i guess ours will become rare..:)
@@MakeItMetal They still aren't haha

Sounds exciting!!
Hi nice job mate but could you tell me are they a good improvement at night compared to stock lights
When switching the lights I added some better bulbs, tbh it was an improvement, but not massively!
Hi there how many led are there for each light do i need to buy two sets or just one
Great video thanks

what transporter you showing? I got a t5. 1....
Do you know the trick to get low and high beam at the same time

Ive never really been a fan of LED's, i just wondered if any of them have stopped working since you fitted them?
All still working thanks bud!
What bulb's did you use, I've just bought a set of these and halo fog lights

I had an mot not long after so they did it, there’s a video on UA-cam of someone doing it.
are you also going to put an m3 badge at the back?
If it makes it go any faster I'll give it a go!
G Dub TV i dare you :-)
Why have you added a heavy breather sample in the background? 7:16 😬
lol, that's my son, he was camera-man... but full of a cold, just had a laugh about it when I was editing it, there's a few occasions throughout the video where he is heavy breathing, slightly odd!!!! lol
What types of bulbs do the main headlights take? 448 and?
The halogen bulbs are H7 & H1 - I went for upgraded (brighter) bulbs. Be aware that some upgraded halogen bulbs may be too hot for the light and could cause potential problems.
@@GDUBTV Good you mention that! I just orderd a set of non black ones, any idea what halogen bulbs to avoid? Thank. Nice channel btw
Where did did buy the the lights from??
I got them direct from Amazon, Travelin-Lite may be able to help tho
Do you have to take the bumper off to remove the lights ???
Yep, sadly!
G Dub TV oh that’s a shame , feel like that’s a lot to do if you just want to change the bulbs

No probs, I skimmed over the bumper removal and fitting but it's pretty simple, hope it all goes to plan!
Love this look - How long did it take to remove the bumper and wheels ect to take the old lights off?
Thanks, I reckon most people could probably do it within 4/5 hours start to finish
Do you do conversions on other vans apart from your own
Not so far, happy to risk bodging my own van but have never been confident bodging someone elses for money!!! ...but you never know!
G Dub TV cheers mate. If you do let me know I’m in swanley
I grew up just down the road in Joydens Wood, small world!
Did U not fancy eyebrow leds? I think they’d look sharper than the angels. Nice use of zip ties on that wheel arch. 🤪
Hi bud, I’d looked at R8 style ones (quite a few in fact!), these lights were my favourites. Zip ties save the day!!!

Thaks bud, glad it's helpful ;)
They look mint Mate,nice one👍👍
Thanks bud, I'm well pleased with them!
Want to give or sell those old eyebrow plastics from old frontlights?:)
Thanks for the add. Helped alot👍🏼
Great!
Did darth Vader film this video 😂😂
Hahahaha, that was my son, with a cold, only noticed after I’d edited it!!! 🤣🤣🤣
